Getting In the Mood (vol. 11.)

Christmas Eve! All the gifts are wrapped. We've decorated home baked ornaments. I made a Chewbacca Gingerbread man/Wookie, my son made Sans (from Undertale) gingerbread man. my daughter made a few snowmen and did a handprint and heart.

Buffalo Chicken Dip is in the Crockpot and Hanky-Pankies are prepped for Christmas Eve junk food eating and movie watching fun. If you are asking, Hanky-Pankies are ground meat, sage sausage, sautéed with some herbs and spices, then drain the grease. Mix in Velveeta cheese. Spoon onto party ryes. Freeze them. Then when you want to smash some, heat them up in the oven at 350 degrees for maybe ten minutes. Have a nice Christmas Ale with them. I recommend Lake Erie Brewing Company's Christmas Ale or Troeges Mad Elf Ale.

Honestly, my feeling is Christmas Eve is better than Christmas Day. Yes I love seeing the kids excited and them & my wife happy with their gifts and getting together with family...normally, but not this year. But Christmas Eve has the build up. It's great family time. Christmas wouldn't be nearly as fun if it wasn't for Christmas Eve. And I'm wasting too much time doing this, so lets get to the song.

This is my favorite Christmas song. I think it's the most underrated one out there. It doesn't get nearly enough air-play. Maybe I'm biased because it's from my youth, but this song says what Christmas is about. It's about Love and being with the people we love.

Billy Squier's "Christmas Is a Time to Say I Love You."

Merry Christmas!!!

Monday Moaning

Christmas is just about here, and Santa needs to get busy...But he always has time to not only give, but sometimes, he likes to receive as well...And the Beeze has been busy too...I've been trying my best to get into the Christmas spirit...And once the world didn't end Friday, I was forced to...The Mrs. and I had done no Christmas shopping at all...So Friday I did a little after a hellish day at work...Saturday morning she did a bunch...Then Saturday afternoon I went out and finished...

But I still wasn't super Christmasy...So I dug in and did some blogging...I posted my top 15 Christmas movies HERE...and my top Christmas songs HERE...

Sunday lead to spending more money on groceries for our annual family Christmas Eve party...It's become a tradition at our house, that my oldest daughter won't let die...I hope to one day have a bigger house and add friends to the mix, but right now it's just family...Mostly my side...The menu isn't fancy...We'll have a ham...Hanky Pankies...(ground meet, sausage, cheese, oregano, garlic, all mixed together and baked on party rye's)...Buffalo Chicken Dip...Shrimp Cocktail...My Holiday Balls...(Meat balls, thrown in a crock pot with chili sauce and grape jelly...Shockingly awesome!)...Beer, wine, soda, and my holiday punch...(Raspberry sherbet, ginger ale, strawberries, and vodka)...

So my Sunday was full getting that stuff together, and getting the kids out of the house so, my wife could get all the kids stuff wrapped, and hidden...Once again the kids and I went skating...The boy is getting better each time...

I watched a little of the Browns game...They looked like dirt, stinkin' ass...Bunch of guys got hurt..Who cares...After the game Josh Cribbs started firing off tweets at fans who are finally seeing what I've seen...The guy has become useless...Way to botch a punt return...Returns are all this guy did really well, now he sucks at those too...He's talking about leaving, and let me be the first to say, goodbye!    Fucking waste of a roster spot!

The Indians signed Nick Swisher to a $56 million contract for 5 years...He's 32...WHY!?! So he can strike out a lot like the other guys they picked up this off-season...Oh, and lets not how he faded out last year with the Yankees...What is he going to finish the season strong with the Indians now...Surrounded by a weaker lineup, and out of the playoff hunt...People are excited about this move...Not this Cleveland pessimist...I think it's another mistake, in a long line of front office mistakes...

See people, this is why I was digging into Christmas hard...Because Cleveland sports make me sick...So, I'm announcing my baseball fandom is going to test the free agency market...I'll decide on which team I'm gonna get on board with in April, and for how long...As the NFL rolls into the playoffs, I'm all in with the Patriots...But I'll be rooting for the Seahawks in the NFC...Shit, I love how gritty that team is...Did you see them just blow up the 49ers Sunday night...42-13...WOW!

Next week, I'll have more sports for you...The College Bowl madness will be in full swing, and I'll be getting geared up for Notre Dame vs. Alabama...Can't wait!

With that all said, I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas...Or Happy whatever the fuck you celebrate...Just be sure to enjoy it, and enjoy it with the ones you love...

I'll leave you with a song from a group called Savatage...They did "Metal Operas" back in the day...Eventually a couple of them started Trans-Siberian-Orchestra...I always break this album out around Christmas, because the story takes place at Christmas time...The famous TSO "Christmas Eve (Sarajevo)" was originally on this disc...This is the closing song, and I still love it...(Thanks Chorba)

Merry Christmas..Have a week...

Monday Moaning

Welcome to another week...First, check out the College Football WRAP_UP...

So after all that, Sunday night the first BCS rankings were released...1. Alabama...2. Florida...3. Oregon...4. Kansas State...5. Notre Dame...I'm okay with those rankings...While 'Bama hasn't played anyone of any significance, they're power-house, and I see them rolling through their schedule...Florida has earned a top 3 spot...Oregon is a mother fucker...Shit, Nick Saban is already crying about how fast-paste their offense is, and wants rule changes to slow them down...Bastard is already looking ahead to playing them for the championship, and is scared...Kansas State has been cock-strong, and their schedule is solid, especially since the Big-12 looks like the toughest conference this year...And Notre Dame has told Rick Riley, and all other haters, to eat their ass...Hard-nosed defense, and timely plays on offense has them undefeated, and looking to really screw up the BCS....

After the top five it gets messy...LSU is 6th, which is fucking retarded since they lost to Florida, squeaked past South Carolina, and played nobody else...South Carolina is 7th...They play a tough schedule but this is too high after losing to LSU...Oregon State is 8th...Undefeated, and 8th...That's Bullshit...Undefeated Miss State is 12...Again, bullshit...They should be higher...Really, everything below the top five is a mess, and a lot of guess work...A big pile of bullshit is Ohio University not making the top 25 at 7-0...They finally cracked  the AP, at 25...Bunch of crap...

-Last week the Cleveland Indians named Terry Francona their new manager...There wasn't too much fanfare, considering how it's football season, and baseball takes a back seat...I'm happy as hell about this...This is the best managerial hiring the Indians have made since Mike Hargrove....Everyone after him has been a mistake, that all got too long to try and prove themselves...Francona is legit...If he can't turn the Tribe around in few years, they should just contract the fucking team...

-The Cleveland Browns got their first win this week, beating the Cincinnati Bengals...I didn't watch it...we had the Little Beeze's birthday party this morning/afternoon, at Chuck-E-Cheese...With Molly's issues after her surgery, he kinda got shafted on his birthday, so we made it up to him...

After we got home, I put on the Browns for a few minutes...I watched Trent Richardson stand there and let a defensive lineman run right past him, and sack Brandon Weeden...Right then I turned it off...There were toys to play with...I didn't need another fucking Browns headache...SO they won, and I missed it...I don't feel like I missed anything...

Local Sports guy Jim Donovan was talking about the win on the news...He was acting like it was the greatest moment in Cleveland Sports history...Like they won the Super Bowl...He was almost in tears...They beat the Bengals...Once...Holy shit, calm down guy!

-So the NHL has fucked up again...Bill Burr put it best this past week on Opie & Anthony..."The NHL has a fear of success."  They must, because they were doing well, and then they lockout the players...A day after a bunch of owners threw insane money to sign players to contracts...But they're crying about not making enough money, and players salaries being to high...It's your faults assholes!

But there's still hockey out there folks...The AHL season got going...And so did college hockey...The Fighting Irish started their season by winning the Ice Breaker Tournament...Friday night They beat Maine 1-0...Then Saturday night they beat Nebraska Omaha 3-2...Listen people...It's not the NHL, and that's not a bad thing...There is some great college hockey being played out there...If you need a fix, check it out...

-Saturday night after The Fighting Irish stuffed Stanford at the goal-line, The Mrs. and I Went to see "Argo"...Great movie...A true story that was kept quiet until 1997...Seriously, and amazing story...And again, Ben Affleck showed that he's a better director then he is a actor...Although he isn't bad in the movies he directs...Check it out...

After the movie we grabbed a late dinner...We were in the mood for steak...The wife had a filet and baked sweet potato...

Dude, that Sweet potato is huge...I think it weighed more than my 24 ounce Porterhouse...

The service blew, but the steaks and beer were good...While sitting there, keeping an eye on the college football games I saw it come across that Derek Jeter broke his ankle...I have to say, I wasn't sad...I got nothing against Jeter, except that he is a Yankee...So him going down is fine with me...Just puts more pressure on A-Roid, who is just a fucking choke machine!

And why is it that people are so forgiving of A-Roid and Andy Pettite, and others, who got busted for PED's...I've spent plenty of time bashing Lance Armstrong since it has come out that he is God's gift to cheating...Just as I have with A-Roid and others...But it seems that the media, and most people have forgotten the number of high-profile people who have been busted for cheating...But they're okay beating on Armstrong...Don't get me wrong...Hammer away on him...He's lied and cheated, and it makes me sick...But let's not forget other cheats...Why isn't anyone saying 'A-Roid is in the tank because he's finally off the juice, and he's shit without it!'  I'm sick of the media harping on a topic for a week or so, and then just forgetting all about their outrage...

-I have one political comment to make...For the first time since I started voting, I just don't fucking care who wins the election....I'm so sick of the ads...I'm so sick of the non-stop bullshit...The lies on top of lies...Both sides, just fucking being assholes...And I'm tired of both sides saying they have a plan to get the economy working, and creating more jobs...But no one is actually showing or telling us their "plan"...And how the fuck are these guys going to just magically create jobs?  Are they going to just make up a bunch of federal jobs...Then everyone will be bitching about our tax dollars being wasted on that...I'm sorry Mitt...I'm sorry Mr. President...I'm calling bullshit...You're making promises you know you can't keep...The truth is, you, just like most people have no idea how to get more people working...And Mr. Ryan, could you please actually explain your idiotic budget plan, instead of saying, "I don't have enough time to explain it."  Yes you do, you just don't know how to answer the tough questions about it...

Seriously, I'm sick of it all...I have no faith in any of these dolts...The system is broken...And as much as they all say they care about us, they've done nothing to prove that.

And before I go...Just remember...Don't fuck with a Cleveland BUS_DRIVER!

Have a week...

The Beeze.

Monday Moaning

Well this weekend, was my birthday weekend...My birthday fell on Sunday, so I consider the whole weekend as my birthday...And it was a good time...Saturday afternoon Mrs. Beeze and I went to Cleveland's historic, West Side Market for lunch, and to load up on some food...You can get anything there...Great butchers, bakers, and pasta makers...Great local produce, at great prices...And after a few beers, I was ready to find some hipsters to punch...Oh how the hipsters love the Ohio City area...

We got 5 red peppers, and 6 green peppers for $3...You can't beat that...And those, along with some meat we got, lead to my Sunday birthday dinner...My fucking awesome (if I do say so myself) Stuffed Peppers...

The rest of Saturday I spent catching up on COLLEGE_FOOTBALL...That and Mrs. Beeze giving me my favorite birthday present...No, not the 1976 Fender Starcaster I wanted...

Sunday I took the kids to the park, while the wife did some shopping for the Little Beeze's B-day, which is Tuesday...Then she baked a cake for us to have after my awesome Stuffed Peppers...Then I got my gift from the kids...They got me a swear jar...These little smart-ass, shits!  Couple of ball-busters!  The boy better watch it, or I'm taking his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles back to Toys-R-Us...

So in sports, the big story was the replacement refs screwing the pooch during the Monday Night Football game between Green Bay and Seattle...Now I was rooting for Seattle, if for no other reason than to screw with my buddy Ryan...But there were some really bad calls in this game, along with some bad no calls...But then came the Hail Mary at the end...And holy shit balls, the sports world went crazy...I thought the call was wrong, but it was made, and the replay officials stood by it...But then our buddy Mo posted this LINK on Facebook and I'm willing to buy into it possibly, if for no other reason then I was pissed about all the people who were shitting on Golden Tate and company for celebrating the win...A win is a win, and you're happy when you get one, especially after a hard-fought game, like that one...

And Packers fans, who were so upset, and felt they had a win stolen from them...Watch the game again...The Seahawks defense kicked your Packers ass all over the field...Green Bay's defense showed up, but the offense was crap...They got owned by Seattle...No one is entitled to wins...They're earned, and if you really watched that game, you didn't earn it Green Bay!  Yeah, my Packer Backer friends are gonna have something to say about that!

The replacement refs sucked through their brief stint in the NFL...And I was just about ready to stop tuning into the NFL...Then the league came out and backed up the refs TD call from Monday night, which at that point I was firmly planted in the they got it wrong camp...And hours later they were trying their best to hammer out a  deal with the real refs, to get them out on the field for Thursday nights game...I'm sorry, but right then, what little credibility the league had, was lost in my eyes...

So Thursday night, I didn't watch one second of the Browns and Ravens game...And let me tell you this...It was wonderful...It's amazing what not watching the Browns will do for your mental well-being...The wife and I popped on a few episodes of "Arrested Development" on Netflix, bumped uglies, and she went to bed...Then I watched my fellow Browns fans be miserable once again on Twitter and Facebook...And there I sat, grinning from ear to ear...No stress...No frustration...I mean you go into a Browns game expecting them to blow, but if you don't watch it, you haven't invested/wasted any time into it...I may have to stick to this strategy, because at this point, it wouldn't surprise me if the Browns end up with that perfect 0-16 record...

In other NFL news, the Patriots got their shit together and beat the Bills Sunday 52-28 with two backs gaining 100 yards each on the ground, and Tom Brady, looking like Tom Brady...

The 49ers shutout the Jets 34-0 as Sanchez looked like crap again...And yes, the cries and chants for the savior, Tebow have started...

The Arizona Cardinals are undefeated...That just doesn't sound right...But I mean they did play the Dolphins Sunday...The Cards should be worried that it took OT to beat the 'Phins...

And in what had to be a heart-breaker for B-Dub, the Falcons squeaked out a 30-28 comeback win against the Panthers...Sorry pal, I know that one hurt...

And, am I the only one shocked to see the Vikings are 3-1, while the Lions are 1-3, after their conference match up Sunday, which the Vikings won 20-13...Before the season started I expected those records to be flipped...I gotta figure the Packers and Bears are starting to take notice of the Vikings now...

That's it for now people...Have a week...

The Beeze Reviews Johnny's Bar

That folks, is what I had for dinner Saturday Night! That is the Long Bone Veal Chop, Pounded, Breaded & Baked...Topped with Tomato Coulis, Arugula and Balsamic Vinaigrette...And it was amazing...

The wife had decided to take me out for a nice dinner for my birthday...Read my PREVIOUS_POST for the Birthday recap...She told me to pick, so I decided on JOHNNY'S_BAR...It's kinda stupid to call the place a bar...Bars don't usually put out this type of food...I've always just called it Johnny's on Fulton...One of the few gems you'll find on Fulton road in Cleveland...

To start, I went simple, getting the Mozzarella Marinara...Don't be fulled...This isn't some bullshit Mozz sticks like TGI Fridays...this is quality Mozzarella, with Cleveland's best Marinara sauce...The Mrs. is real picky when it comes to red sauce...Johnny's is so good, we bought to jars to go!

She started with the Bacon wrapped scallops...How can you go wrong there...Well, she actually was a little disappointed...The scallops were small, and each was totally encased in bacon...She felt the bacon over-powered the flavor of the scallops...

Then we had house salads...Fine...Salads, nothing special...I was drinking Great Lakes Brewing Company's Oktoberfest...(yes, that's how they spell it)...She was drinking a Riesling...I don't know shit about wine, except to keep pouring it down her throat!

Then she had one of the specials...A 14ounce strip steak, thinly sliced, served medium-rare, topped with sweet onions, and mushrooms, in a demi glace...With aged cheddar and pancetta mashers...The steak was so moist, and tender...It melted in your moth...She thought they could ease up on the sauce, but she loved it...

As I said, I had the Long Bone Veal...Talk a about flavorful...Sorry folks, but baby cow tastes great...And it was so tender, I was cutting it with my fork...The tomatoes, arugula, and balsamic worked so well with the veal and the breading...It's a can't miss dish, only made better being served over top of Johnny's house specialty, au gratin potatoes...

For desert, The Mrs. has the Raspberry Cheesecake...Holy huge slice! I had the Bananas Foster...Rum, Bananas, and Ice Cream...Hard to screw up, and they didn't...We finished the evening there with coffee...Nice, bold, brew...

Now, this all sounds great, and it was...But it was an expensive evening...Drinks, all four course, coffee, two jars of sauce, and tip got us for over two hundred bucks...Considering how little we go out, and how good it was...I'm okay with the price...

Then we headed home...My goal, get the kids to bed...Watch Notre Dame beat the hell out of Purdue, and squeeze in some halftime sex! Birthday weekend rules!

Later, The Beeze.

Did You Know? Cleveland Edition

This post is inspired by a smarmy comment made on some one else's blog, about a moment in Cleveland history...The piece was written on the infamous 10 cent beer night at the Old Municipal Stadium...10 cent Back was back on June 4, 1974, and things got Out_of_hand...

So then some Uppity Chicago boy says, "That's sooooooooooooo Cleveland." And I'm willing to bet, that he knows just a couple things about Cleveland, and that's what he's basing his comment on...If you've been here before, you know I'm not the great Cleveland defender, but damn it, at least I live here and Know what I'm talking about, and willing to give the good with the bad...

So here we go...Did you know, on average, Cleveland is Windier than the mighty "Windy City" of Chicago? True!

Did you know that it has been a big misconception that The Edmund Fitzgerald Sunk in Lake Erie? It actually sunk in Lake Superior...But that's okay...We made a beer for it!

Did You know there was professional Baseball in Cleveland before the Indians? In 1870 there was the Cleveland Forrest Citys...In 1879 the Cleveland Blues were a member of the National League...1889 came the Cleveland Spiders...A second form of the Blues became the Cleveland Naps, named for their star player and manager
Napoleon "Nap" Lajoie...The team became the Indians in 1915...

Did you know, Legendary Hockey Goaltenders Johnny Bower and Gerry Cheevers played in Cleveland? Bower played for the Cleveland Barons from 1946-1953, and again in the '57-'58 season...Cheevers played for the Cleveland Crusaders from 1972-1976, alongside Cleveland High School Hockey coaching legend Bob Whidden...

Did you know the mighty Cuyahoga River caught fire on June 22 1969? Of course you did...Everyone knows that one...But did you know, this was not the first time that the river had caught on fire? Fires had also occurred on the Cuyahoga River in 1868, 1883, 1887, 1912, 1922, 1936, 1941, 1948, and in 1952...The famous pictures they always show of that famous 1969 fire, are actually from the 1952...

The one in '69 was a great deal smaller...It's okay, we made a beer for it!

Did you know that after taking down notorious Chicago crime boss, Al Capone, Eliot Ness came to Cleveland and became the City Safety Director...He was going to clean up the police department, and then move onto the real criminals...Sadly he career ended in Cleveland as he became known as the 13th victim...Ness was put in charge the gruesome "Kingsbury Run Murders"...Also known as "The Torso Murders" Checkout In_the_Wake_of_the_Butcher if you like true crime books...12 decapitated, dismembered bodies, only two victims identified, and no clue who did it...Ness never got past it, and after all those years at the Bureau of Prohibition, Ness became a raging alcoholic...He died in 1957 and his ashes were dumped in a pond, in Cleveland's Lake View Cemetery...

Poor bastard...We made a beer for him too!

Did you know that Chef Michael Symon isn't the only f**king Chef in Cleveland? Hell he isn't even the best...Checkout
Pete_Joyce...Rocco_Whalen...Marlin_Kaplan...For starters!

Did you know one of Cleveland's big Greek Festivals is going on this weekend, and I'll be there stuffing some lamb in my gob! Oh, and drinking some fine Cleveland Beers!?!

I could go on, but I think I'll save it, and do another one of these...

Monday Moaning

They say Every Picture tells a story...So this week I'm gonna use that as my theme...

What does that first picture say? A couple things...First, I needed another cup of coffee before I did this crap...You'll see why later...Second, I clearly have some geek in me, since I have a Boba Fett coffee cup...That's right, it's not all sex, sports, and ranting here...There is some geekiness too...Hell the Beeze family was playing Star Wars Monopoly tonight...

And before this goes any further...There will be no talk of Tiger Woods, or The Masters...I could give a shit...I'd rather be Watching the Paint Dry then watch golf...

(If you don't get that reference and the picture above, just move on)...

Sunday was a big day for a New York Rangers fan like myself...The Rangers took on the Philadelphia Flyers...The winner moved on into the last playoff spot...The loser, was just that...This game also had personal bragging rights on the line, as my father is a Flyers fan, and my Red White and Blue blood can't stand those bastards....

Once again Henrik Lunqvist did all he could for the Rangers...Stopping 46 of 47 shots on goal...But of course he's teammates played way to cautious with the lead, and went back to their old ways of not shooting the puck enough...It's sad when your looking for Jody Shelley and Brandon Prust to light the lamp instead of Marian Gaborik, and Olli Jokinen...

The game first went to OT...Then to a shootout...The Flyers up 2-1...Here comes, Overpaid, Overrated, if you trade for him, your team will go in the shitter, Olli Jokinen...And, NO GOAL!

Flyers win...Dad calls, busts my balls...Season over for the boys in blue...Go Bruins!

It was time to drown my sorrows... That's right...A six pack of Peroni and a Chicken Club Pizza from Dina's.... Don't worry, I finished it all...Extra 20 minutes added to the workout tomorrow...

I had Saturday off from The Fish House...So what did I do? Took the kids to the grocery store and prepared a dinner for the wife and a few of her friends...They were trying to have a special night without spending too much cash, so I offered to feed them...This also meant getting the kids to behave and leave their mother alone for the evening...The kids were great...Now I have to take them out, so they can pick a reward for themselves...Yes, I bribe them...

Here's what we made for the ladies...

Strawberry Gazpacho with sauteed shrimp...Those are pita chips on the side...The Mrs. likes to eat it like salsa...

Balsamic Roasted Pear over a Spinach and Goat Cheese Salad with a Honey Balsamic Vinaigrette...

My wife's favorite...Filet Mignon with mashed potatoes, green beans, and a red wine reduction...

After that, the ladies went out for more drinks...I was left to put the kids bed, which wasn't hard since it was well past their bedtime...Oh, and the Little Beeze had been up since 4:30 AM...Evil Bastard!

Then I got online and searched out new and exciting things to squeeze off a couple rounds to...

It's gonna be hard to follow that up...But I'd like to end with a good old fashioned punch in the face...

I've never been one to believe in Karma...But after I saw this video, I thought...There has to be something...Fate...Destiny...A little, what goes around, comes around...Something...Maybe even Karma...Because after seeing Matt 'Cheap Shot, Dirty, Scumbag, Douche' Cooke get knocked out by Evander Kane, something about the world just felt right...

Have a good week...

The Beeze Reviews The Bistro on Lincoln Park...Again

Yes, Mrs. Beeze, myself, and our friends May and Bryan stopped by the bistro last Friday for dinner...This was the second time for the Mrs. and I...The first time was great, and I hoped for the same this trip...Especially the end of the night...

Well, I'm gonna go a little Tarantino on ya, and skip to the end...Sadly, there was no road head...Bryan was driving the four of us...The girls who had split two bottles of wine were in the back...May, was ready for a nap...And well, I wasn't going down on Bryan...

Then we got home, paid the baby sitter, and rounded up Bryan and May's little girl...Then found out, our daughter was still awake...Sex was off the table now...If you missed it at the Beezewax a couple weeks ago, we woke up our daughter with one of our sessions...And by woke up, I mean scared the sh!t out of her...So the wife put me on lock-down...

So let's move onto the food...I started with the Autumn Bisque..."Puree of Butternut Squash, Sauteed Wild Mushrooms & Creme Fraiche" It was awesome! The Mrs. started with the Crab Cake...Without a doubt the best crab cake I have ever had...A friend compared ours at the Fish House to it, simply by saying The bistro's made ours look like dog food...He was right...This was the meatiest crab cake ever...Not a bunch of filler...Great!
May and Bryan ordered the Froie Gras...May had asked our server what it was like...She replied with, "It's deliciousness in your mouth." When may took her first bite, she said, "This is the best thing that's ever been in my mouth!" Sorry Bryan...She passed it around and it was amazing!

The next course Bryan and I both had the Bistro Salad..."Butter Lettuce, Indian Black Onion Seed Vinaigrette, Sunflower Seeds, 24 Hour Tomatoes, Watermelon Radish, Candy Onions." I loved it...I love butter lettuce, and the Vinaigrette was great...Very light and refreshing...May had Mushroom Bisque, which she passed around to all of us...Best Mshroom soup, I've had...And I make a pretty damn good one myself...

At this point I should tell you about May's order...It wa sthe evening before Halloween...They had a special "Treat" menu...3 Courses for $35...They also had a "Trick" menu...This was left up to Chef Pete Joyce...You got what he gave you...
Entree time...The wife and I both got a 16 ounce, French-cut, bone-in, ribeye (or cowboy steak)...served with house made Frites, that was on special...The steak was cooked perfectly...The frites are awesome...If you're at the Bistro and they don't have this on special, check out the Steak and Frites...It's a Hanger Steak with the frites, and it' so tender and delicious...Like a....Never mind...

Bryan got the Great Lakes Walleye..."Pan Roasted, Fingerling Potatoes, Smoked Bacon-Apple Hash & Sherry Beurre Blanc." He polished this off quickly, and was left wanting more...He felt the portion could have been bigger, but enjoyed it very much...
That brings us back to May...Her entree was Turkey, Brussel Sprouts and I forget the rest...It was at this point m wife felt bad...You see, May doesn't like turkey...But this turkey was different...It seemed like it was done the way you would do a nice piece of veal, for a Piccata or Marsala...It was topped with an apple cream sauce...And honestly, you could put the sauce on anything...It was great...She did it some, and enjoyed the flavors...
For dessert I had the Bistro Chocolate Cake..."handcrafted chocolate cake, whipped buttercream, fresh berries & warm chocolate ganache." WOW! A really good meal ends when most people are full...Not me...For me it ends when I hate myself...This dessert took me to that point...

The wife had the Pumpkin Cheesecake...Loved it...Bryan had the home made vanilla ice cream...And May had the Country Pear Tart..."Bosc pears, almond frangipane & honey almond ice cream."

The food was great again...The Atmosphere was great...Warm and inviting...The staff went out of their way to make sure we were happy...

In Cleveland, We're always hearing and reading about Michael Symon...Not to be a d!ck, but he ain't the only game in town...If you're looking to spend an evening out, enjoying good food, drinks, and company...Stop by the Bistro on Lincoln Park... http://www.bistroonlincolnpark.com/

The Beeze Reviews The Melting Pot (take 2)

So last night, Mrs. Beeze, myself, and our friends Bryan and May went back to The Melting Pot...My review last time was sparkling...Yes we had a good time, and some good stories came out of it, which gave my review some extra life...But it wasn't the best...Management saw it and responded...First in the comment section...Then we communicated through e-mail...They made it clear that they wanted us to give them a second chance...

It had been he first time my wife and I had been there...Bryan and May had been there before and loved it...But after last time we were all let down...The main problem was the service...In the last review, our server Mike, took a beating...The food was good, but we had waited so long for everything, that we were A) Drunk...And B) just not into it...I also felt that the prices were too high...They still are, but I think that's true of most places...That combined with the economy right now, people are looking for more bang for their buck...

I would say that this time around, we got more bang for our buck...Our server was "Thunder Dan...

No, not "Thunder" Dan Majerle...Dan greeted us quickly, and took our drink order...While the ladies were choosing a bottle of wine he informed Bryan he'd be getting him another Great Lakes Grass Roots Ale, which he had started on at the bar...I ordered a Great Lakes Dortmunder...Dan jumped in and said, "You know we have Heineken tonight." I was shocked and said, "Really?" He replied by saying "We brought in a six-pack tonight." I informed him that I would take it...This made it clear to us that they knew who we were...I was the a$$hole who wrote the last review...I had commented how, they didn't have Heineken, and followed it with a WTF!??! Even funnier was Bryan now reciting lines from the last review...

Dan was very attentive and seemed to walk into some strange conversations...Like May talking about how romantic Bryan is when talking about sex...He likes to call it pu$$y pounding...Really, who doesn't? Dan got our vibe and was able to do his job and while adding his own two cents to whatever the conversation was...He understood we were there to have fun, eat, drink, and not afraid to spend money...He also gets the vibe of the restaurant...It's suppose to be a fun place...The servers are suppose to be interactive with the guests...I'm not sucking up in any way...If you've read me before, you know I'd be taking shots at Dan if he deserved it...But honestly, I felt like I knew the guy...That's a pretty cool feeling to get from a server...

Food wise, I think we all enjoyed it more this time...Partly because Dan was cool...Partly because we weren't waiting all night for it...And partly because we weren't all sh!t faced...

As they did last time we were there...The featured salad was the Caprese Salad...This made me laugh too, because it was one of the things I raved about from our first trip...3 of us had that...My wife had the Caesar...Cheese wise, we had the Cheddar, and the Swiss...Both were delicious...

Bryan and May had the Surf and Turf dinner for two...Split...She had the surf, he had the turf...My wife had the shrimp and steak...I had the French Quarter...Cajun seasoned steak, chicken, shrimp, and some Andouille sausage...It was great...I honestly enjoyed the food more this time...It was cooked the same...By us...I do love cajun, so that may have helped...But we all enjoyed it more this time...So I have to figure the biggest reason was the quality of service we got...

A little while later the manager came over and talked with us...He was great too...He also got our vibe, and wanted to make sure we were happy...He also informed us of a dinner they'll be having with Great Lakes Brewing Company later this month...A 4 course dinner with each course paired up with a Great Lakes Beer...We're in Eric!

We finished the night with some chocolate fondue, and bananas foster...It was at this point when I dubbed Dan as "cock strong" while he lit the table on fire...This was a nice bit of showmanship, that helps make The Melting Pot fun...

The Melting Pot hooked us up this time and made it a much better experience...We'll go back again, and we'll ask for "Thunder" Dan!

Later, The Beeze.

How's That Chicken Taste Now?

I first heard about this on Opie and Anthony this morning...So of course I went looking for it...Why?

Because I hate people who bitch about me eating veal, and the horrible way animals are treated...As they're shoveling a load of chicken in their fat face..

-
This isn't me making a political statement...I'm not going Vegan...F**k that! I love meat, including veal...I love chicken...I'll continue to eat that tasty goodness...I've got no problem being on top of the food chain...I've got the knife and the grill...I win!
-
If you don't like how veal tastes...Fine...Maybe you should have me make it for you...I'll make some Veal Osso Bucco that'll have you creamin' you jeans...But don't give me that animal cruelty argument...

Monday Moaning

They say America runs on Dunkin'...Well I sure do! Here I sit on a Sunday night, wondering what to write and knockin' back some Dunkin' Donuts coffee, and grubbin' on some Cup Noodles...

It hasn't been that exciting of a weekend...I would say the big news in sports...Tiger Woods is human...He went into Sunday with a lead...And he blew it! All I can think of is Deniro in Copland....(2 minutes in)

Your winner...Y. E. Yang...Who? Y. E. Yang....Don't ask me, I don't know who the f**k he is! But he played great...

Last week I got to beat the crap out of Josh Hamilton...Just when you thought you saw the highest level of douche baggery...Rick Pitino takes that sh!t to next level...Very nice! Let me sum it up for you if you don't know what happened...

He hooks up with some trap in a restaurant...When I say hooks up...I mean f**ked...Then they go out again...Hook up again...Then, "I'm pregnant!" Let's go to my assistant's place...There they decide that Patino would give her $3000.00 dollars for an abortion...Then she hooks up with his assistant, then marries him...His assistant who now, I believe is a trainer or equipment guy for Patino at Louisville...Then she wants 10 million dollars...So Patino says f**k that...So now she's crying rape...Really? he raped you...And then you went out with him again...Then he raped you again...Then you marry one of his friends...I'm calling BULLSH!T on this chick...And I'm calling Patino a f**king douche bag for the whole mess...Can't wait for his wife to take half his sh!t...And good example for your five kids Dick Patino!

Moving onto a Cleveland Indians update...The Tribe is without a doubt... The best Triple-A team in the land...Boston has to love that Martinez trade...The Indians got pitching prospect Justin Masterson...Friday night he started...3.1 innings pitched...5 BB...6 earned runs...Very Nice!

So, I've gotten more proof that the little Beeze is becoming more like me...All week he's been pretty obsessed with my wife's breasts...The highlight being him saying, in front of my mother-in-law, and brother-in-law...."I want those boobies...Give me those boobies!" That's my Boy!

The highlight of the weekend would have to be Saturday night...The Mrs. and went out to dinner with our friends May and Bryan...We went to the Fish House's sister restaurant...It's a steak house...And a very good one at that...From the moment we walked in we were treated like VIPs...It helps when you've known the GM, Chef, and the server for many years...The ladies enjoyed their wine...I enjoyed my Dortmunder...Bryan enjoyed his cocktails...I forget what he was drinking....Does it matter, as long as he was drinking right!?!

The food was awesome...Apps were great...Salads were great...Entrees were great...I had the bone-in strip steak, Au Poivre style....(from the food lovers companion..."[oh PWAHV-rh] Steak that is covered with coarsely ground pepper before being sauteed or broiled. Steak au poivre is usually finished either by topping it with a chunk of sweet butter or by making a simple sauce from the pan drippings. Elaborate presentations often call for flaming (see flambé) the steak with brandy. Also called pepper steak.")

Then we had dessert...That too was great...Then we got the bill...It was half of what it should have been...And it should have been a lot...It pays to know people!

After that we went across the street to a bar...We had one drink there...But the gals weren't enjoying the Blues band that was playing...BTW, at this point I had given up on the Browns pre-season game...Bryan was loving it...He's from Wisconsin...So seeing the Packers make the browns look like tools, was very enjoyable for him...17-0 Packers! Brownies picking up where they left off...

Then we went to this bar called Aces...We had to pay a cover charge...There was a sh!tty band playing...Seriously sh!tty...They were a wannabe punk band, playing '80s hits, trying to sound like Green Day...Oh, and they did a Green Day tune also...They sucked at that one too...But there's nothing like a sh!tty punk band, playing Duran Duran's "Hungry Like a Wolf."

After a little time there...Once May's eye's started closing, we headed out...We dropped them off at home...Then we headed home...Dinner and everything else was great, but here COMES the highlight...Mrs. Beeze did the old drop and gobble...You know it's good night when you get road head...

Sunday, I had to get up early and go to the Fish House for power douching of the kitchen...That'll ruin a buzz quickly....Then I came home to the little guy being an a$$hole...He was a serious pain...Now all is well...They're all sleeping...When I'm done with this I'll check out some porn...

That's it for now...Have a good week...Go get some Dunkin'!

The Beeze Reviews The Melting Pot

About a week ago, Mrs. Beeze and a couple co-workers made plans for a group of us to go to dinner at The Melting Pot...A fondue place... http://www.meltingpot.com/
It was 6 of us...To protect the not so innocent I'll slightly change their names...Except our server...MIKE...But we'll get to him in a bit...

The sitter showed up and the Mrs. and I went to meet the others...We planned on meeting in the bar first for a couple drinks...When we got there one of the other couples were already into their second drink...Bryan and May...(if you know who I'm talking about, I wasn't very creative with the name change)...These two crazy kids seem to like to drink, so I knew with my personality we'd have fun...May was drinking a Dirty Martini..."But not too dirty, just a little naughty." Bryan was drinking Great Lakes Brewing Company's Grassroots Ale...

What was I drinking? Nothing...At least not for 8 minutes...That's how long it took for the bartender to acknowledge my wife and my existence...When he finally did, she had a Stoli Orange with a splash of tonic...I first asked for a Heineken...He said they didn't have that...WTF!?! kinda place doesn't have Heineken...I could understand if I ordered a PBR...Instead I got a Great Lakes Dortmunder Gold Lager...A few minutes later the hostess took us to our table...

A few minutes later the other couple showed...We'll call them Todd and Laura...About 5 minutes later our server Mike greeted us...(5 minutes is too long...At least where I come from)...Mike with white boy, almost afro, partially in a pony tail...He was quickly dubbed Crazy Hair Mike, by yours truly...Mike asks "who's been here before?"...Only Bryan and May have...So he says he's going to go over things with us...Which we think is good, because the menu can throw you off...He proceeds to go on and on about drinks, and drink specials...Todd orders a Coke, and Laura just wants water...Don't worry Mike we'll make up for it...Bryan and I will have another couple beers...The Mrs. sees Caymus on the menu and she's thinking about a glass...May thinks that sounds good...Before Mike can go into his bottle selling bit...I say, "What the hell bring a bottle!"

Note to servers...This is a sign to treat this table well...Work it...These people are here to spend money...Don't f**k up!

So now we are waiting for our drinks, and trying to figure out what to order...What cheeses...What entrees...What salads...Our drinks take at least 5 minutes...Then Mike finally comes back...We order...Each couple got an entree for two...Ours had a $56 dollar tag on it...It had duck breast, chicken breast, teriyaki steak, pork tenderloin, chicken and veggie pot stickers...You also have to pick you broths to cook you food in...We got the Coq au vin and the Mojo...Each a extra 5 dollars...The wife got a Cesar salad ($5) and I got the Caprese Salad ($5)...

The cheeses for the table were cheddar, and the Wisconsin trio...You better like blue cheese if you get the Wisconsin Trio...But we wouldn't find this out for 30 minutes...You see your cheese is suppose to come out with bread, and veggies, and apples for an appetizer...We continued to drink...Well us drinkers...And waited...and waited...Bryan need to use the rest room...As he went to the front desk for directions...The hostess was taking a call...The call was from May...Asking to have Mike bring us our cheese...After repeating this a couple times the hostess hung up...As she walked Bryan past our table to point him in the right direction...I'm sure she heard boozy May laughing and repeating what happened on the phone...The hostess came back and checked on us...and in about 2 minutes Mike arrived to mix our cheese...

Note to servers...If you work in a place where you are at tables preparing items...It's a good idea to seem friendly and engage in conversation with the table...I mean you are working for tips right?

We also learned from Bryan's recon mission to the Men's Room...There were only 5 tables in the whole place...So what the hell was taking so long...After our cheese and stuff...We waited, and waited, and waited, for our salads...It had gotten to the point where we didn't even want them anymore...When Mike finally brought them out Bryan said...'Oh we don't really want those anymore.' But Mike must have thought we we joking, based on the booze and phone calls...

It was also at this point that a table of jail bait sat right near us, and Mike was giving them plenty of attention...Smart move douche bag...The table ordering diet Coke and apps is gonna get quality service...While the table ordering bottles of wine, $6 beers, and over $200 dollars in food is getting slow sh!tty service...Way to go dummy!

The salads were good...To be honest, my Caprese salad was outstanding...Then we waited a little longer to get our entrees...This is where this company is getting over on people big time...You get your plate full of raw nuggets that you will cook yourself in $5 broths...The Melting Pot doesn't have to pay chefs...Or really anyone with any cooking skill...Just some prep cooks who chop up raw meat, poultry, and sea food...

Was the food good? Yes...Was it great? No...Did we have fun? Yes...We got out of the house, away from the kids for a few hours...Drank plenty...Made fun of our server...Found out the name of May's Vibrator...(She is a funny drunk) And then when we got home I overpaid the sitter, and Mrs. Beeze and I had some sloppy drunk sex!

That said...The bill for The Beezes after tip was $150...For that kinda money, we could have had a really nice meal, with great service, and I would have had to cook my own food...But if you do try The Melting Pot...Get the Caprese salad...The only thing better was the Dortmunder!

Later, The Beeze.

Monday Moaning

Well another weekend has come to an end, and it's back to the grind...But before we get back to the grind...Have a cup of coffee and check out the moaning...

There has to be plenty of moaning going on in Pittsburgh after this past week...First the Pirates traded one of their best players for 3 prospects...Sounds like something the Indians would do...Oh wait...Your GM learned his trade here in Cleveland, under Mark Shapiro....Well, don't worry...You get use to it...Based on what I know about the Pirates GM, Neil Huntington...He was always a good talent evaluator...So hopefully the prospects do well...So he can trade them in a few years for more prospects!

Then on Saturday night the Pittsburgh Penguins got the living sh!t beat out of them by the Detroit Red Wings...The Wings now lead the series 3-2...Honestly I'm not even sure why the Pens came out for the 3rd period...This series has been tight and exciting...But Saturday Pittsburgh looked...Well they looked like the freshmen playing the varsity...I hope they get back on track...I want to see 7 games!

Saturday, before the hockey game, we had some excitement...That's right...The Belmont Stakes...It was a great race...check it out here... http://thebeezewax.blogspot.com/2009/06/this-battle-was-for-birds.html

So this weekend at the Beeze house was consumed by couple things...First...Movies...The Beeze family is a movie family...Friday night we had a sitter...Mrs. Beeze and I went to see Angels and Demons...I liked the book, just as I liked The DaVinci Code...I don't want to hear any of your religious/political views...I know some people have trouble with make-believe...They are books and movies...Get past it!

It was good...I mean really...How often do Ron Howard and Tom Hanks f**k something up? The ending was slightly different from the book, but that's Hollywood...

After that we went to Borders Books...Then hit a Fridays (you're welcome...free plug)...We had a few drinks, and a couple apps...Went home...Paid the sitter...And bumped uglies...Yes, the cleaning was a little more gentle after last weekend...

Late Saturday Night I made myself watch Righteous Kill...You know, De Niro...Pacino...A bunch of hype...Well the script wasn't that good...The twists weren't surprising, and I miss the time when these two guys were really great actors...Especially Pacino...He's been playing the same character for years now...

I'm also tired of movies with old f**ks like these two, and they're banging hot, much younger chicks...De Niro...Your tired ass couldn't handle this chick anymore...

Then Sunday night the Mrs. and I watched Tropic Thunder...That's right I didn't watch the basketball game...Why the hell would I? The movie was funny...But I heard alot of people raving about this..It was okay...I thought there were parts that dragged...And to be honest I was hoping Jack Black would die...I can't stand him...And while I'm hating on people...I'm starting to get tired of Ben Stiller too...Robert Downey Jr. cracked me up...And Tom Cruise was great...Seriously...Dude needs to do more comedic asshole roles!

Since I'm on the topic of movies...I saw a picture this week and I thought...'that would be a great movie!' ...Check it out here....http://thebeezewax.spruz.com/?cmd=blog&nid=343535&ptitle=Super-Fox

The other thing consuming the Beeze family...Well mainly me...They just got to enjoy the fruits of my labor...GRILLING! It's that time of year when I'm looking for any excuse to fire up the grill...Sunday we feasted...BBQ beef tenderloin...Corn on the cob...grilled zucchini...roasted potatoes...But TCP didn't make the trip north with his magic mushrooms...Maybe next time!

I'm so into cooking out...I made a little quiz about it...Right here....http://thebeezestalesfromthefishhouse.blogspot.com/2009/06/beezes-cookout-quiz.html

I started a Twitter account this past week...I didn't want to...But the guys at You Gab Sports started one and I thought well, just check it out...I have to be honest...I don't really like it...I'm a Facebook guy...But it has a certain creepiness about it...It's kinda like legalized stalking...I mean you're only seeing what these people want you to see...But still...We really have become a voyeuristic society....And yes...You can bet your sweet ass I'm following Isla Fisher...

Worst thing about my twitter updates...I believe people call them tweets....(That sound so lame)...Half of them are about my masturbation habits...The other half are just pimping blogs...

Since I'm talking about pimping blogs...There is a very talented Canadian Musician, whom I'm a big fan of by the name of Billy the Kid...Check out her blog...http://billythekid-thelostcause.blogspot.com/

The last thing I'm gonna ramble on about is this....My friends just had their first child...A beautiful baby girl...She was born 4 weeks early and due to some medical term I don't know how to explain...Her organs are all jumbled up...Monday she has to have a major surgery to fix this...Her Heart is strong...And her lungs have been doing well, so they feel confident she will be okay...But none the less...I'm asking for anyone out there to say a prayer, if you do that...Or have a good thought for this little girl...Hell, have a good thought for all the sick kids out there....

Thanks...

Have a good week...

The Beeze Reviews Alto Cucina

This past weekend The Beeze Family went to Erie PA. Mrs. Beeze's parents are there and many of her friends...We went in for her birthday...saturday night the kids stayed with the grandparents, and the Mrs. and I went out to dinner....I found a nice place...Well at least from what one of her friends said, and by what the menu looked like....Feel free to take a look yourself...http://www.altocucina.com/contactus.html

I have to be honest...I didn't think Erie would have a place like this...It's a town littered with chain restaurants and bars...and bars...and more bars....Which isn't a bad thing...Nobody loves a good dive bar more than the Beeze!

So we walk in and right off the bat I'm surprised....The atmosphere is great...Great decor...You feel like you're walking into a very nice home...They may because at one time it was a home...Also There was music playing...Not crappy restaurant music...Live music...A pretty cool band called The Heliotropes...

I'm not sure if they would descibe themselves this way...But...I would say they were kind of a Folk, Jazz fusion...They did a number of contemporary tunes, but with their own spin...Very enjoyable...

But now on to the important sh!t....The food!

I started with the Fontinella Cacchione...Baked Fontinella cheese in puff pastry topped with mushroom ragu....Yes, it was $13 and they may seem too much for some cheese, puff pastry, and mushrooms...But it was well worth it...I would say it was the highlight for me...Well food wise...We'll get to the other highlight later...

Mrs. Beeze started with the Spider Bellinis...Crab cake stuffed soft shell crab, polenta crusted and sautéed...Served with a spicy garlic aioli....Also very good...

We both had house salads...They were simple but good...Not too filling...Romaine lettuce...2 cuke slices...2 tomato slices...8 garbonzo beans...2 olives...And a light red wine vinagrette....

For our entrees...I had the Pollo Ferrito...Lightly breaded and sautéed chicken breast topped with sweet peppers, mushrooms, marinara sauce and a blend of Italian cheeses...Served over cremini mushroom ravioli...This was very good...It's basically a hot rodded Chicken parm...The mushroom ravioli was the best part...I only wish the would serve it with a couple more...It came with 4...Not enough! Especially when it is truely the best part of the dish...

Mrs. Beeze had the Scampi Ferrando....Sautéed jumbo tiger shrimp in garlic lemon butter cream sauce...Served over shrimp & ricotta cheese ravioli...She loved it...It looked good...And the little that she let me try was great...

For dessert the Mrs. had the Key Lime Cheesecake...It was was very light and had great flavor...I had the Strawberry Shortcake...Again, very light with great flavors...That is something you don't get enough when you order dessert...Most the time desserts are heavy, and make you feel like shit afterwards...These were so light and airy...Just excellent!

So along with all this great food...The Mrs. had 5 glasses of wine...Now it was her birthday...and all week I was telling her I was gonna remind her that she isn't old yet...I kept telling her that after dinner we were gonna find a nice dark place, and get it on like a couple of high school kids...She kept saying..."whatever!"

Well as we walked out of the restaurant and I was asking "where should we do it?" we noticed it was pitch black in the parking lot that was surrounded by a very wooded area...So she says..."We may as well do it here!" So there we are...Mrs. Beeze all buzzed up...just taking like in the front seat of a Honda...

It's good to relive your youth....Car sex is awesome...Keeps you on your toes...or knees...Or knees behind your ears...So get out there and get to humping in your car!
If your ever in Erie PA...Check out Alto Cucina...And then get your f*ck on!

Later, The Beeze.

Today....

Today sucked...Woke up 6:30 AM...Got dressed...Shoveled out the driveway, and cleaned off the cars....Schools were closed....Had to track down a sitter....Got the wife off to work....Got the kids ready....had to clean off my cars again....Dropped the kids off...It took 30 minutes longer then it should have....Everyone knew this storm was coming, but there wasn't a plow in site....Streets were f**ked up....Got to work...Set up for service....

Got to leave early because there was no business...Cleaned off the car....Picked up the kids....Drive home was better until my street...It still hadn't seen a plow....Neighbor was stuck in the street trying to get in his driveway...Got out of the car and helped push him in....Then I got stuck trying to get in my driveway...Got the kids in the house...Got the car dug out and in the driveway...

Got inside and changed...Got the kids a snack...Checked e-mail...Went to You Gab Sports for a little while....Started washing the dishes....Heard the plow come down...Son of a b!tch....Had to go shovel the apron of the driveway so the wife could get in....Made dinner...Pork chops, mashed potatoes, and corn....Played with the kids....Gave them a bath....got them to bed....

Then my wife told me our daughter has a crush on one of the Jonas Brothers...Crush!!! She's 7...No f**king crushes yet...Then I tried to calm down...I said, "Well I've got a crush on Taylor Swift...In a Year!"

My wife was not amused...."You're a pig...she's a little young!"
That's why I said in a year...Then I hit her with a line from the movie Beautiful Girls...."If she can cut her own food, she's fair game." (it's a great movie...check it out)

That was followed by a..."You're an ass...Go play on your computer." Which also means I'm not getting any tonight...But don't worry the Beeze always HANDLES his business....

Seriously though...Taylor Swift is good looking...If I had the chance, when she's legal...I'd knock the baby powder off that ass....I know I'm a pig...Deal with it...

That's it for now.

TFtFH: C*ck Blocked by a Tw*t

I had another title for this, but this one was a little softer.

This week Tales From the Fish House looks at me getting shot down, and the wonderful world of lesbians....So lets get to it....

Long before there was a Mrs. Beeze, I was a horny f**ker, trying to get as much as humanly possible...This was 12-13 years ago...It's kinda blurry....A new server had started at the Fish House...She was a good looking blond with nice big creamers....We'll call her Karrie...We use to call her tits for brains....So like all new good looking servers I started spittin' some game at her...

Finally one night after work about five of us, Karrie included went out boozin' after work...I was doing well, but then my toughest competition moved in....Tanya...We referred to Tanya as "the Man"....She got more a$$ then all of us guys combined...Yes Tanya is a lesbian, and a very good one at that....we're both leaving it all out on the field...This was a last man standing match now....Eventually Tanya starts acting drunker then she is..."Karrie do you think you could give me a ride home?"

Are you sh!tting me? Karrie tells the rest of us she'll be right back....Well I closed that joint, and she never came back...But I knew that was gonna happen...Tanya is Ohio's number one muff diver...Her moto..."No Muff to Tuff"...For a chick, she was c*ck strong....That night was the beginning of a 3 year relationship between Karrie & Tanya...Unfortunately it ended ugly...Karrie began seeing her ex-boyfriend on the side, and got knocked up....Tanya flipped....She sought revenge by getting every young, hot, hostess, bartender, and server to give it a try...just once...She had some repeat business...

One time I was fortunate enough to hear Tanya and this one knock-out going at it...I had plenty of beat material in my head....I didn't even make it home...I handled myself on the drive home.

Karrie is still around the Fish House...We're good friends...She lives with her baby's father, but they're not together....It's f**ked up.

How about a recipe?

This week we have Grandma McBeeze's Potato Soup...

1 green pepper...diced

1 large onion...diced

6 stalks of celery...diced

1 carrot...dice

1T garlic

6 strips of bacon...chopped

12 potatoes...chopped, cubed, whatever.

1 t basil

1 t oregano

1 t thyme

S & P...to taste

1 c vegetable broth

2 pints of Guinness

3 qrts heavy cream

Saute Bacon until crisp....Add green pepper, onion, celery, carrot, garlic....Saute for a couple minutes, and add basil, oregano, and tyme, S & P, and Guinness...let it reduce by half...add veggie broth, and potatoes....Let it simmer for 5-8 minutes...Add heavy cream, and let simmer until potatoes are soft...Check seasoning.

Enjoy.

Later, the Beeze.
