Best College Football Uniforms (2021)

Last week ESPN put out their list of "best college football uniforms" and it wasn't that surprising. They are the "world wide leader"...Leader of lazy sports coverage. You could see their top 5 coming a mile away and it didn't really matter the order.

1. Notre Dame

2. Michigan

3. Penn State

4. USC

5. Oregon

Now, as some of you may know, I'm a huge Notre Dame fan and don't have an argument with that. But other than Oregon this list is fresh out of the 1980's. It's the old guard that so many in the media want to be relevant again. USC is crap and hasn't been much since Pete Carroll left them in a NCAA sanctions mess.

Penn State is still loved by ESPN for all that bonus content they gave them from Sandusky being a pedophile and good ole Joe Paterno and the PSU administration trying to hide as much as they could.

Then there's Michigan. That program is just garbage. Once an always competitive, powerhouse program, now many teams look at that game on their schedule and don't sweat it.

And of course, Notre Dame. They keep themselves relevant by having a huge fanbase, and remaining not 100% locked into a conference. They can run with the teams in the ACC, Big Ten, PAC 12 and the dying Big 12, but they are outmatched if they run into a damn SEC team.

ESPN's list felt like holding onto the good ole days, and narrow sighted...Like they don't actually pay attention to the vast majority of college football. So screw them! Here's my list.

1. Notre Dame Fighting Irish:

Ok, so maybe I sound like an asshole after all that and then going with ND, but I told you I was a huge Irish fan and their classic uniforms are still the shit!

And when they once a season break out a GREEN jersey, that shit is awesome!

I will always love the all gold, nothing on it helmet, but I have to say, this Shamrock version below was awesome to see and I'd love to see them use regularly.

2. Kansas State Wildcats:

The Wildcats have become one of my favorite programs to watch. They have a great fanbase, student-body and traditions installed in their program. They're gritty team that doesn't have the recruiting power of the the Big 12's "elite" programs, Oklahoma and Texas.

Purple, Silver and White, with a great logo. The Silver has that Dallas Cowboys thing where the Purple bleeds into it and makes it an off-silver.

KSU has also mixed in White helmets and pants that that make it a tight and clean look.

3. Ohio University Bobcats:

No, not Ohio State! There's no way I'm doing this list and not getting some MACtion in here!

The Bobcats rock a traditional style uniform  with only two colors, Green and White, with a crisp White helmet with simply OHIO written on it's sides and two green stripes with white in between.

The Bobcats occasionally mix in a green helmet in the same style.

Like many other Programs they have produced a couple different versions of a "Blackout" uniform. Black jersey, pants and helmet. The helmet holds onto the the same style but the green pops from the black as it is a metallic green.

ESPN's list went with old school big name programs. Clearly I have no problem an old school look/style, but mine look good. Fuck Penn State's boring ass shit and USC's ugly yellow (not gold) and whatever color red that is? What is it called, O.J. Simpson Bloodstain?

4. Georgia Bulldogs:

Look at that. Red, White, Black, light gray pants on the Black Jersey uniform. Strong, powerful, bold colors and the iconic oval "G" helmet logo. What's the lingo these days. Dope? Fire? Tight? This shit is tight! or whatever the fuck the kids are saying these days.

Yeah, that's a spiked dog collar design on the Black jersey!

5. Washington Huskies:

The Huskies at home rock Purple Jerseys with white numbers trimmed in Gold. The sleeves have 2 lighter shade of purple stripes. Gold pants. Gold Helmet with a Purple "W" on both sides, Purple facemask, and a Purple-White-Purple tri-stripe down the middle of the helmet.

On the road the helmet is the same, the jersey is White with Purple numbers, the standard purple stripe flanked by two lighter shade purple stripes on the sleeves. I have also seen all white uniforms with the Helmets colors reversed.

The Huskies also have a "Blackout" uniform, embracing the Huskies name.

Honorable Mention:

Washington State Cougars:

The Cougars have a great logo. Crappy team most of the time, but a loyal fanbase that loves to represent that great logo. The only problem with the uniforms, is they have so many options, they can screw themselves up mixing and matching.

Maybe they should spend more time on the football and less time on what to wear!

Another team that gets an Honorable mention, was actually on ESPN's list.

The Oregon Ducks:

The Ducks are famous for the Nike uniforms that are different every week. They say that is being scaled back and these are what we should expect this year, but it's Oregon. At some point we will see black, we will see a chromed out helmet, some gray somewhere, a darker shade of green. They can't stop themselves. I hope I'm right, because this crop or Oregon uniforms is pretty boring for them.

Feel free to let me know what your favorites are.

Fuck Michigan, Penn State and USC!

Look at This Asshole

WOW!  That's right, UMass football coach, Walt Bell, said the cancellation of the MAC College Football season was tougher than the day his father died, and tougher than the day when his mother Over-Dosed...mother fucking WOW!

Dude must really have hated his parents...Or Walt Bell must really love losing!

Maybe he really loves football that much...But how could you love football more than your parents, especially when you coach at shitty UMass...Bell must love losing...He only has 1 career win!

Fucking loser!

College Football: COVID's Next Victim

So we saw the MAC cancel their season this past weekend...Then Monday the Mountain West cancelled theirs...Then the rumors started swirling about the Big-10 canceling with the PAC-12 following their lead...The PAC-12 which has been publicly AT WAR with their commissioner...We talked about what a dick he is in this week's MONDAY MOANING...

Sunday and Monday Twitter was filled with numerous college football players tweeting about how they want to play...There was also plenty of tweets from college football media, analysts, talking heads, and that idiot Trump, saying how College Football needs to be played...With today's announcement that The Big-10 (which has 14 teams) and PAC-12 are canceling, it looks less likely...The SEC, ACC and Big-12 (which only has 10 teams...Jesus Christ these places of higher learning can't fucking count!) now have college football fans on the edge of their seats...Because college football fans are fanatical fucking people...And we know the SEC, those crazy southern schools are the wild card...It won't surprise me if they play...It won't surprise me if they are the only ones to try and play...

But what people need to realize as they say players are "safer on campus," and the games "need" to be played, no matter what the conference heads say, the main reasons for these cancellations are, ‪fear of lawsuits if players get sick, loss of game day revenue, and unwillingness to compensate players with heath insurance and money.‬...Insurance and monetary compensation were big points brought up by the PAC-12 players...and without that that makes it easier to open the door for lawsuits...We have to remember this is about COVID...COVID which we have seen, if you have paid any attention to reality and facts, leaves many who recover with permanent damage...lungs, heart, liver, kidneys in many cases have all shown permanent damage, along with many patients having to deal with blood clot issues...

While people are bitching and moaning about the conferences canceling or that they dragged their feet preparing for a season with COVID, people really need to look at the NCAA...They are the governing body and they pulled the trigger in March to cancel the NCAA March Madness Basketball Tournament...But as Football approached, they decided all the decisions should be made by the individual conferences and there were no NCAA mandated rules or guidelines...It was all on the schools and conferences...The NCAA doesn't seem to mind when handing down penalties for recruiting violations or players selling their jerseys or some one buying them a plane ticket to go home or a coach giving them dinner...But when it comes to a global pandemic, and the health and safety of their largest money maker...The so-called "Student Athletes"...With 6 months to prepare, they make no plan and put all the blame on conferences...

To which I say, Fuck the NCAA...

If you want to see some good raging against the NCAA follow @SportsbyBrooks on Twitter.

Monday Moaning 8-10-2020

Kate and I are back with another edition of Monday Moaning...I'm going to try to avoid talking about Lying, Asshole Trump and Idiot Republicans, but if you want to read about those topics, you can find them on the sidebar...I'm going to try to stick in the sports lane  for MM this week...

-Over a month the Cleveland Indians announced they were looking into changing the team name...That got lots of people excited about the possible name change and lots pissed off...A couple weeks later we heard ownership say they were going to do this and that but we've still heard nothing as they seem to continue to  DRAG THEIR FEET...

One Cleveland business that has been very vocal about the Indians keeping their name and the Chief Wahoo logo for a number of years now, is CV Art + Apparel...Talented artist and cool local business...We have some of their stuff...Yesterday they released a new Indians themed shirt...

Lots of cool details of Jacobs (Progressive) Field and baseball imagery, Cleveland landmarks, and Native American imagery, forming a skull...I will admit that it looks cool...But it doesn't really help their argument that the name isn't offensive...A fan  who has been supporting the name be changed to the Siders...actually changed his twitter name to #ClevelandSpiders tweeted a couple images back at GV saying "same energy...& not in a good way 💀"  #ChangeTheName

....

This one highlighting the "Indian"...Native American imagery

And this one just creep as fuck with nude women forming a skull...

GV Art + Apparel quickly blocked #ClevelandSpiders....I'm sure the same will happen to me after I tweet this blog out...I'm sorry Cleveland, it's time all of us Indians fans move on...Although as I said in my previous blog on this topic, I truly believe that Indians ownership are dragging their feet and will try to wait this out until the majority of people forget about it, and won't end up rebranding the team...

-Now college football...There has been a big push to get a half assed college football season in...This week the MAC (Mid-American Conference) cancelled their Fall sports season but are holding out hope to have some kind of Spring football season...Healthy and Safety were the biggest reasons, followed closely by the fact that the Power 5 Conferences are only playing shortened season just within their individual conferences...The MAC and other smaller conferences get paid well to take non-conference games with power 5 schools...They get paid to take an ass beating...Losing that revenue stream hurts them, including hurting them in being able to assure their student athletes health...

Last week players in the PAC-12 UNITED, asking for a number of conditions to get them to play...First in foremost were demands about their health and safety...The players want more testing than what is planned...They are asking for NCAA mandated testing and tracing rules similar to what the NFL is planning...The NCAA is leaving that up to each conference and many conferences are leaving it up to individual schools and only putting out recommended guidelines...Schools are making most students stay home and attend online, but they want the money making athletes to show up...The athletes not seeing any of the fortune the NCAA, Conferences, Universities and multiple media outlets like ESPN and Fox Sports see...

Players had a conference call with PAC-12 Commissioner, Larry Scott who told them their what they were doing was a "misguided PR stunt"...Players said after the meeting with Scott, “It was not very productive. We did not come away with many answers. He made it very clear that he does not want to meet again.”

A few other Conferences followed the PAC-12 players in saying they may opt out unless the there were certain guarantees made for the health and safety...One was the BIG-10 but right away Ohio State players pulled back and wanted nothing to do with it...A number of Penn State players were tweeting out a statement that seemed to be clearly written by some University official, saying how they feel safe and want to play...Which lead to me tweeting this back to each of them....

Yeah, my hatred for Penn State, Child Rapists and those who cover it up will never die!

I think trying to play a college football season is crazy...Cases of COVID are still rising, you have huge rosters plus coaching and training staffs...There are going to be some serious outbreaks, especially since their is no NCAA mandated testing, and tracing policy...

I get that players want to play...I also get that some of them probably were threatened by coaches or School Officials, because we all know College Football is all about MONEY...They don't care about the "student athletes" as students and they don't care about them as human beings...They only see them as a very profitable investment...

That's it for now...I'm sure I need to write a post about Trump's latest lies and misinformation...

PAC-12 Athletes Unite

A group of PAC-12 "student athletes" have gotten together and via "The Players Tribune" have released their demands to the PAC-12 conference...Stating they will not participate in Fall camps and the Fall sports season if they do not get what they want...

The list is 4 key things...

1. Health & Safety Protections

2. Protect All Sports Preserve All Existing Sports by Eliminating Excessive Expenditures

3. End Racial Injustice in College Sports and Society

4. Economic Freedom and Equity

In this day and age you can't blame anyone for wanting guaranteed "health and safety protections"...."Eliminating Excessive Expenditures"...I get the impression that some of that is talking about PAC-12 commissioner Larry Scott who has a $5.3 million dollar contract...It's already being reduced next year to $4.6 because of COVID pay-cuts the conference has put in...But I believe the players would also like to see coaching contracts reduced...Especially since the players are the product people pay to see and they make nothing!

Number 3 they addressed very quickly in their statement saying, "Because NCAA sports exploit college athletes physically, economically and academically, and also disproportionately harm Black college athletes, #WeAreUnited.

In rejecting the NCAA’s claim that #BlackLivesMatter while also systematically exploiting Black athletes nationwide, #WeAreUnited.
Number 4 is the big gun....
Guaranteed Medical Expense Coverage
  1. Medical insurance selected by players for sports-related medical conditions, including COVID- 19 illness, to cover six years after college athletics eligibility ends.
Name, Image, and Likeness Rights & Representation
  1. The freedom to secure representation, receive basic necessities from any third party, and earn money for use of our name, image, and likeness rights.
Fair Market Pay, Rights, & Freedoms
  1. Distribute 50% of each sport’s total conference revenue evenly among athletes in their respective sports.
  2. Six-year athletic scholarships to foster undergraduate and graduate degree completion.
  3. Elimination of all policies and practices restricting or deterring our freedom of speech, our ability to fully participate in charitable work, and our freedom to participate in campus activities outside of mandatory athletics participation.
  4. Ability of players of all sports to transfer one time without punishment, and additionally in cases of abuse or serious negligence.
  5. Ability to complete eligibility after participating in a pro draft if player goes undrafted and foregoes professional participation within seven days of the draft.
  6. Due process rights

I can't blame these athletes for asking for all of this...I doubt the conference will the 50% revenue sharing...I love the 6 year scholarship idea...That's self aware "student athletes" who know 98% of of them won't go to the pros...The amount of money the schools and conferences make thanks to these athletes, there is no damn reason why they shouldn't be providing medical insurance for them...

These athletes are making a hell of a point...the majority of PAC-12 schools have already told their students they will be doing the Fall semester online...Much of the conference's schools are in COVID hot spots...'So students don't come back to campus, except you students that make us millions, you can risk your lives!'

This theory the NCAA has had for ages that these are "amateur athletes" and "student athletes" so they shouldn't be paid or receive benefits, while the NCAA, Conferences and Schools make millions on their backs can be thrown out the window now...When you're telling students not to comeback to campus because of COVID but you expect your football players to be there, you've just acknowledged they are your money maker...They aren't merely "Student Athletes"...

Personally I think all these conferences are crazy to try and have football seasons...and by doing it they are making it clear that first and foremost the care about making money, above all else....

Monday Moaning

I have to be honest with you, each week, it becomes harder and harder for me to not become a Buffalo Bills fan...If for no other reason then their fans, known as the #BillsMafia....They lived up to their reputation again this Sunday...

Warning: NSFW!

That's some quality Tailgating!

The Bills also managed to beat the Texans, so there was winning all around in Buffalo...

-Now, I'm moving right along to my crusade to promote the fighting in the NHL, because douchebags like Mathew Barnaby and Mike Milbury annoy me so much for talking about getting rid of fighting in Hockey...Milbury who climbed in the stands and hit fan with a shoe, and Barnaby who never would have been in the NHL if he didn't scrap....Assholes!

I felt there were three really solid fights this past week...

1. McLeod and Glass...

2. Chipchura and Smith...

3. Latta and Trouba...

Bonus:  The big, crushing left, from the little guy, Jordan Tootoo...

- Now I will get to the final topic for this edition of Monday Moaning...The Bowl selection happened...And the Fiesta Bowl selected Notre Dame and Ohio State...The line has opened with Ohio State being a 5 point favorite...

I'll take it...The Irish plus 5...Ohio State has covered the spread just twice this season, on a really weak schedule...And I'm not even going to rag on the schedule, because anymore, it's a crap shoot, and the schedules are made a few years out...The Irish had softies too...But at least neither Charleston Southern on their schedule, right Alabama!?!  (twats!)

I saw some friends on Facebook already talking trash, like this is a damn cakewalk for Ohio State...Jesus fucking Christ, they struggled with Northern Illinois, Indiana, and Minnesota...Even in the games where they blew teams out they sucked balls for a quarter or two...Ohio State didn't play a complete until Michigan...

Yes, Notre Dame had a couple clunkers...Their defense saved them against BC, when the offense took that night off...Then the defense shit the bed against Stanford...

I expect this to be a good game...I expect a few sloppy moments, because shit, both of these teams had plenty of those this season, that's why they aren't in the playoffs...And yes, Buckeye Nation, I saw you pissing and moaning on Twitter Saturday night and early Sunday morning, how the playoffs should be eight teams and not four....Funny how you didn't feel that way last year...Knuckle up!

Anyways....I have to take a trip into Ohio soon, and make some bets with my friends there on this one...I'm looking forward to New Year's Day now!

That's if for now...More to come...

Have a week...

"Everything is Bigger in Texas..."

Does that include the assholes?

Okay, to be fair, I'm northern boy, and it seems easy to talk shit about Texas at times...Been then again, I was born in raised in Cleveland, Ohio...A place that has been shit on religiously since before I was born...So I feel I'm allowed to fire my own wise-cracks at people around the world, including assholes in Texas...

And while I'm about to single out the Texas Longhorns Football team, both schools in this game are in Texas...

So Baylor's 4th string QB throws an interception...His teammates don't get the guy...He does, right at the sideline...Now it looks like he Texas player's one foot was hitting the sideline right as Hawthorne, (the QB) got there...But watch the video, there is no whistle...Hawthorne continues to battle the Texas defender and is starting to throw him to the ground as the whistle blows...(blown before he is down...That whole progress was stopped crap)...

The QB played it right...He played it hard, and he played through the whistle...And what happened...the Texas bench, a 5-7 team, acted like a bunch of cunts...Shoving him, 18 is no actor, he intentionally fell on top of Hawthorne...They started a bunch of shit, for no good goddamn reason...

People keep talking about Charlie Strong changing the culture at Texas, including myself...Doesn't look like it's working....They're record sucks, and they're acting like punk-ass cunts...

With this one play, I lost all hope for the culture changing at Texas, and for whatever the hell Strong is doing!

Notre Dame's Season Comes to an End

With that kick, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish season ended....Yes, they'll go and play in a bowl game...And a good one at that...But the season they wanted...The season us fans wanted...It's over...Two losses, no playoffs...

Now, I have to give them credit for putting together a helluva season considering the number of key injuries they suffered...That said, the Irish spent all pre-season tooting their horn about what great depth they had coming into this season...So, no excuses allowed when it comes to the injuries...

There was something else the Irish and the media were hyping in the pre-season, and much of the season...The Notre Dame defense, and their defensive coordinator, Brian Vangorder...Holy fuck I got annoyed at watching this guy during games, and on Showtime's "A Season with Notre Dame"...The announcers on TV were constantly hyping this ass-hat up...I'm sorry, watching the Stanford game, ND didn't deserve to win...Not the way the defense was giving up yards and points...Let alone the fact that ND took the lead with 30 seconds left in the game, and still managed to lose....That was ridiculous!

All season long, even when the Irish defense was dominating a game, they would still give up a couple embarrassing TD's...The Boston College game is the only game that I would give the defense credit....That game the offense sucked balls, and the D kept them in it...

Again, ND had some injuries that would cripple teams...But the told us they had depth, and they proved it...What they didn't have was the cock-strong defense they said they had...This is the 4th season in Brian Kelly's 6 seasons at Notre Dame, that the media and ND have hyped the defense...Do us a favor...Don't hype the defense next year...That way, if they end up being good, we'll all be happily surprised...And if they suck, or play they way they have been, then we won't be letdown...

Good season...I was impressed with the young QB, Kizer...Will Fuller is a beast, but drops too many passes...Chris Brown is good, but drops too many passes...CJ Prosise is a RB not a WR, that was proven clearly...Good season...But not good enough....

Monday Moaning

Well, Saturday the Ohio State Buckeyes looked like asses...It wasn't just that they lost to Michigan State...Which by the way, Ronda feels for ya...

To me, the biggest thing is all year, they have wasted their best player, Zeke Elliott...You know, the guy that carried them through the end of last season, and the playoffs...And Saturday, after getting only two carries in the second half, he made his thoughts and feelings known...

"How we lost, I just feel like we weren't put in the right opportunity to win this game, we weren't put in the right situations to win this game. I don't think Michigan State was better than us. They weren't. We didn't execute."

Elliott continued....

"Honestly, this is my last game in the Shoe. I mean, there's no chance of me coming back next year."
"What happened today, it was kind of like a bad, bad dream. Offense had a rough day, and I'm disappointed. I'm disappointed in the play calling, I'm disappointed in the situations we were put in, and I wish it all played out differently."
Elliott wasn't done yet...
"It's very disappointing, the one drive that we had where we kind of had some momentum when we scored after the strip sack, the plays we ran, we ran a lot of gap schemes and we were gashing them. You guys saw that on that drive, and we had a lot of momentum. Honestly, we didn't see those plays at all for the rest of the game. Those plays weren't called anymore. I asked for those plays to be called, and they weren't. It just hurts. It hurts a lot."
Shit is real tense in Columbus...Sure, it wouldn't be as tense if they managed to win, but considering how the Buckeyes haven't been blowing the doors off people they should have all year, it's clear that there has been trouble in Paradise...In my opinion, it never helps when you do that idiotic QB juggling crap...When you say, "we have two starting QB's," what you're really saying is, you don't have a starting QB...
I'd say I feel bad for ya...But we all know that would be bullshit, right?
Thanks to Ohio State, my Fighting Irish's position was helped...Which they needed since they couldn't hold onto the football all night in Fenway park...Dropped passes out the ass...Fumble after fumble...A couple INT's...The Irish defense is the only reason they got out alive...I first wrote that they didn't deserve the win...But the D did...The offense needs to run 100 laps cradling a football....

- How about Hockey...The New York Islanders moved to Brooklyn, and many thought it would be a great move...But so far, the ticket sales haven't gone as well as hoped...Plus, the arena isn't ideal for hockey viewing...The Nightly Show did a funny bit to try and help the Islanders reach real people from Brooklyn...

And while I'm here promoting hockey...I'm going to promote fighting...Why? Because 1. I like it...but more importantly 2. Because Matthew Barnaby is a fucking asshole...I'm listening to this guy on his Sirius XM, NHL Radio show, and he is yapping about how fighting needs to go away in hockey...And he sees it being gone relatively soon...Just to be clear folks, for those of you who may not know this...If it wasn't for fighting, Matthew Barnaby would have never had an NHL career...The guy was a garbage player, who talked shit, checked, threw elbows, and fought...Fucking cock-smoker...Oh, he has also hit women in his past too...Piece of shit!

So, I picked out two fights from this weekend that I enjoyed...I hope you do as well...

Oleksiak, just throwing fucking hammers!

Pretty good go by both guys...

That's it for now...Go watch a hockey fight and tell Matthew Barnaby to eat a dick!

North Dakota has a New Nickname

No, that isn't the official new logo, but considering the new nickname is the "Fighting Hawks," that would be a great logo to piss off all those that killed the Fighting Sioux nickname...

Here are the former Fighting Sioux logos...

Like I said, that Indian warrior looking hawk would be sweet!  And yes, I said Indian, because being politically correct is for all those college cunts out there, not me!

After two years the best they could come up with is "Fighting Hawks"...I'm sorry, but that shit is lame...But if they get a cool logo maybe it will work well if they try to incorporate some Native American style into it, to match somewhat with the Sioux logos still present...(yes I said Native American...Not for the cunts...It just read better)...

The Fighting Sioux logos throughout The Ralph Engelstad Arena, where the Division I hockey teams play, will remain as part of an agreement with the NCAA....Part of that being because Engelstad was so against the name changing, that when he had the arena built, he had Sioux logo all over that fucking place...In stone, in tile, in marble, large portions of floors and walls...Everywhere...He was all about sticking it to the PC police...That's why the change didn't happen until years after he died...

And while I don't love this nickname...I like it more then the other 4 finalists for the new nickname...

Nodaks, North Stars, Roughriders, and Sundogs......

Nodaks...No Thanks!   Let's go with Fighting Hawks!

Boston College...A Joke in Their Own City

Yes, that is a football field in historic Fenway Park...And it sure looks like a home field for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish...

The Irish will be playing long time rival, Boston College at Fenway Park...This year the game was thrown under the "Shamrock Series" label, which is something the Irish have done for the last five years...It's supposedly a big thing for alumni around the country, but I think it has more to do with recruiting....They play at a neutral site, and wear a completely different uniform from the traditional ND style...

This year, it isn't a neutral site...It's in Boston...But for some reason, the field sure looks like a ND home field...And the Irish special uniforms...They have been dubbed "the Green Monster uniforms"....

"Green Monster" uniforms...The Notre Dame Fighting Irish written in the end-zones...Hey Boston College, did you also say, 'Hey Notre Dame, could you please fuck all of our girlfriends and sisters while you're making yourself at home!?!'

I get it...It's good for fans...It's good for Alumni...It's good for recruiting...It's good for the city of Boston, especially hotels and bars...People will actually pay attention to Boston College football for a few minutes...It's great...But it sure makes BC look like bitches!

JT Barrett Gets Off Easy

Ohio State QB, JT Barrett plead guilty to Operating a Vehicle under the Influence...The 20 year old Barrett was arrested on October 31st near the Ohio State campus, at a police checkpoint...Reports say his B.A.C. was a 0.099, substantially over the .02 limit for those under 21...

Barrett made a plea deal, plead guilty to the OVI charge, and a backing without safety charge was dismissed...Barrett will serve no time, have his license suspended for 180 days, and with fines and court costs, he will pay approximately $500...

While in court Barrett expressed his remorse to the judge saying, "I just wanted to apologize to my family for this embarrassment and also to the Ohio State football program and also Buckeye Nation.  I never wanted to hurt Ohio State for what it's done for me as a player and also as a person and I'm truly sorry for that."

I'm glad he's apologetic...Way to fucking go...Everyone is apologetic when they get caught...Hopefully he learned from this...But he got off easy...Way too much we here about "class" differences in this country, and how certain "classes" are treated differently....Well folks, here is a prime example...If JT Barrett was a start football player at Ohio State...If he wasn't the better of the two QB's, he wouldn't have gotten a slap on the wrist...

Ask "Average Joe" what he would have gotten...Especially considering the fact of being under the legal drinking age...A non-Ohio State football star would have lost their license for 2 years...1 minimum..."Average Joe" would have $2000-$3000 in fines...And "Average Joe" would need a good attorney to keep his ass out of jail, and get him off with 100 hours of community service, and 10 MADD meetings...

So there's the life lesson kids...Learn to throw a football...Run fast...Or be a big-time actor...Then you'll be in the class that can screw up often, and get at least 5 "second chances!"

The Beeze's College Football Pick'em (week 10)

Last week I didn't post a Pick'em...There were only 2-3 games I liked, and didn't even like them that much...One of the things I learned about gambling from my father was, don't bet just to bet...If you aren't feeling it...Don't do it...So I didn't...But this week, I'm feeling it...So here we go...

- Texas Tech at West Virginia...

This series is tied at two games each, so we don't have much history to work with...What we do have is this is a Big 12 game...Almost all of the Big 12 lacks defense...And we know Tech loves to chuck it, and try to score points...West Virginia is a 8 point favorite...Take the Red Raiders plus the 8 points...

- Duke at North Carolina...

UNC has won 22 of the last 25...But I am still surprised to see Duke as a 7.5 point underdog...Coming off getting royally screwed by the refs in that Miami game, I like Duke...Think about this...If Duke wins out, and then wins the conference championship, the playoff committee kind of has to ignore that Miami loss, since the ACC admitted Duke should have won...Duke is angry...Duke is on a mission...Take Duke plus the 7.5 points...

- Notre Dame at Pittsburgh...

Since 1988 the Irish lead this series 15-5...ND knows they need to win out, and will need help to get into the playoff conversation...And Pittsburgh, isn't that good...Take the Irish minus the 8.5 points...

- Florida State at Clemson...

Florida State has lost 5 of their last 6 at Clemson...This game is huge for both teams...But Clemson needs it...The only way the will get the respect they deserve from the playoff committee is if they are undefeated...The Tigers are a 10.5 point favorite...Normally, against a solid FSU team, I would go with the Seminoles getting that many points...But I'm looking for Clemson to make a statement...A bigger statement then what they made against Notre Dame...I'm taking the risk...I'm taking Clemson minus the 10.5....

-  Arizona State at Washington State...

Washington State is a 3 point favorite...WSU being a favorite is odd...This is strictly giving the home team the bump...ASU is 10-1 in the last 11 meetings...I see the SUn Devils making that 11-1...Take ASU plus the 3 points...

- LSU at Alabama...

Alabama have won the last 4 in this series...But this Alabama team isn't as good as those teams...I think they are overrated...LSU running back Leonard Fournette is out to prove something, and is looking at this game to be the key to his Heisman run...I don't even have to think about this...I'm taking the Tigers plus the 6.5 points...

- Bonus pick...

-Navy at Memphis....

Navy is a 7.5 point underdog...With the way they play, I would like to take those points...But this is Memphis...How powered offense, and a team not getting the respect they deserve...Take Memphis minus the 7.5 points...

Good luck....Beat the bookie!

Twisted Sex Scandal at Notre Dame

A messy story came out via the New York Daily news...Some twisted shit at Notre Dame...An academic coach was fired for forcing students to have sex with her daughter...WTF!?!

"THE UNNAMED ACADEMIC COACH VIOLATED THE UNIVERSITY’S “VALUES” AND ITS 'DISCRIMINATION HARASSMENT POLICY,”'THE SIX-PAGE REPORT CONCLUDED. THE REPORT NOTES AN ACCUSATION MADE BY AN AFRICAN-AMERICAN STUDENT WHO SAID THEY WERE PRESSED INTO HAVING SEX WITH THE COACH’S DAUGHTER, WHO IS WHITE. IT ALSO REFERENCES A PLAYER ON THE FAMED FOOTBALL TEAM WHO APPARENTLY ALSO WORKED WITH THE ACADEMIC COACH AND DATED HER DAUGHTER."
....
"ON FRIDAY, ONE OF THE STUDENTS SUED THE SCHOOL, ARGUING THE TUTOR ORCHESTRATED “SEXUALLY AND RACIALLY MOTIVATED” TRYSTS WITH HER DAUGHTER BY INCLUDING CONDOMS, TRANSPORTATION AND hotel rooms FOR ACADEMIC FAVORS."
....
“SHE WAS EXPLOITING AFRICAN-AMERICAN MALES,” SAID lawyer PETER J. AGOSTINO, WHO IS REPRESENTING THE UNNAMED STUDENT. “HE WAS INVITED TO THE FAMILY’S PRIVATE HOME TO FACILITATE THE RELATIONSHIP.”
....
The academic coach would later interrogate him about the "nature, frequency, and quality of the sexual activities" they had, the lawsuit claimsbadgering him with "racially-charged comments about his sexual prowess and genitalia," the suit alleges.
The student's attorneys have accused the university of fostering a "sexually abusive and hostile educational environment."
....
"The school maintained its innocence against the allegations, dismissing the lawsuit as "unfounded" and a mere publicity stunt, Notre Dame spokesman Paul Browne said."

......WTF!?!

Monday Moaning

I thought after Katie Nolan's second SPANKING of the Dallas Cowboys, that maybe the organization would take notice of how they and their players act...But no...They need a much greater spanking...

Sunday, against the the Seattle Seahawks, this happened...

At the 1:30 mark, Dez Bryant is seen walking across the 40 yard line, he has his helmet off, is pointing, and of course he is talking...Do you know what he said?

"That's what you fucking get!"

I think over the last year, I have made it completely clear, just how much I hate the NFL...And the last month we have seem nothing but idiot bullshit come from the Dallas Cowboys...Once known as "America's Team"....What they are is a microcosm of everything that is wrong in our society, so I guess they are "America's Team" in a way...America's shitty team....Our bad neighborhoods, our, punks, and drug dealers, and wife beaters, mixed with the billionaire CEO who cheats on his wife with gold-digging co-eds and strippers, and he is surrounded by his little red headed yes man, who does whatever big daddy says, even though he knows it's taking the business in the wrong direction...

I don't know how many times I have heard Dez Bryant "gets a bad rap" or that he is just a "passionate player"...Really? Honestly, you can say that? The fucking asshole hit his own mother! So if you defend him, fuck you! He's a flat out, and asshole...I knew that before Sunday, when he was talking shit, trying to start fights, and saying, "that's what you fucking get!"  while Ricardo Lockette laid motionless on the field...

When Bryant was asked after the game if he said, he said, "I got on one knee and prayed for that man. Don't put clips together and do that." Then asked, by a reporter, "Did the Seahawks accuse you of saying something?" Bryant said, "Nah man, ya'll did man, bullshit media did."

I didn't see him down on one knee praying...I saw him yell, talking shit, and finger pointing, in his typical fashion!

I have had many wishes in my life...And very few have come true, but a few important ones worked out...I have a new wish....fuck that...I'm better then Greg Hardy, Jerry Jones, and Dez Bryant...I'm not going to wish AIDS on that entire organization...I just wish that this time next week, I'm writing about Dez Bryant and Greg Hardy's career ending injuries...Fuck them...Fuck the Cowboys!

-Moving on to college football...It didn't even take the ACC 24 hours to throw their refs under the bus...Hell, the refs took longer doing the review then it did for the ACC to suspend the officials...Miami returned a kickoff to beat 30-27, but the return, which it should have been easy to see during the 9 minute review period, should not have counted...The ACC said one of the Miami players knee was down before one of the 8 laterals on the play...

The ACC suspended the on-field officiating crew, and the two replay booth officials...But they aren't overruling the call or overturning the game's outcome...

ACC Commissioner, John Swofford said in his press release, "The quality of our officiating program is of the highest importance to the league and its schools, and the last play of the game was not handled appropriately. Officiating is an extraordinarily difficult job but our players, coaches, programs and fans deserve the best that can be offered. We will continue to strive to meet that standard."

So the "players, coaches, programs and fans deserve the best that can be offered."  So how the hell can the ACCC say the officials shit the bed, they're suspended, bu we aren't going to give the game it's proper outcome?

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I fucking know, 'the human element is part of the game'....It's such a fucking part of the game, that the NCAA and NFL, and MLB, and NHL have all added instant replay and replay officials to correct all the nearly never ending, fuck-ups caused by "the human element"...So if fucking up and in this case, fucking up royally is part of the game, ( "the human element" )  then shouldn't righting a wrong be part of the game too...Duke got fucked in the ass...the ACC admitted it...Now they should pull the big cock out of Duke's ass and stick up Miami's ass...All John Swofford needed to add was, 'Duke wins, Miami loses, our guys fucked up royally...We're sorry it took them 9 minutes to get it wrong, when people at home figured it out in a minute and half.'  Or something like that!

-On the home front, we got swamped on Halloween...The new neighborhood gets down for trick or treat, and we ran out of candy at 7:20...Trick or treat hours were 6-8...And we dumped most of what Molly got, (the stuff she doesn't like) into our pass-out bowl...I even boosted some from the boy, and told him to go hit another street. He was fine with those marching orders...

That's it for now...

Have a week!
