Monday Moaning

How's everyone doing out there? I have to say, after having a very rare 4 straight days off, I'm really not feeling this getting back to the grind thing...I had too much fun with the kids...And too much fun  enjoying Notre Dame beating USC, to go undefeated...You can read all about that, and the other college football headlines HERE...

Friday I wrapped up Thanksgiving, and SHARED a few views...The one that seemed to get a bunch of attention on facebook was the fact that I'm not a fan of the Dallas Cowboys...That I'm tired of the amount of media coverage this overrated, underachieving team gets...And that the title "America's Team" bothers me...I don't know how they got this name, but it's crap...I have to admit this though..In my youth I was a Cowboys fan...I loved Tony Dorsett, and those guys back then...How could you not like Tom Landry?  As time went on, it was hard not to like Emmitt Smith and Troy Aikman...But it was easy to not like Michael Irving...He started the trend of asshole Cowboys players...Drugs, hookers, guns, stupid shit, and show-boating....All stuff owner Jerry Jones seemed okay with...Why wouldn't he?  He seems like a show-boatin' kind of guy himself...

I grew up, and I didn't want anything to do with what the Cowboys became...Give me Bill Bates any day over "Pac-Man" and "Prime-time"...

Besides the big win for Notre Dame at USC Saturday...The Fighting Irish had another big match up this weekend...The University of North Dakota went to South Bend for a two game hockey series...These are two top programs and it was sure to be a good couple of games...

Friday night North Dakota won 2-1...But Saturday the Irish came back and and won 5-2 lead by Anders Lee's 2 goals and 1 assist...

North Dakota has been dealing with a bit more than just Hockey...They've also been dealing with a bit of an identity crisis, after the NCAA got another thing wrong, in their long line of mistakes...The NCAA made them remove their Fighting Sioux, and then Sioux nickname and logo...They aren't allowed a new one until 2015...But they never should have had their name ripped from them...You can read more about it HERE...

They'll always be the Fighting Sioux to me...

Browns fans are happy because the Browns beat the Steelers...Listen, the Steelers were out there with their old, 3rd string QB, Charlie Batch...And then the Steelers just played horribly sloppy football...Turnover, after turnover, after turnover...They were shit...

So the Browns fans are feeling positive, and maybe there is something to build off of...So I ask this...Should the Browns fire coach Pat Shurmur after the season, like so many fans and talking heads have suggested...While I don't like the guy much, I tired of rebuilding every two-three years...Hey, look how Bill Belichick turned out...He never stayed from what he tried to do in Cleveland, and it paid off...Maybe SHurmur is till figuring it out, and Browns fans/ownership needs to be patient...Let me know what you think...

The Browns weren't the best part of my Sunday...Taking the kids ice skating was...I got little Beeze his first pair of skates, and we hit the rink...Kid was big-pimpin'...He was doing okay, but did some acting...He was laying it on with his struggling to figure it all out...SO what happens...He had two little girls helping him, holding his hand, and giving him pointers...Kid was smooth!

That's it for now...Have a week...

The Beeze's College Football Wrap Up

Here Come The Irish!

Here Come The Irish!

Here Come The Irish!

Yeah, the #1 Notre Dame Fighting Irish beat USC, and locked up their spot in the BCS, National Championship Game...So you people are going to have to deal with me being happy about ND going undefeated, and making Rick Reilly look like a bigger asshole then he normally does...

USC may not have been ranked, but this was rivalry week...This was their chance to play spoiler, and even though Notre Dame dominated the game, it wasn't locked up until just under two minutes left on the clock...Although most felt ND had it won when the defense stuffed USC 4 times from the one yard line...Again, the Irish Defense had a huge game, and Manti Te'o added his 7th INT of the season...

ND needed the defense to be big...While the Trojans are having a down year, (I blame their overrated coach, Lane Kiffin) they still have tons of talent, including two of College Football's best WR's...The Defense also needed to play big, because the Irish offense, moved the ball almost at will against USC, they struggled  to find the end zone, with the exception of Theo Riddick's 9 yard RD run...Riddick had a total of 146 yards on the ground, and 33 receiving...Everett Golson continued to show his growth at QB...While not putting up huge numbers, and being real flashy, he made no real  mistakes, and gave his team the best opportunity to win...

Kicker Kyle Brindza's 5 field goals, including a 52 yarder, kept the Irish ahead on the scoreboard, as they continued the dream season with a 22-13 win...I hate to agree with Lou Holtz, because he annoys the shit out of me, like most people on ESPN, but he may be right...This seems like a "team of destiny."

And now I say this...Bring me whatever SEC team you want...That's what it's going to take to shut up the Irish haters...Beat a SEC team in the big game...So lets do it!

-Like I said, this week was rivalry week...(#2)Alabama destroyed their sorry ass rival Auburn 49-0...

(#3)Georgia destroyed their rival Georgia Tech 42-10...(#4)Florida battled rival (#10)Florida State in what was actually a watchable, and entertaining game...The Gators won 37-26...(#12) South Carolina took on rival (#11) Clemson...Of all these SEC/ACC rivalries this was the one I thought the ACC would take...But after being down at the half, the Gamecocks came back, lead by backup QB Dylan Thompson, who passed for 310 yards and 3 TD's...Clemson QB Tajh Boyd had just been getting a touch Heisman talk, and Saturday night he fell on his face, and the Clemson Offense just couldn't get it together...

(#5)Oregon bounced back from their loss last week to (#8) Stanford, to beat Rival (#15)Oregon State in the "Civil War" 48-24...Friday, in battle for "The Apple Cup" Washington State looked like they were done, but came back scoring 21 unanswered points to beat (#25)Washington in OT 31-28...In Arizona, it seems every time the (#24) Wildcats get something going, they stumble...And it happened again this week, as the ASU Sun Devils beat their rival 41-34 in a high powered, offensive battle...

Also on Friday TCU looking to prove they belong in the Big-12, beat (#16)Texas 20-13...Staying in the Big-12, Saturday (#13) Oklahoma's QB Landry Jones passed for 500 yards and 3 TD's against (#21) Oklahoma State...You would think that might mean the Sooners blew them up...But that wasn't the case, as it took until OT for the Sooners to pull out the 51-48 win...

After moving to the SEC, it seems (#9)Texas A&M has to find a new rivalry game...But they do have something special...Freshman, Heisman hopeful, QB, Johnny Manziel...This kid has been on fire, and after Kansas State's loss last week, and not having a game this week...The door for Manziel to shine even more, swung wide open...Saturday against Missouri, Manziel went out and told Heisman voters, 'it might be time for freshman to take home the trophy' as he passed for 372 and 3 TD's...And rushed for 67 yards and 2 more TD's leading the Aggies to a 59-29 victory...

Then of course, there was the infamous Ohio State vs. (#19) Michigan game...The Buckeyes looking to go undefeated, and play for pride, since they aren't eligible to play for anything else...Let ms just say this...What a sloppy game...Michigan turned it over 4 times...Ohio State 2 times...Then there was the penalties...9 for 74 yards against the Buckeyes...Seriously, it's the last game of the year, you should be past that crap...It often seemed like OSU was shooting themselves in the foot...But when the other team turns it over 4 times, they're helping you as much as your penalties help them...Ohio State managed to pull out a 26-21 win ...Buckeye fans were all so excited for their "Perfect Season"...Perfect, except you get nothing! No Bowl...No Conference championship...No shot at the BCS...Just another buckeye sticker for your helmet...Enjoy that!

And Michigan, 8-4...How the mighty have fallen...Well Big Ten, at least you have Maryland and Rutgers coming to toughen up the conference!

That's it for now...

Not So Black Friday

Well, now that were finished with that...I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving holiday...Last night I did post a THANKSGIVING_MESSAGE...I hope some people took my suggestion to stay away from the Black Friday madness...It seems the whole point of Thanksgiving gets lost these days with our insane need to compete to get more stuff...

What? What?  Too soon?

So Turkey Day always brings us some bonus football...While many people like the Tradition of the Lions and Cowboys each having a game on this holiday, I don't...The Cowboys are always on National TV, and I'm sick of it...Whoever said they're "America's Team" is a dolt...If  they're "America's Team"  then why the hell do we have 31 other NFL teams...Let alone all the NCAA teams...I was so happy when the NFL added the third game...And this year, it was the Patriots at the Jets...

Boy to the jets love trying to get more media coverage...Too bad they get the coverage for all the wrong reasons...

Wow...Who knew the Jets could make people forget just how bad the Browns are...The Patriots crushed them 49-19 and it wasn't even that close...

As for the early games...The Lions and Texans had a good game that went late into OT, before the Texans won 34-31...And Texans fans should thank the refs and one of the dumbest rules I have ever heard of...'If you challenge a TD call before the booth reviews it, it can't be reviewed'....What the fuck kind of asshole loop-hole is this?

As for the Cowboys vs Redskins...While I really like RG3, I didn't watch it...Not just because I'm sick of the Cowboys...The kids, my brother, and I were out side playing a little ball ourselves...Not to sound corny, but I'll take that over the NFL any day...The weather was great, and they're talking snow Friday night, so we made the most of the day...

Now I've dumped on the Browns all year, and I've avoided watching many of their games...But this week I have to tune in, as they take on the Steelers...Not because of how I hate the Steelers...Not because I suddenly have high hopes that the Browns can win...It's because of THIS...The Browns want to combat the famous Pittsburgh Terrible Towel, by handing out white flags...WHITE FLAGS!?!?!?!  Are fucking shitting me...Is there an award for dumbest front office and PR department? If there is/was, these fuck-tards win hands down!

That's it for now...Thanksgiving done, but that just starts the big Holiday season of giving...

Later, The Beeze.

PS:  Fuck the haters...GO IRISH!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

It's that special time a of year again...Time to drop and gobble!

I hope you all have a great Turkey Day, and are able to enjoy time with friends and family...Enjoy some food...Enjoy some football...

And do yourself a favor...Don't ruin your Friday trying to get those very few Black Friday deals....You don't want to be one of those campers everyone makes fun of while watching the news Thursday night....Don't be one of those insane people that push, shove and trample others to try and get one of the four 60 inch TV's on sale...Do something better with your time...Play with your kids...Round up the guys for a football game...Watch a movie...Eat leftovers...Do some droppin' and gobblin'...Just don't be an asshole!

People have been doing this "Things I'm Thankful For" on Facebook lately...I haven't...But it's easy for me to put a finger on what I'm thankful for...

I'm thankful for my wonderful, smart, beautiful wife...My wicked smart, kind-hearted, 10 year old-going on 17 daughter...My crazy, funny, amazing artist son...And my sweet, adorable, sneaky smart, has me wrapped around her finger, almost two year old...They are the most important thing in the world...They are the greatest thing I have ever done, and will ever do...

I'm also thankful for my parents who taught me what unconditional love means, and helped me become who I am...And I am thankful for my friends and family who except me for what I am, no matter how fucked up I am...

Happy Thanksgiving!

The Beeze.

Missing Your Twinkies?

I have to say, I love horrible, unhealthy, tasty, treats as much as anyone...And I love Hostess snacks...But I'm sick of hearing people bitch about the Hostess company going under...

And I'm really sick of the idiotic people who have tried to blame it on the President and his Health Care plan...

And those who are bashing the Unions, saying it's their fault...You're stupid too...You won't always find me defending Unions...But I will when they are right...

Who's to blame for the fall of Hostess...Management...The fucking suits screwed up again, and they want to blame everyone but themselves...Maybe this will make it all clear for you...

Please, please, please, people....Please stop letting major corporations, and shitty news media lie to you...Wake the fuck up...The fucking suits are the ones screwing up again!

Monday Moaning

This week, we're starting with a new lady to top Monday Monaing...A special request from a female reader...Viewers/Readers, I give you Melissa Debling...

She loves that little lip biting thing there...I don't blame her...I like it tooo!

Now, one would expect me to be going all Notre Dame is #1 crazy...But I handled that YESTERDAY...I'm thrilled about it...But they still need to beat USC who would love to spoil the Irish party....But this is some other excellant  Notre Dame news...The Fighting Irish Hockey team went to Michigan this weekend, and swept the series against the Wolverines...It was the first time Notre Dame has swept a series at Yost Arena since 1978...The Irish won the first game 3-1...Then they took the second game 4-1...It doesn't matter what sport, it's always nice to beat Michigan!

And for the time being, it looks like the only Hockey talk you're going to get out of me is College Hockey...If the NHL labor dispute wasn't bad enough, now commissioner Gary Bettman has suggested that the two sides take a two week break in talks...If the bullshit between owners and players wasn't bad enough, now the commish his going to hold up the mess even longer...I swear to God these assholes are trying to kill the game...Well boys, you may just succeed....

So my weekend, besides following college football and hockey, I spent getting ready for Thanksgiving...Yes, I'll be spending my day away from the kitchen at work, in the kitchen at home...After the grocery store Saturday morning, the menu was set...Turkey, Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Colcannon, (an Irish masher with cabbage and scallions mixed in) Sweet Potatoes, Corn, and a Brussel Sprout-Corned Beef-Redskin Potato Hash...Apple Cobbler and Pumpkin Pie for dessert...

Sunday was time to clean...People are coming over, and these three kids make a mess...And I'm not any kind of neat freak either...Both the kids rooms got cleaned and organized...The big project was the basement room...Little Beeze has taken it over, and destroyed it....The amount of shit we found down there was unreal...We filled 5 garbage bags old toys...Broken toys...and other accumulated shit from over the years...If none of us were looking for it in the last 2 years, fuck it...Get rid of it...I also repainted a Monster shelving unit I built when we first moved in...This thing is made out of 2x8's...I wasn't screwing around...

Things were coming along well, when I went to throw in a load of laundry, and I was smelling gas...I got everyone out and started checking around...It only seemed to be leaking while the dryer was running...I called my uncle who works for the gas company...He stopped by...Found a valve where the leak was at...He tightened it up, and put my mind at ease that it wasn't anything that was going to make the house go "Vertical"...He's going  to be back in a day or so to replace some stuff...After that he had beer, and was having a blast with the kids...It was great seeing him play with the kids, and bust my oldest daughters chops about a boy she likes...It took me back to when I was kid, and he did the same thing with my brothers and me...He's that fun, goofy uncle, who one time decorated my family's Christmas tree with empty beer cans...We all laughed, while my mom just shook her head...I never thought I'd have a hint a grateful feeling after finding out I have a minor gas leak...

We did take few minutes to talk about the Browns...I had it on in the background...He said he planned on not wasting the time, but then he did anyways...The Browns were in Dallas and they lost 23-20 in overtime...ow As I look at this I wonder...Are the Browns getting better...Did they really push the Cowboys that hard...Or are the Cowboys this bad...The Browns sacked Romo 7 times...How much of that is on the Romo?  How much is on his O-line?  How much is on the Browns  D?  I just don't know...There are things I see from the Browns, mostly on defense...But I just don't know what to make of them...And everyone here in the Cleve expects Pat Shurmur to be fired after the season...While, I'm not totally opposed to that, I'm sick of this team constantly hitting the reset button...No matter what happens, I hope guys like Joe Hadden and TJ Ward stay here for awhile...I love how TJ hits...

Thanks WFNY...Some have already called this a helmet to helmet...No, that's a shoulder to facemask...There's a difference!

That's it for now...My laptop keeps freezing up, and screw it...I'm tired...Have a week...

The Beeze's College Football Wrap Up

Guess who's gonna be #1......

That's right Rick Reilly, you fucking asshole!  You stupid fucking cocksucker! What was that you said about Notre Dame being irrelevant?  You stupid fuck-stain...11-0...About to be ranked #1...And getting ready to take on a scuffling #18 USC team, lead by one of the most grossly overrated coaches ever....Lane Kiffin with a team full of talent...taking their 4th loss of the season Saturday, getting worked 38-28 by #17 UCLA...

And how did this happen for #3 Notre Dame...Well Saturday they did what they needed to do...They blasted Wake Forest in South Bend, on Senior Day, 38-0...And Brian Kelly seemed to like opening up the playbook a bit more against the Demon Deacons...

But then Saturday night the other pieces started falling into place...#1 Kansas State went to Baylor, and looked like they had their heads up their asses...Rare, and stupid penalties...Sloppy play...And Baylor's defense did something unusual...They showed up and played tough D...Collin Klein and company struggled all night and his 3 INT's and this loss, most likely killed his chance at the Heisman...And if you guys have paid attention to my college football posts this season, you know I've been all in with K-State and Klein...So while Baylor laid their 52-24 beating on the Wildcats, was great for my Irish, I was slightly bummed...

But wait...It got better...All night, up in #2 Oregon, #13 Stanford's defense was holding the Ducks offense in check...Late in the game, Oregon is up 14-7...But the Cardinal D kept the team in it...And the offense drove down field and tied the game at 14 with just over a minute and a half left...The game went to OT...Stanford held the Ducks to a field goal attempt...Missed!   After a few plays, Stanford kicker Jordan Williamson punched a 37 yard field goal through the uprights....Game over! Bye bye Ducks!

My only problem with the events of Saturday, is now this will allow the arrogant SEC fans to talk about their conference champ playing for the BCS title....#4 Alabama fans are already getting wood, thinking their team is going to roll over Notre Dame...It must be easy to talk tough after you blast Western Carolina 49-0...Nice scheduling! Yes they think their Tide is the cat's ass when blasting cupcakes, and they just try to blackout those struggles against good teams...

But 'Bama wasn't the only big bad SEC team to play cupcakes Saturday...#6 Florida played Jacksonville State...#5 Georgia played Georgia Southern....#9 South Carolina played Wofford...#8 Texas A&M played Sam Houston State...What the hell is that? Even worse, A&M gave up 28 points...Yes, they won 47-28...But 28 points to SHSU...At least #7 LSU stayed in conference, struggling to beat Ole Miss 41-35...Yeah SEC fans, please keep telling us all how tough your teams are!

-This week's shootout once again comes from the Big-12...#12 Oklahoma went to West Virginia...Hey how do they celebrate Halloween in West Virginia?  They Pump kin!

The Sooners put up 662 total yards, 554 of that through the air...WV put up 458 on the ground and and 320 through the air...In a back and forth battle the Sooners scored last, with 24 seconds left, to win 50-49...

-You know, I mentioned the top teams...But there is another undefeated team...Yes, after beating Wisconsin 21-14, the Ohio State Buckeyes are sitting around with a perfect record, and wondering why they decided to take their Bowl Ban this year, instead of last year...

-There was another big Saturday...Maybe not on a national scale...But it is known as "The Game." Yale at Harvard...Sure, Yale is a 2-8 team and Harvard is a 8-2 team...But this is Harvard vs. Yale...Just like all big rivalry games...None of the other stuff matters...Both teams are bringing everything they have and laying it all on the line...While it was only on the NBC Sports channel, I was glad to see some one showing it...These Ivy League kids deserve to get some pub. too!

Harvard was up 27-24 late, and looking to run out the clock, but when senior running back Trevor Scales broke free on a 3rd and 13 run, there was no stopping him from getting into the end zone 63 yards later, as the Crimson went on to win 34-24...Scales finished the day with 177 yards and that TD...Harvard QB Colton Chapple rushed for 128 yards and a TD himself, while also passing for 209 yards and 2 more TD's...

-Lets close this out with this week's Notre Dame highlights....

That's it, until tomorrow...

Monday Moaning

We begin this week, with Rosie Jones back in her rightful spot...At the top of Monday Moaning...I hope everyone took a moment to thank a Veteran yesterday...Or at the very least, be thankful for what those Veterans have given for us all...

I'm going to be honest and up front with you all...I had a few ideas about what I was going to write about in this post, and it wasn't going to be pretty...But I changed my mind...Cooler heads prevailed...I started thinking about the weekend I had with my kids, and how so much other stuff is just meaningless in comparison...That doesn't mean I'm going to quit ranting and raving....No way that is going to happen...I'm just in a different place right now, and why should I work myself up...

After some crap weather, Saturday rolled in with a nearly perfect day...MY wife and oldest daughter went on a girls shopping day with my mother...Screw that...Little Beeze, Molly and I went to one of our favorite parks...

Here's Molls checking out things on the Lake...We spent some time watching a few boats trying to tow a busted up boat out of the rocks, after the big storm...The temp was in the 60's and the sun was out...There was a Wedding in the park, followed by pictures...There was also a couple of big families having photos taken...The boy and I were trying to come up with a way to photo-bomb them all....Don't tell my wife, but I think he slipped in the one family photo...

After making a nice pasta dinner, it was time for me to get into full College Football mode...just before the BC vs. ND kickoff my brother-in-law in Boston started texting me with a bit of trash talk...I let him know I was so confident, that I was going to miss a bit, while the wife and I bumped uglies...The Irish won...I won...And the wife won twice...You get my College wrap up HERE...

The BCS standing finally have the right team #1...Kansas State...Oregon is 2...Notre Dame is 3...After their loss, Alabama only slipped to 4...I can't wait to see how this year's BCS mess will shake out...

Sunday was another beautiful day...The high hit 69 degrees...We got outside early, as Molly get to playing in her sand box on the porch, while I had coffee and checked out the news on my phone...

Okay, a little news...Some Instagram, and a new golf game on got on my phone...After some breakfast we took a walk and said hi to some dogs...After that, the boy and I got out for a bit of man time...Nope, no sitting around watching Football...The Browns spared Clevelanders, having their bye week...And I'll be honest, I'm just not very interested in the NFL this year...

I did stop to watch the end of the Falcons and Saints game...The Saints pulled out the win, and ended Atlanta's perfect season...Which of course lead to Mercury Morris and his '72 Dolphins buddies, to all cream their pants...Stupid old bastards!

There is one thing I noticed in this great weather that got under my skin...(One no, rant approaching)...There are still people with stupid election ad signs in their yards...Listen, it's over...If your guy won, you look like a gloating ass...If your guy lost, you just look like an ass! The election is over...Everyone was sick of the ads and signs two months ago...Nearly a week later, if you still have a sign up, it's our civic duty to start throwing eggs at your house...

Oh boy...Now, I'm fired up...I'm also tired of the people complaining about winner and losers...There is no changing it...The people have spoken...Stop with the sour grapes...And to the white people who are bitching that there are black people who only voted for the President because he's (half) black...Yes...There are...Just like there are white people who only voted against him because he's (half) black...Neither reason seems right does it, but you're stuck looking at things one-sided...

I'd also like to tell parents to stop saying stupid shit to there kids...My son got shit at school because he said he liked President Obama...Some other little shits, said my son is "on the bad guy's team, because he takes people's guns away."

PLEASE....Please show where these guns the President is taking are...Because this President has done nothing when it comes to gun control...Right now, I can go to Walmart and buy everything I need to shoot the hell out of a movie theater...(huh...Too soon?)

And yes, I voted for President Obama...Why?  Because I support gay marriage...Because while in my own personal life/beliefs I am pro-life...(I've got 3 kids to prove it, and if that test last weekend would have been positive, I'd have #4 on the way)...Politically I am pro-choice...Who the hell am I to say what a woman can or can't do? Next, Bin Laden was killed on President Obama's watch...Clinton didn't get him...Bush didn't get him...That shit earns big points with me...

Romney is a Mormon, and while he doesn't throw his faith in people's faces like hyper-religious Republicans do, there's a reason for that...While he and a great number of Mormons seem like good enough people...That religion is too far from being as crazy as Tom Cruise...(they believe God is on an uncharted planet with the Osmonds waiting for everyone to show up in their magic underwear.)....And his running mate Ryan, not only wants to privatize Social Security, and Medicare, after all these years of taking our hard earned money...But in the long run, he wants to privatize Police and Fire...'What? Your house is burning down? Let's see if you paid your last Fire Bill...No...Sorry, watch it burn.'

Listen, I don't trust any politician...But I really don't trust the R&R boys...

Sorry about that political rant, but a lot of stupid things have been said, and a lot of people don't really dig into all the issues...But now the political bullshit has to stop, and all these DC Dolts need get their asses to work for this country...

My positive side, and my negative side are both driven by the same thing...Hope for our future...My friend FRANK has used versions of this before...But this is my favorite...

Have a week...

The Beeze.

The Beeze's College Football Wrap Up

This week we start out with the great and powerful SEC, and their premiere team (#1) Alabama'a match up with SEC newcomer (#15) Texas A&M, who finished 6th in the Big-12 last year...Oh, what ever could the lowly Aggies do against the almighty Crimson Tide?

Let's switch that to Crimson Stain....Because 'Bama shit the bed Saturday, falling behind A&M 20-0 in the first quarter...Alabama struggled to fight their way back, and got themselves in position to take the lead...29-24 A&M is ahead..."Bama is driving...And then they shit the bed some more, as A. J. McCarron threw an INT at the goal line with a minute and a half left...

But wait, there's more...The Aggies ran the ball three times...'Bama holds, and uses time outs to save as much clock as possible...4th and short...A&M set to punt...'Bama jumps the neutral zone...FIRST DOWN AGGIES!  Game over!  Eat a dick overrated Alabama...And eat a dick overrated SEC...As every team you have tried to hang your hat on this season, has fallen on their face!

Aggies young, star QB, Johnny Manziel had a big day, passing for 253 yards, and 2 TD's, while rushing for 92 yards...This kid has a bright future ahead of him folks!

-Next we take a look at another SEC darling...(#7) Florida who was at home against Louisiana-Lafayette...This game was way too close if you're a Gator fan...How close? Florida returned a blocked punt for a TD wit two seconds left, to take the lead, and win...Yes, Florida has had a better team than people expected, but when you struggle against ULL, it proves you weren't ready for prime time...

-Speaking of not ready for prime time...(#9) Louisville did what all Big East teams do...Remind us that the Big East is garbage...The Cardinals went down to Syracuse...Syracuse...Thanks to Louisville, these Orange dopes are now a .500 team...Louisville gave up 278 rushing yards to the 'Cuse, as the Orange won 45-26....Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater passed for 424 yards and 3 TD's, and it just wasn't going to be enough on senior day in Syracuse...

-(#2) Kansas State went to Fort Worth to take on TCU, looking to jump up to the #1 spot, with Alabama falling to Texas A&M...Collin Klein and company didn't put up huge numbers this, as they battled and grinded out a tough 23-10 win against the Horn Frogs...The talking heads already have (#3) Oregon leap-frogging to number 1, but I've got K-State at the top spot...Especially since, as I write this, Cal is only down 17-10 against the Ducks, and it's almost halftime...Normally Oregon has hung 50 on teams by this point...

-The (#11) Oregon State Beavers were having a heck of a season until they took their second loss in three weeks...This time at the hands of the (#14) Stanford Cardinal, 27-23...With Cal and Oregon left, Oregon State's season is just going to get tougher...While Stanford heads to Oregon and then to UCLA to finish out their year...I guess their road won't be too easy either...

-Next up, the (#4) Notre Dame Fighting Irish went to Chestnut Hill to face Boston College...

The Irish pounded out 3 long scoring drives, one in each of the first three quarters...They also had another good one going in the 2nd, but it was ended by a George Atkinson fumble...the first of two fumbles forced by BC...Both were good defensive plays, but the Irish defense made sure to keep the Eagles out of the end zone, as the Irish stayed undefeated with a 21-6 victory...

It seems each week, we see a little bit more growth, and confidence in red-shirt freshman QB, Everett Golson...Saturday he passed for 200 yards and 2 TD's, and rushed for 39 yards and another TD...Theo Riddick showed off his versatility rushing for 104 yards and catching 4 passes for 56yards...TE Tyler Eifert continued to improve his draft stock, with 6 catches for 67 yards...But more then that, the most improvement in his game, has been in his blocking...NFL teams gotta love a 6-6, 250 pound TE with great hands, good speed, great jumping ability, and excellent blocking skills...

Next for the Irish, they'll be at home against Wake Forest...Then they head to (#19) USC to finish out the season...The Trojans by the way, worked over Arizona State, 38-17...

-This week's Big Ten highlights...That just sounds silly...The Big Ten is such crap this year...Nothing like your conference's best team being under sanctions, so everything they do means nothing...

(#16) Nebraska had to come from behind to beat Pedo-Cover-Up University, 32-23...Then Michigan beat (#24) Northwestern 38-31 in OT...

-As for (#3) Oregon at Cal...While the Bears have been playing tough, the Ducks have started to do their thing, and have gone up 45-17at the start the 4th quarter...So I'm assuming they will hold on to win...I'm off to bed...We'll see tomorrow...

Feel free to add your two cents...

Monday Moaning

I doubt were going to see any Hurricane Sandy damage that looks better then this....

Well, for those of you who don't know, Sandy didn't just kick the hell out of New York and New Jersey...I know that's all the news talked about, but 500 miles away from the eye of the storm, Cleveland Ohio was getting it's ass pounded with rain that had started last Friday, and Monday the high winds kicked in...500 miles away and we were getting 50-75 mph winds...And the rain didn't stop until Thursday...Trees up-rooted all over...power lines down everywhere...My neighbors roof is fucked...The address numbers ripped off my house...Shit got real...There are still people in Northeast Ohio without power...My phone and Internet was down for 3 days...Holy shit I was losing my mind...2 blocks away the electric company, and phone company, and cable companies were working non-stop for 3 days...They had to replace 6 poles...Yeah, I know we didn't take the devastation that New Jersey and parts of New York did, but I felt people needed to understand just how big and strong this storm was...

And because of Sandy, Halloween was pushed back...My neighborhood moved it back to Sunday...So we waited until Saturday to get pumpkins...Good prices...The kids drew their ideas, and I carved them up...I did pretty good...

And here is the family, all ready to go...Our traditional pic with Frankenstein...

And of course, we had the trick or treaters...We had a number of drop offs this year...Those are the fuckers from another neighborhood, who  get dropped off to cut in on the loot...Then we had the shit head parents with a bag, saying they had a sick kid at home...BULLSHIT....Fucking teenagers in no costume...Not even trying...They get nothing from me!  Then I had some dolt pulling a real little kid in a wagon...The kid was asleep...If your kid is asleep in a wagon at 6:30PM, you shouldn't be trick or treating...Fuckers make me crazy...Luckily, I ran out of candy just after 7...I had to dip into snack bags of Goldfish to finish off the rush...Little Beeze got back, and passed out some of his own candy, but by 7:15 or so, the whole street was turning off their lights...So I called it too...

-You want to talk College Football...Checkout the WRAP_UP first...

Plenty of people disrespecting Notre Dame because they had to get lucky, and go to 3 OT's to beat Pitt...Yet, when Alabama was struggling to beat LSU, and looking like shit, the announcers said, "great teams, championship teams, have to have games like this."   Wait, so it's okay for Alabama to struggle, and get lucky, (Les Miles screwed it up) but Notre Dame isn't allowed to...I'm sick of the double standard that gets thrown at ND...I'm sick of the free pass SEC schools get...I'm sick of SEC fans ignoring the fact that, at least half of their conference fucking sucks!

The latest BCS rankings have 'Bama 1...Kansas State 2...Oregon 3...and ND 4...I have no problem with ND being 4...They are most likely the weakest team...But in my eyes, K-State is #1...They have proven it week in and week out, and without a doubt have played the toughest schedule so far...I would probably Oregon #2, just because their offense is so powerful...Their D has a lot of questions, but if they got into a shootout with 'Bama, the Ducks win...

-If you have Browns kicker Phil Dawson on your fantasy team, Sunday wasn't too bad for you, since Dawson kicked 5 field goals...Trent Richardson rushed for 105 yards...And Brandon Weeden threw 2 picks, (should have been 3, Reed dropped one) and looked like crap, as the Browns lost 25-15 to the Ravens...What a sorry game this was to watch...

- I've been keeping an eye on the Seattle Seahawks, ever since that game against the Packers, that everyone says the refs stole...Even though the Seahawks played a hell of a game...Today, the tough Seattle D gave up 182 yards to Adrian Peterson, and the Seahawks still managed to beat the Vikings 30-20...While I'm confident San Fran will take the NFC West, this Seattle team may cause some problems...

-Now, Tuesday is Election Day...I'm not going to get into all the political crap that has gone on...I'm not going to sit here and point out the lies, and try to swing your decision a different way...If you need me to do that, you have bigger problems...And screw undecided voters...Those are just uniformed/lazy dolts....But I am going to pimp one person running for public office...

JIM_WARD for Wisconsin State Senate...I'm in Ohio, so I can't vote for Jim...But any of you readers in Wisconsin, you gotta get behind my pal...I grew up with Jim...Went to Grade School  together...He's no politician...He's a History teacher, who is sick of the same old political BS...

This was written recently about Jim, after a candidate forum...

"1. I'm mostly a Republican voter however Jim Ward was way more impressive than Lazich. In fact, for being in office for 8 years, she did not sound knowledgeable at all. I think it is time to elect people for their qualities rather than the party!

2. It does seem that Ward has a better grasp in the issues."

Seriously Wisconsin, Tuesday, Jim Ward is your guy!

That's it folks...Have a week...

The Beeze's College Football Wrap Up

Well, some might say it would be foolish if I didn't start off with the weekend's biggest game...Of course it wasn't the biggest game in my world...It was the biggest game in the great big hype machine...(#1) Alabama at (#5) LSU...Miles vs. Saban...The rematch of the rematch...LSU has been overrated all year...'Bama has had an easy schedule so far...So what would we get Saturday with these two "power house" programs, and these two coaching "Geniuses"...

More of the same over-hyped crap!

Good defense for the most part...Sloppy offense...Alabama was up 14-3 at the half...But in the second half, LSU Quarterback, Zach Mettenberger started doing something we haven't seen from him before...He started playing like  a confident, big-time college QB...While the Tide's A.J. McCarron seemed to fall apart, and look like crap...

Mettenberger  lead the Tigers to a 17-14 lead...No thanks to his head coach, Les Miles he kept making risky calls...Calls he is known for making, and usually screw his team...Like the fake field goal he called, that Alabama was fully expecting, and stuffed it right away...The On-side kick, that his kicker botched...Going for a fourth and short late, instead of kicking a field goal, and adding to his team's lead...He kept giving Alabama chances to stay in the game...And they did, with  little time left...Because Miles, who's defense had been pressuring McCarron the whole second half...And had been playing tight, press coverage, decided to rush 3, and go all prevent defense...You know, prevent D, that prevents nothing...All the sudden McCarron is completing passes, and leading the Tide on 72 yard game winning drive...

21-17 Alabama...LSU players, you did well...Your coach didn't!  Alabama, got the win, but some weaknesses were shown...

- The big game for me, was of course, (#3) Notre Dame at home versus Pitt...The Irish were coming off their huge win at Oklahoma, and I along with many feared  a letdown...For 3 quarters the Defense was not what we have seen all year...Even Manti Te'o seemed off, until the fourth quarter...The offense which has been inconsistent most of the season, was again Saturday...After 3 quarters Pitt was ahead 20-6...But this time, coach Kelly didn't turn to veteran QB Tommy Rees to try and finish it...Rees had been in earlier, and threw one of his classic picks...Kelly Stuck with the kid, Golson, and we saw another stage of his growth...

Golson used his arm and his legs to get the Irish back...Passing for 227 yards and 2 TD's...And running for 74 yards and another TD...And also the game tying 2-point conversion...Mind you, this wouldn't have been possible had the Irish defense not stepped up and done what they have done all year...They took control of the game back...Then it was overtime...

The first both teams traded field goals...The second, Cierre Wood fumbled while airborne, about to cross the goal line, and the Irish were held off the board...The ND defense held their ground, forcing Pitt to kick a game winning field goal...Wide right...Holy Shit...Third OT, Pitt is held to a field goal...Golson and company drive the ball to the goal line...And then he punched it in on a QB sneak...Irish win 29-26, and go to 9-0...

I saw people on Twitter bashing ND, as usual...One twat saying Irish fans have to feel dirty about the whole undefeated thing...These are the same people that always say, "a win is a win" when their shitty team squeaks out a win...But there's always a double standard when it comes to ND...Fuck that, one standard will do just fine...Notre Dame is 9-0...All that matters is wins and loses, and is doesn't matter how you get them...So Blow me!

- (#2) Kansas State remained undefeated after beating (#24) Oklahoma State 44-30...This game wasn't as close as the score shows...And had K-State not pulled Collin Klein in the 3rd Quarter after an undisclosed injury, I'm assuming the Wildcats would have extended the lead a bit more...By that point Klein had passed for 245 yards and rushed for 64 more, with a TD...By the way he seemed on the sidelines, it didn't appear like a major injury, but Coach Snyder declining to discuss it after the game, has to make K-State fans worry a little...

- In the 'What the Fuck is defense Game' (#4) Oregon went down south to face (#17) USC....The first punt in this game didn't occur until mid-way through the fourth quarter...The Ducks put up 730 total yards of offense, while the Trojans racked up 615 yards...But the stand out player, without a doubt, had to be Oregon's Kenjon Barner, who rushed for 321 yards and 5 TD's, leading the Ducks to a 62-51 victory...

Seriously, Oregon is a fucking offensive, ass-kicking machine, but they should be worried about their defense...Sooner or later, they're going to have a game where some one D's up on them, and they won't be able to play backyard football..."Next team that scores, wins!"

And Trojans...That was the most points ever to be scored on any USC team...EVER...Your team isn't going to win shit, but at least you can hold your heads high knowing that you have that record!

(#12) Oklahoma bounced back from last weeks loss to Notre Dame, and topped Iowa State 35-20...

(#7) Florida squeaked past Missouri 14-7...I've got a feeling the Gators hearts weren't in it after last week's loss to Georgia, ending their perfect season...

(#16) Texas A&M  throttled  (#15) Miss State 38-13...This one may have just proven that up until last week's loss to Alabama, the Bulldogs haven't played anyone...Now after the Aggies Johnny Manziel passed for 311 yards, and rushed for 129 and 2 TD's, Miss State will have to face an angry LSU next week...

-Then there is the undefeated team, no one talks about...(#10) Louisville...Why is no one talking about the Cardinals...Because they play in the Big East...Big deal, they blew out Temple 45-17...That's what good teams are suppose to do...Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater passed for 324 yards and 5 TD's...But the real question from this game is, how did they give up 17 points to Temple?

-As I'm writing this, UCLA is beating the hell out of (#22) Arizona...It's 59-10...Not what I was expecting...Feel free to update me on the score, I won't be wasting anymore time on that...

- (#11) Oregon State is up 36-19 on Arizona State, and the Sun Devils just threw a pick with under 6 minutes left, so I'm going to chalk up another win for the Beavers...( edit: 36-26 final )

- (#20) Nebraska snuck out of East Lansing with a 28-24 comeback win over Michigan State...I didn't see the game...I didn't see any highlights yet, but I saw Michigan State running back Le'Veon Bell tweet that the refs in this game were "the toughest team we've faced all year." And something like the refs beat them...The tweet has been deleted, of course...I'm sure a coach got to him...He better lock it down, because in the NFl that shit will get you fined and suspended...

- TCU went for two during the first overtime at (#21) West Virginia, and converted, knocking off the Mountaineers 39-38...

-Staying in the Big-12, (#23) Texas beat (#18) Texas Tech 31-22...I was expecting this to be a big-time scoring affair...I was also expecting Tech to come out on top of what I thought  would be a shootout...College Football...Just never know what's going to happen....

-Lastly, all those who hate (#19) Boise State will be happy, as the Broncos were upset by San Diego State 21-19...

That's it for now...Feel free to drop in your 2 cents...See ya Monday...
