14 Christmas Songs You Should Listen To

Over the past few years, I've been doing my GETTING IN THE MOOD posts. Sharing Christmas songs and albums I love. I thought it was time to do a new version, sharing some of my favorites Christmas songs. Many of them not traditional. Unique songs and unique versions of traditional songs.

So, let's get right to it...

1. The Kinks- "Father Christmas"....The poor kids anthem, and a classic Kinks riff...

2. Billy Squier- "Christmas is a Time to Say I Love You"...Showing my age...The days when MTV played music...Totally underrated Christmas song...

3. Dead Sara- "Snow in Los Angeles"  Released a few years, I immediately fell in love with this song. The awesome Singer of Dead Sara is now also singing with Linkin Park.

4. "White Christmas" is not only a classic but hands down one of my favorites. I'm not sure I've come across a bad version, but I love  This is the coolest, grooviest, and my favorite version of "White Christmas" by Booker T. & the MG's

5.  "Blue Christmas"  This one is an old standard...It always makes me think of those I wish were still with us. I don't like Elvis...And since one of my favorite bands did it a few years ago, I'll go with them...Our Lady Peace...

6. The Pretenders- "2000 Miles"...I just flat-out love this song...My favorite song from the Pretenders...

7. JD McPherson's "All the Gifts I Need" from his album "SOCKS" has an oldies vibe but it's from 2018.  The album is all original, humorous, with heart and rockin'.

8. "Be Good at Christmas" by Katie Malco. And after this, checkout more of Katie Malco. She isn't talked about enough and her 2020 album "Failures" is the best album that was released in that God awful year!

9. Daniel Mustard- "Since Santa Ain't Coming"...I shared this many years ago...An anti-Christmas song, from a guy who just months before recoding it was homeless. He was discovered by Opie and Anthony and know as "Homeless Mustard." Opie helped and funded him getting a couple EP's recorded. Awhile back Mustard fell off of social media. I hope he's still making music somewhere.

10This next one is unique, but I think it's a great take on the classic. Phoebe Bridgers (featuring Fiona Apple and Matt  Berninger : "7 O'clock News/Silent Night"

11. Pearl Jam- "Let Me Sleep (It's Christmas Time)" Back in the early '90s none of us expected  these guys to do a Christmas song, but they did, and it's excellent...

12. "Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis"  -Tom Waits...It's a beautiful song about, just what the title says...There is also a great remake by Neko Case...

13. A classic we all love from Charlie Brown, "Christmas Time Is Here"...This version comes from sister and brother duo, Jocelyn and Chris Arndt. They do a lot of Bluesy-Rock stuff but this is acoustic, nice and mellow.

14. A song that I'm sure has parts that offend people these days, but it a beauty, sung by an ugly fucking dude. The Pogues classic, "Fairytale of New York."

Getting In the Mood (vol. 7)

It's hard to not get the Holiday Blues, especially in this COVID era when everything is so messed up. I'll always get a touch of the Blues after Christmas is done. come the 26th when Christmas movies stop airing and Christmas music stops getting played. But now I get some of the blues when thinking about my Mom and other loved friends and family who are no longer with us...The fact that they can't share in all the fun and food and presents and music and joy with us just sucks. The best we can do is think of them, tell stories of them, not let each other forget how much they mean to us.

So today's song, "Blue Christmas."

Our Lady Peace is my favorite band and I love their rendition of this tune, but you can't go wrong with the beauty and simplicity of Chet Atkins' version.

Then there's Joe Perry's version he did for the first "Merry Axemas" album, where he showed off some slide skills.

This last one is nice and stripped down by Max Jury.

Love the ones still with us and remember those who aren't.

See you tomorrow.

9. Silent Night....I'm going with the Sarah McLachlan version...But there are so many great versions, it's hard to screw up...If you really want to get depressed check out the Lisa Hannigan version...Uhgg

10. Chris Cornell- Ave Maria...Everyone knew the Soundgarden front man could sing, but when he did this for 1997's  "A Very Special Christmas Volume 3" everyone was blown away to hear just how amazing of a singer he is...

11. "Memory"  -Savatage...Long before you heard of TSO, some of those guys were in a group called Savatage that loved to write Metal Operas...This is from one called "Dead Winter Dead"...It's also where that famous TSO "Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24) came from...

12. "Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis"  -Tom Waits...It's a beautiful song about, just what the title says...There is also a great remake by Neko Case...

Monday Moaning (The Beeze's Top 10 Christmas Songs)

This week the normal Monday Moaning is taking a break...It's just before Christmas and I've been all wrapped up in getting things ready for Christmas...We have our annual Christmas Eve party...Plus I have to pick up the Christmas dinner duties because my Mom was slowed down by some health issues...Don't worry, she's fine...Minor thing, but it threw my folks a wrinkle...My brothers aren't in any position to pick up the slack, so it's on us...

Anyways I've spent no time on sports between work, and the Christmas prep...So, I'm going with music...Music as always been big in my life...Ever since I was a kid...My Mom teaching me about the Beatles and Stones...My dad teaching me about Blues and Jazz...Then my older brothers brought in their influences...I've been hooked on music forever...So this week, since I've been sharing different Christmas song each week, we'll get into the full list...Well, at least the top 10....

1. The Kinks- Father Christmas....The poor kids anthem, and a classic Kinks riff...

Monday Moaning

Well I hope your St. Patrick's Day was as good as hers...

Mine was the least St. Patrick's Day I've ever had...Yes, this is suppose to be a sports blog, but there's a problem with that...I have been disconnected from sports, and well, most stuff....Until Sunday evening, I hadn't seen any TV since Thursday...Well, except a few moments of "Caught on Camera" while we stopped at an Applebees Saturday evening...So this week, you're going to get a recap of my hellish week/weekend...You've been warned...

Wednesday we found out my father-in-law had another stroke or two...He couldn't stand or walk...He was confused...His speech was slurred...He was wetting himself...After an ambulance took him to the hospital, he wasn't admitted because he briefly walked...But by the time he got back home, he couldn't stand, or do anything for himself...The sister-in-laws were on their way in to Erie from Boston...Friday we were suppose to move my in-laws into their assisted living suite....

After calling an ambulance again Thursday, and my father-in-law being in another hospital, it was clear he wasn't going to assisted living...He needs to be in a secure, nursing home...My wife and I took Friday off work...The kids went to school just for a hour and change...Little Beeze was excited to shave his head...They were raising money for kids with cancer by shaving their heads...He was pumped, and I didn't want him to miss it...I'm very proud of him....

After that we all headed to Erie...The kids got settled in, surrounded by chaos...My Brother-in-law and nephew and I started the heavy lifting...We moved all the heavy shit Friday to my mother-in-law's assisted living place...We also took a shit load of boxes...My wife and her siblings took turns visiting their father...That night we had Pizza and beer at grandma's new place...

Side note...1 reason PA sucks...You have to go to a specific store for beer, and another for wine and liquor...And you can only buy beer by the case, which was just forcing me to drink more...Fucked up state...Here in Ohio, I can buy beer, wine, and liquor almost anywhere...I bet I can find beer in a toy store!

Saturday I woke up to snow...In Erie it snows almost every day from November to  May...We all met for an awful breakfast at Perkins...Although Molly enjoyed hers...

Shockingly, after that, there was more shit to move...My brother an law made a bunch of trips over with crap...Our bitch sister-in-law tried to make it out like no else was doing shit but her...I didn't see her stepping up to move that big fucking headboard...I didn't see her humping that dresser down the stairs...I'm not joking, she was driving everyone nuts...I sometimes worry about my anger, but realizing I wasn't the only one who wanted to choke her out made me feel better...

Between one of the trips we stopped at this awesome Candy/Ice Cream/Coffee shop...While we were there, my nephew and Little Beeze strolled in like they owned the place...

To him, his cousin, and uncle are two of the coolest guys on the planet...He loves when he gets to roll with them...While he was having ice cream, and us big guys were having Mocha shakes, we were checking out the rest of the shop...I asked my nephew if he was going to get his girlfriend something...Little Beeze piped up and said, "Yeah, get your wench something!"  My nephew cracked up, as did we, and I gave him a look, and he said, "What, that's what they use to call women."

Kid is hilarious!

Then my brother from another mother and I started going through the basement...My father-in-law loved buying tools, and appliances that he never used...He hadn't even been in the basement for a few years...The house has to be cleaned out, so we were taking what we could use and what could be sold for the family...I brought home a new, never used tools, including everything I need to put in anew kitchen floor, and a nice set of knives...My wife took some old memories, and some old school cameras he had...It all felt strange...

Later, my wife and I snuck the kids in to see grandpa...They aren't allowed to visit if they're under 12...I wasn't going to let that fly...And I'm glad, because they were glad to see him, and he was happy to see them, even if he forgets their names...

The cool sister-in-law/brother-in-law and kids left, headed back to Boston...That was a bummer for all of us...My wife and I brought up dinner to the bitch...She was unresponsive, so we ditched her and we took the kids  to Applebees...It was nice and peaceful being away from the madness...When we got back, there was more work she had for us...Her attitude was starting to get real old....Finally I got loud when I was making it clear that I was putting Molly to bed, and shit needed to stop...The bitch was staying at a hotel...She must have said she was leaving for 2 hours, before she finally left...

Once she did, the wife gave me a gift for the work I had done, and for not killing her sister...Yep, may have been the last sex that busted old house may see!

Sunday I woke up to the sound of her voice...The only weird thing is, she wasn't there...I dreamed it, it woke me up, and pissed me off...That's how she grates on you...I later found out that this has happened to other people...After I did get up...I had two more trips to the assisted living place...I then talked with the manager about getting my mother-in-law's cable set up, as well as her storage space...

When we were saying goodbye to her, there was a St. Paddy's Day party going on...She loves this place...She has fit right in, and it's exactly where she wants to be...After seeing the place as much as I did, I'm looking forward to hitting 55 years old and getting into something like this...It's a relief that she's settled in and taken care of...But my father-in-law's situation still is up in the air...We feel like we've made headway, but then you think about that, and just say, fuck...

With everything going on with my in-laws...His Dementia and strokes...Them now living in two different places...Their kids cleaning out their house...the whole mess...Yeah, it's added stress and frustration, and extra stuff to my plate...But imagine what my wife and her siblings are feeling...And what are her folks feeling...It's pretty depressing...Let's hope next week, I can get things a bit more upbeat, and with some sports...

Have a week...

The Beeze's Top Christmas Songs

So last night I broke out my favorite Christmas movies...So of course now it's time to take a look at my top Christmas tunes...Again, not going with the normal numbers...This time I'm stopping at 11...

1.  "Father Christmas"  -The Kinks...The poor kids anthem...Classic Kinks riff...

(Bad video quality but good sound)

2. "Christmas is a Time to Say I Love You"  -Billy Squier...From the good ole days when MTV played music...To me this has always been an underrated Christmas tune...

3. "2000 Miles"  -The Pretenders...I just love this song...I would call this the best Pretenders song...

4. "Let Me Sleep (It's Christmas Time)"  -Pearl Jam...Back in the early '90s none of us expected  these guys to do a Christmas song, but they did, and it's excellent...

5.  "Blue Christmas"  This one is an old standard...It always makes me think of those I wish were still with us...I'm sure there are plenty of people feeling this year...I don't like Elvis...And since my favorite band did it a couple years ago, I'll go with them...Our Lady Peace...

6.  "Since Santa Ain't Coming"  -Daniel Mustard...For being an anti-Christmas song it's good...But it falls under the scope of Christmas songs, and I like it...

7. "Christmas Song"  -Sleeves...Here's an odd one...A little known one...But it's catchy...

8. "Memory"  -Savatage...Long before you heard of TSO, some of those guys were in a group called Savatage that loved to write Metal Operas...This is from one called "Dead Winter Dead"...It's also where that famous TSO "Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24) came from...

9. "Let It Snow"  -Dean Martin...Another old standard...You gotta love how Dean could lay it down...And I have to say, the Rat Pack Christmas album is awesome...

10. "Silent Night"  I'm going with the Sarah McLachlan version...But there are so many great versions, it's hard to screw up...If you really want to get depressed check out the Lisa Hannigan version...Uhgg

11. "Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis"  -Tom Waits...It's a beautiful song about, just what the title says...There is also a great remake by Neko Case...

That's my list...What's yours like...

Monday Moaning

Okay, so she looks like the best thing I've seen that has anything to do with the Olympics...She is Portugal's Javelin Thrower, (is that the technical term?) Leryn Franco!

I like the Winter Olympics, but the Summer games do nothing for me...First off, they have shit like Ping-Pong...REALLY!?! If you can drink beers and play it in your garage, basement, or "rec room" for those in a higher tax bracket than me, it isn't a sport! Then you have shit like Soccer, and Tennis...Tennis has their "Grand Slam" events every year, that the world's best players take part in...So why is it part of the Olympics? Soccer has the "World Cup" which I have never watched, but I know that's their big fucking deal...So why is it in the Olympics? Shit, Cycling has the Tour de France, so why do we need it in the Olympics?

Hell even Basketball...99% of the worlds best players, play in the NBA...Shockingly, of that 99%, 70% of them make up the world's biggest assholes! So I wonder why do they need Basketball in the Olympics?

Once pro Basketball and Hockey players were allowed in the Olympics, both those events lost the excitement they once had...

Then there is synchronized swimming and diving...I'm sure it's tough as hell, but it's just not enjoyable to watch...And other than those two rich kids that keep trying to sue Mark Zuckerberg, who the hell wants to watch Crew? You want your swimming, fine...I'm not watching, but go for it...Hey Phelps, how's that Subway and Weed diet working out for ya? Track and field...Hell yeah...Too bad they hardly show any of that...Beach Volleyball...Well, they made the ladies cover up more, so that blows...But then they also have men's Beach Volleyball...That's just taking us back to that horribly gay scene from Top Gun...

Luckily Friday night I had plans, so there was no way I was going to get stuck watching the God awful Opening ceremonies...And it doesn't matter where the games are, the opening and closing are always a stupid, and colossal waste of money...Okay, it was on the TV at the joint we had dinner at with friends...But conversation kept me from being totally annoyed...Then we headed to the House of Blues for some Rock & Roll with Our Lady Peace...

Here is the 4th song of the set...

They ripped through the first 9 songs, not letting anyone catch their breath...Then they did an acoustic version of Little Beeze's favorite song, "Thief"...And then pounded out 4 more songs, including a new song "Rabbits" that I kept bugging them to play via Twitter for the last two weeks...They left the stage, for a moment, came back and did a 3 song encore, which started like this...

They left the stage again, leaving people shocked that they hadn't done fan favorite "4AM"...But they quickly returned to do it, with the crowd taking care of the vocals for the first verse and chorus...It was a great show, and our friends who were OLP virgins, had a blast too...Oh, and sorry for the shakiness in the videos...I was enjoying myself and plenty of beers too!

After that, the weekend was just chilling, and hanging with the kids, and avoiding the Olympics...My littlest one has been working on her phone skills...How do you think she's doing?

That's it for now...Have a week...

"New Year's Rockin' Eve" My Ass!

Seriously, look at that orange bastard...Every year ABC has Dick Clark ,and his moosh mouth, propped up like another sequel to "Weekend at Bernie's"...This shit is ridiculous...Since his stroke a number of years ago, Dick has struggled with the countdown...Shit, he's struggled to talk, but it's his show, and whether it's him, or the network, the son of a bitch is there every year saying "Nappy Dew Year!"

While that's annoying as hell, I can get past the freak show aspect...But I have a big problem with the title..."Rockin' Eve"?????? There wasn't a a rockin' act all night...There wasn't even rock act...It was all Pop, Rap, and Country...It was garbage...

That annoying cunt Lady Gaga was on, doing her 'Look at me, I'm so profound' bullshit again...Hey, Gaga we already saw Madonna do this shit years ago...You try to sound like her, and you try to make a spectacle like her...You aren't profound or original...You're just a another dirty gash!

But then I got really pissed, when fucking Justin Bieber rolls out...Sitting at a piano, trying to talk all deep, and share his life lessons with us, and then he jumps into The Beatles "Let It Be"...Fuck you! This little shit ruined it...And for the guitar solo they wheel Carlos Santana out there...They got the Biebes playing a Beatles tune, with old ass Santana...Hmm, you think they are trying to sell him to an older audience as well now!?!

Fucking disgusting...

And Fuck Santana too...For a talented mother fucker, he loves jumping on other peoples coat-tails...His last couple hits were with other singers like Rob Thomas...Hey Carlos have some faith in your talent, and skills, and stop letting other people carry you...

I have some Canadian friends, and they just love it when they can say, "We do that better then you!" Well guess what...They did New Year's Eve better then us...They at least took care of the Rockin' part...New Year's Eve at Niagara Falls, with The Sheepdogs, Simple Plan, and Our Lady Peace...I don't actually know Simple Plan, but they play guitars, and do a rock like thing...The Sheepdogs got a Southern-rock vibe, and OLP made their name in the '90's during the "Alternative" movement...

Hey ABC, Dick Clark, Ryan Seacrest, and Justin Bieber, That's rockin'!

"HAPPY DEW YEAR!"

Merry Christmas From The Beeze

I'm sitting here in Cleveland, dreaming of a white Christmas, that won't be coming...The weather being completely messed up this year, has Cleveland feeling like Seattle...It's rained all week long, with high temps in the upper 40's and low 50's...It feels odd to me, and it's throwing my Holiday spirit off...But I keep pushing on...

Wednesday I took the kids to the mall to pick up another gift or two for the Mrs....On the way there, Little Beeze asked if there would be girls there...I said, "At the mall? Of course there will." He said, "Good, I hope there are lots of hot girls there!" That's my boy...7 years old and cock-strong! Well in case they weren't at the mall, we know they'll be at the top of my blog!

Now all the shopping is done...The wrapping, just about done...Stuff is hidden...There is still plenty of cooking and cleaning to do before our little Christmas Eve party...Between, work, the kids, and getting ready for Christmas Eve, and Christmas day, it's been crazy...And then in a flash, it's all over...All this work, and stress, and poof, it's over...

But there are the memories...I'm sure little Beeze and Molly, will give us plenty to smile about, while our oldest looks like she will give into peer pressure, and be done with the whole Santa thing...Especially since Santa said fuck no to the Dog she wants and the $150 doll she wants...A fucking doll to sit on a shelf, and collect dust, for $150...Fuck all that! Although the way my wife spent on her, she could have gotten two of those things!

But Christmas isn't just about Santa and gifts and parties, and lights, and trees, all that fun shit...That's what we're suppose to say right? It's about that wonderful miracle, of an unmarried, virgin, somehow winding up pregnant...

A spirit did it? I tried to tell my wife that's what happened the first time too...That shit didn't fly! I won't get into any religious debate here, I'm just saying, today if some chick gave me that line, I wouldn't believe her...Many of the faith based stories are hard to buy into...

This time of year also makes me think about those who aren't in our lives anymore...Whether it be because they have passed away, or because we just grew apart...Either way, I always think of them around Christmas, and miss them dearly...Then I'll think of those who want to be with their loved ones, but are forced apart because of military commitments...Just sucks...(Time for a musical interlude)

I feel like I'm just rambling on here...I' guess I'm just trying to shake off a bit of the holiday blues, and get my Holly Jolly back...I'm sure I'll get there after I get out of the Fish House tomorrow (with a X-mas Bonus in my pocket)...

Oh, and one last thing...For the ladies...When Santa is done doing spreading good cheer...Do spreading yourself, and a drop and gobble is always nice too!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

"If You Believe in the World, I'm Calling"

What the Hell is going on? Is this shit London, or Detroit?

Are we actually going to make it to 2012? This is my 500th post here, and I'm wondering what will the world be like after the next 500, or will we even still be here...

People started protesting the police in London, because they shot and killed a man...Somehow the protests turned into all-out, burn this fucker down, steal everything we can, riots...What these ass-hat, rioting fucks aren't talking about, is why this dumb asshole was shot and killed...HE SHOT AT THE POLICE!!! Ummm, if you shoot at police, they shoot back! This guy was no saint, but somehow this turned into a socioeconomic battle, and now these dopes are destroying their neighborhoods, businesses, and infrastructure...

How fucked up...People of London, this is not how you fix things...Wake up, before it's too late...

-Here in America, we had our giant battle over the debt ceiling...Then when politicians drove us to the edge of financial disaster, S&P took a stand and dropped our national credit rating...Whether justified, or not, they made a point, and the Market tanked Monday, slightly bounced back Tuesday, and went back to the shitty on Wednesday...

What are the politicians doing, besides vacationing? They're all playing the blame game...Guess what it's not just President Obama's fault...It's not just Republicans' fault, or Tea-Party dolts fault...The fault falls on all of them, and all politicians who have only been looking out for themselves for the last 30 years...

I actually DVR'ed all the Sunday morning news shows and watched them all this week...What idiots...One Tea-Party dope said if The President would have listened to the Tea-Party and given $4 Trillion in cuts, we wouldn't have this problem...Yeah, except there was a plan being worked on between The President, and leadership from both parties...It had $4 Trillion in cuts, and had reform to Medicare and Social Security...But God forbid, it also had closing Tax loop-holes, so the largest companies would actually pay taxes, and not get unnecessary rebates...Those would have brought in $4 Trillion...

Get it, cut $4 Trillion, and add $4 Trillion would make us plus $8 Trillion...But these hard-line Republicans, and Tea-Party dopes screamed no...So now all we have is $2 Trillion in cuts, so we're still pretty much screwed...And instead of fixing shit, all our politicians are on vacation, saying it's all some one else's fault...You all waited until the last minute, and you all screwed up...Get back to work, listen to the people, and do the work the people pay you to do...

-But at least we aren't in Africa...

Yes, Africa, where there are 600,000 children on the verge of dying from starvation...If a major drought isn't enough, then there are the Muslim extremists who have been on a killing spree, driving already sick, and hungry families from there homes, and to refugee camps...Then these warlords are also stopping aid from getting to the refugees as much as possible...And the U.N. says they only have enough money and supplies to last another 3 weeks...

It's odd how our Government, and NATO, and the U.N. don't really seem to care about Muslims extremists committing genocide in Africa, but all other Muslim extremists are bad and need to be taken out...Ummm, if we're gonna take on this crusade, then let's handle all of the nut jobs...

It's getting hard to believe in our leaders...Hell it's getting harder and harder to believe in human beings...I'm not giving up...Let's see where we are in another 500 posts...

"If You Believe"

"So, you've made up your mind
You're tired of trying
Time to be scared
And you wanted to fly
You can't close your eyes
Time to beware

But if you believe in the world I'm calling
And if you belong in the world I saw
And if you believe in the world I'm calling
You'll be strong

So you wasted your time
You willed it goodbye
Time to be scared
You thought you could buy
Your last piece of mind
Time to beware

But if you believe in the world I'm calling
And if you belong in the world I saw
And if you believe in the world I'm calling
You'll be strong"

Monday Moaning (things I love)

Well, as I write this, my wife and daughter are watching The Oscars, and I figured I'd come down to the man-cave/playroom and knock out my blog...The only reason in my opinion to tune into the Oscars would be to look at Anne Hathaway...By why do that when I can just pull up the hot and dirty parts of her career online!?!

So a couple weeks for Valentine's Day, instead of being lovey-dovey, I filled my post with hate...You know, shit that pisses me off...There may have been some people who didn't like that sentiment...Now anyone who reads my blog regularly should know what to expect, but some people are just silly sometimes...

So this week's post is going to be a bunch of things I love...Besides Myself and my family, cause I guess I made that clear already! And since I couldn't tell you what's going on in the world of sports other than the shit you already know, why not just do a nice fluff piece...Oh, and Rex Ryan, can you stop making stupid statements about winning the "Super Bowl" every off-season...Go suck a toe fatty!

Okay, first I clearly love Anne Hathaway, and other such sexy woman, like ROSIE_JONES!

I love Hockey...Playing it, watching it...I'll watch any level...It's the greatest sport out there...

I love blogging...I love getting my true thoughts and feeling out there...even if those thoughts and feelings are filled with hate at times...At least it's honest!

I love great comedians like Bill Burr, Patrice O'Neal, Jim Norton, the late, great George Carlin, and Louis CK...All are funny, and smart...This past week, on the O & A show Louis CK not only asked Donald Rumsfeld if he was a flesh eating lizard...But before that he made some amazing points about Corporate America...Yes, it's a long clip that has two others that follow it, but if you have time, take a listen....

I love my XM Satellite Radio...Not just for Opie and Anthony...I not hearing the same shitty play lists that every shitty radio station beat into your head...

I love Notre Dame...Not just the sports...The whole damn campus...I love it in the Fall...

And I love it in the Winter...

The Spring is nice too!

I love Macho Salad...

I love the word fuck...It's the best word going...Really, there's nothing you can't do with it...

I also love to fuck!

I love music...All kinds of music...I love Jazz...Real jazz...None of that Kenny G shit...I'm talking John Coltrane and Thelonious Monk Jazz...

Yes, and anyone who reads me knows, I love Our Lady Peace...

And I love it when they take a song by some one else, that I don't like, and make me like it...

I love Great Lakes Beers...Conway's Irish Ale was my friend Saturday night!

I Love Irish Car Bombs!

I love porn! Find that on your own creeps!

I love Twitter...I get so much news and bullshit from people's link on there it's great...It makes things even easier for our lazy ass society...

I love technology, but is shit like this going to kill off people playing real musical instruments one day?

I and my son, we love Drinking out of Cups...

I'm sure I could go on for days, but I want to have a drink, watch some porn, and keep watching NORM_MACDONALD'S twitter feed, as he trashes The Oscars!

Have a week...

Spending Too Much Time On YouTube...Again

So the whole Beeze Family ended up in bed early tonight...Well except me...It's rare that I go to bed early...Early for me is 1:00AM...So I've been bouncing around online and of course spent too much time on YouTube...I know I've done other posts like this, but who cares...There's so much good shit out there, why not post it...Let's start with something I found tonight...

The Techno Viking!

How f**king cool is that dude!?!

This next one my buddy Jurk sent me this one on Facebook...Laughed so much I almost shit myself...You'll get it in a second...

Hahahaha! Yes, I'm pointing and laughing at her!

Now let's take a look at one of the best hockey fights I've seen this year...This throw down happened tonight, and it's an instant classic...

As one of the announcers said..."Wow!"

Next up, comedian Patrice O'Neal giving women some helpful hints on how to treat their men...

What else is there to say?

This past week legendary musician Alex Chilton died...Here's Paul Westerberg doing his song inspired by the man...

Now I know this next one is old for the topic it's about...But it's Bill Burr being himself, and saying exactly what I have felt for awhile now...10 minutes of Bill Burr blasting Peyton Manning...I love it!

I'll now end this with some more music...A little montage of Our Lady Peace on their latest tour...

Next weekend their in Buffalo and the old lady and I will be there...Kid free for a night! Can't wait!

Some of the Beeze's Guilty Pleasures (Music Edition)

So last week Mo over at You Gab Sports did a post on some of his guilty pleasures from the music world... http://yougabsports.com/pt/Guilty-Pleasures-5-Pack/blog.htm

It got a number of us sharing some of ours...So, I thought I'd share a taste of some of mine...

First up is the band Augustana...Mrs. Frag was wondering who the hell they are? So here ya go....

I also mentioned "Squok" by Genesis...It's from when they were cool, and not doing that crappy pop junk...Just sit back with a drink, or blaze up and enjoy this classic...

I also mentioned Journey...Yeah they were all about the power ballad...But they could rock...Neil Schon is an animal on guitar...And Steve Perry could sing like a mutha fucka...

In the comments of Mo's post I mentioned Pink, and Kelly Clarkson...I love female singers...The next guilty pleasure is from a band with a female singer...Paramore...I'm sure I may get some ball busting from this, but I dig it...Maybe it makes me feel young...

Here's another band with a female singer...K's Choice...A half assed Cleveland band called Big Sailor opened for them at the Agora in Cleveland back in '97 and I've been hooked ever since...

And since most people know Our Lady Peace is my biggest musical guilty pleasure...And since it was guitarist Steve Mazur's birthday yesterday, I'll close with this six pack out with them...This song is called "Paper Moon"...Great guitar solo!

REALLY?

I got some serious what the f**k going on today...It all started when I heard the President was named the winner of The Nobel Peace Prize...

This isn't a crack on President Obama...Some dopes decided to give this to him...Why? No one has really been able to give me a good answer...Is it because of his great speeches and grandiose promises? I don't know...But I think it's a bunch of horse sh!t...

How about this...At the beginning of Spring Training, Indians pitcher Aaron Laffey will promise to win 22 games, with an ERA under 2.00 and at least 180 stikeouts...Okay...Now give him the CY Young Award! F**king ridiculous, yes?

Then I was chatting with some co-workers about the H1N1 hype, and whether or not we should get the vaccination...This is some more horse sh!t...First off all flu vaccines are nothing but guess work in a white coat...Plus this one was so rushed, they don't know if they got it right...Then there's always the side effects...You know, like the really good ones when you take a vaccine, and it ends up giving you the very thing you wanted to prevent...No thank you Dr.

And who's to say this isn't all a bunch of drummed up crap...You know...A little population control, mixed with a health scare, to help push through some health care reform...(yes I've become very un-trusting these days)...Don't get me wrong, I hate insurance companies, and I want to see some REAL health care reform...But these dolts in Washington don't give a sh!t about what we think or want...

And since I'm ranting about this crap...People die every year from some type of flu...That's just the way it is...Listen the majority of flu deaths are the elderly or infants...Those with the weakest immune system...That's right we have an immune system to fight of sicknesses and build up a tolerance against them...The rest of the flu deaths, I chalk up to people being f**king idiots...If you get that sick after all this H1N1 hype, and don't go to doctor to be treated...Not only are you an idiot...Now you're dead idiot...Thank you, more air for me to breathe!

Next up in my happy little crock-pot of rage tonight...After picking up the kids and going to the bank we were on our way to DUNKIN' DONUTS for a treat and I needed some coffee...So We're on our merry way, and I kinda didn't make a complete stop at a stop sign...But hear me out...I was the only traffic...There was nobody coming from any other direction at this 3-way stop...But who's parked around the corner in his not so looking like a police car, car...That's right...Johnny Law...Right up my ass...

As he walked to my window I already had mi license and proof of insurance ready for him...Why fight it...I knew what I did...He said, "you know, you should stop at those stop signs." I of course, as always show police officers respect, and said..."Yes sir, I kinda rolled that one...Sorry about that." He went back to his car and I sat there with the little Beeze busting my balls...He comes back with a ticket...I'm not saying I don't deserve it...I'm not trying to be an asshole...BUT...Give me a break...There's bigger problems then me rolling a stop sign at an empty intersection...But whatever...Then I find out the fine...$120...F**K YOU! That's insane!

My taxes that went up twice this year aren't enough...Now you gotta jack up the traffic violation fines...Last year I got a ticket for speeding...I was doing 48 in a 25...The fine was $75...The scale seems off to me...Whatever...Protect and serve this!

Then we get home...I get the mail...What's in there? The latest Sporting News...This stupid rag's subscription hasn't run out yet...It was once good...Now it totally sucks...I look at the cover and see Sidney 'take a dive' Crosby and Ben Rothlisberger, with his big, fat, retarded, Shrek face...I wanted to puke...
-
-
Then I see they named Pittsburgh their #1 sports city this year...Then I puked! Not so much because it was Pittsburgh...But because I live in Cleveland, and I've seen how Pittsburgh has progressed and changed itself...Not just sports wise...But as a city as a whole...Okay that, and seeing Crosby and Rothlisberger on the cover...I hate those two douche bags!
-
Okay, enough ranting for tonight...Let's end with a song...I've had this one stuck in my head for awhile...Here it is unplugged..."The End is Where We Begin"

Monday Moaning

Well I just posted something that has kinda brought my mood down...I don't feel like doing my normal Monday post...But I will...How can I not...I mean after you read about the little Beeze and what he said this weekend...How could I let it go to waste?

First the post I wrote Sunday night...in case you missed it...
http://thebeezewax.blogspot.com/2009/08/where-is-beverly-potts.html

Now, to lighten the mood a little...If you want a chuckle, check out this post I did Saturday night about a classic eighties movie...
http://thebeezewax.blogspot.com/2009/08/movie-george-lucas-wants-us-to-forget.html

I've been stuck in a little bit of an eighties movie rut this weekend...There's one that has always bothered me...There's just some underlying thing there...And with the help of Quentin Tarantino, I've put my finger on it....

Holy Sh!t..."Top Gun" is so Gay!

Moving on to a little sports...Just a little...I mean right now, it's all getting ready for Fantasy Football, and hoping the Red Sox don't sh!t the bed and miss the playoffs...

The Cleveland Browns not only scored this weekend in their preseason game...They won 27-10...
I know, it's just preseason...And it was only against the Lions...But screw it...A win is a win and right now, I'll take it...

With each week, I get more excited about football season...Not so much about the Browns...Just football in general...

Now most of you know I'm a huge Notre Dame fan...I always liked Lou Holtz...Some people love the hell out of him...I just like him...But then the crazy old coot predicts a Florida vs. Notre Dame title game...Christ, I'm not even that much of a Domer-Homer...Here's a link to that nonsense...
http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/blog/dr_saturday/post/Out-on-a-limb-even-for-Dr-Lou-Irish-in-the-ti?urn=ncaaf,184500

The highlight of my weekend was on Thursday night...I know, it's not the weekend...Too bad...The wife and I went to the House of Blues and saw Our Lady Peace...the show was amazing, and of course I wrote about it...
http://thebeezewax.blogspot.com/2009/08/our-lady-peace-live-at-cleveland-house.html

Friday was a day of recovery...Saturday, worked at the Fish House, and didn't do much when I got home...

Sunday, We took the kids up to Kiddie Park...We were meeting some friends there...They have three daughters...One our daughter's age...One our son's age, and a younger one...We always joke about how cute our son is with their daughter that's his age...she's one of the few people that put him in his place...They get along great, and she sometimes calls him her boyfriend...

Now lately we've noticed another sign that helps prove he's just like his me...He's been sportin' some wood lately...Is 4 too young...I'll be honest...I started grinding my junk on stuff at about 4 years old...

So him and his little girlfriend are getting off one of the rides they had been on together...And he says..."Oh man, my pee-pee is sticking out again!"

Maybe I'm a bad parent, but I was laughing my ass off!

Now, I'm posting this and getting outta here...I gotta get ready for the Fish House fantasy football draft tomorrow...And I should probably get some of the poison out...

Here's a little more OLP, because "we're always in repair."
