-Now, I'm moving right along to my crusade to promote the fighting in the NHL, because douchebags like Mathew Barnaby and Mike Milbury annoy me so much for talking about getting rid of fighting in Hockey...Milbury who climbed in the stands and hit fan with a shoe, and Barnaby who never would have been in the NHL if he didn't scrap....Assholes!

- Now I will get to the final topic for this edition of Monday Moaning...The Bowl selection happened...And the Fiesta Bowl selected Notre Dame and Ohio State...The line has opened with Ohio State being a 5 point favorite...

I'll take it...The Irish plus 5...Ohio State has covered the spread just twice this season, on a really weak schedule...And I'm not even going to rag on the schedule, because anymore, it's a crap shoot, and the schedules are made a few years out...The Irish had softies too...But at least neither Charleston Southern on their schedule, right Alabama!?!  (twats!)

I saw some friends on Facebook already talking trash, like this is a damn cakewalk for Ohio State...Jesus fucking Christ, they struggled with Northern Illinois, Indiana, and Minnesota...Even in the games where they blew teams out they sucked balls for a quarter or two...Ohio State didn't play a complete until Michigan...

Yes, Notre Dame had a couple clunkers...Their defense saved them against BC, when the offense took that night off...Then the defense shit the bed against Stanford...

I expect this to be a good game...I expect a few sloppy moments, because shit, both of these teams had plenty of those this season, that's why they aren't in the playoffs...And yes, Buckeye Nation, I saw you pissing and moaning on Twitter Saturday night and early Sunday morning, how the playoffs should be eight teams and not four....Funny how you didn't feel that way last year...Knuckle up!

Anyways....I have to take a trip into Ohio soon, and make some bets with my friends there on this one...I'm looking forward to New Year's Day now!

"Everything is Bigger in Texas..."

Okay, to be fair, I'm northern boy, and it seems easy to talk shit about Texas at times...Been then again, I was born in raised in Cleveland, Ohio...A place that has been shit on religiously since before I was born...So I feel I'm allowed to fire my own wise-cracks at people around the world, including assholes in Texas...

And while I'm about to single out the Texas Longhorns Football team, both schools in this game are in Texas...

So Baylor's 4th string QB throws an interception...His teammates don't get the guy...He does, right at the sideline...Now it looks like he Texas player's one foot was hitting the sideline right as Hawthorne, (the QB) got there...But watch the video, there is no whistle...Hawthorne continues to battle the Texas defender and is starting to throw him to the ground as the whistle blows...(blown before he is down...That whole progress was stopped crap)...






The QB played it right...He played it hard, and he played through the whistle...And what happened...the Texas bench, a 5-7 team, acted like a bunch of cunts...Shoving him, 18 is no actor, he intentionally fell on top of Hawthorne...They started a bunch of shit, for no good goddamn reason...

People keep talking about Charlie Strong changing the culture at Texas, including myself...Doesn't look like it's working....They're record sucks, and they're acting like punk-ass cunts...

With this one play, I lost all hope for the culture changing at Texas, and for whatever the hell Strong is doing!

It doesn't happen often, but when it does, it's scary as hell...And that's just me speaking as a viewer....How the hell did Vitaly Sitnikov feel when he was bleeding from the Throat!?!

In a KHL game, Sitnikov's neck caught a skate from a falling Ladislav Nagy, and here's how it went down...

Malarchuk had his jugular sliced...It was so severe that if it was another period, if he was at the opposite end of the ice, he would have most likely died...The trainer literally had his fingers in there pinching it off as mush as possible while they got Malarchuk to a stretcher...


A smart man, the next day was buying stock in Vaughn and Brown and Itech neck protectors...

Well, after a crazy holiday weekend, what better way to start then with Rosie Jones doing a little wiggling!

 Obliviously, Turkey day I cooked my ass off...Through that evening, a cold started creeping it's way through the house...Nothing bad, just some stuffiness that eventually got to all of us...Friday I enjoyed some hockey and football...Oh, and leftovers...Leftovers for lunch and dinner...

Saturday was a lazy, rainy day...Leftovers and a bit of college football...Sunday there was chill in the air, but it was nice outside...So, it was time for Molls and I to do the outside lights...The oldest has her birthday coming this week, and refuses to partake in any Christmas horseshit until after that...The boy was doing his thing...But Molls was fired up to do some lights...So we did it...4 bushes lit...Wrapped the post with red, white, and green lights, like a candy cane...My parents old Frosty the Snowman, and some other little touches...Yay Christmas...Fuck we haven't even started shopping, and the wife has to go to Texas for a few days this week for work...Yuck!

-So, the kids have an extra day off for the Thanksgiving weekend...Yes they have this fine Monday off...Why? Hunting Season Starts!  Listen, I knew before I moved to Erie that hunting was a big thing here...And while walking the dog, I've noticed a lot of pick'em up trucks and camo...But shit, and extra day off school! Maybe it's just because I'm from Cleveland...I mean people in Cleveland hunt too...But normally they wear black hoodies and drive an old Pontiac!

(Oh my God, racially insensitive joke about all shooting sin Cleveland! Totally want to use that at an open mic night here!)


-I recently posted THIS blog about the NHL trying to increase scoring, and screwing with goalies...Well, Friday the dolts on NHL Radio were searching desperately for a topic, so they were talking about ideas to increase scoring again...The big idea they spent a bunch of time on was, switching the game to 4 on 4 skaters...

FUCK YOU!

Why do these dolts not get it...Why can't they watch a game that has great goal-tending and great defense and enjoy it...The Rangers and Bruins battled Friday afternoon...Lots of tough defense...Lots of physical play...Quality scoring chances...Hard-nosed, grinding play...Two goalies playing well...And it wasn't some nightmare 8-6 game...Those games suck!

If you go to 4 on 4, you will lose the physical aspect of the game...You lose that, and you will lose a whole lot of the core fans....Oh, and then there is the matter of the players union telling you to fuck off...If you go to 4 on 4, you'll be cutting players jobs...That's going to be a really big stumbling block to get past...

How about this...Hockey's great...Are there people that don't get it? yes...Fuck'em! Leave it alone!


- Enough with the nonsense...Lets get into the part where I promote fighting in Hockey...Yeah, last week wasn't a one time thing...That's how much your bullshit pissed me off Matthew Barnaby...

Notre Dame's Season Comes to an End

With that kick, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish season ended....Yes, they'll go and play in a bowl game...And a good one at that...But the season they wanted...The season us fans wanted...It's over...Two losses, no playoffs...

Now, I have to give them credit for putting together a helluva season considering the number of key injuries they suffered...That said, the Irish spent all pre-season tooting their horn about what great depth they had coming into this season...So, no excuses allowed when it comes to the injuries...

There was something else the Irish and the media were hyping in the pre-season, and much of the season...The Notre Dame defense, and their defensive coordinator, Brian Vangorder...Holy fuck I got annoyed at watching this guy during games, and on Showtime's "A Season with Notre Dame"...The announcers on TV were constantly hyping this ass-hat up...I'm sorry, watching the Stanford game, ND didn't deserve to win...Not the way the defense was giving up yards and points...Let alone the fact that ND took the lead with 30 seconds left in the game, and still managed to lose....That was ridiculous!

All season long, even when the Irish defense was dominating a game, they would still give up a couple embarrassing TD's...The Boston College game is the only game that I would give the defense credit....That game the offense sucked balls, and the D kept them in it...

Again, ND had some injuries that would cripple teams...But the told us they had depth, and they proved it...What they didn't have was the cock-strong defense they said they had...This is the 4th season in Brian Kelly's 6 seasons at Notre Dame, that the media and ND have hyped the defense...Do us a favor...Don't hype the defense next year...That way, if they end up being good, we'll all be happily surprised...And if they suck, or play they way they have been, then we won't be letdown...

Good season...I was impressed with the young QB, Kizer...Will Fuller is a beast, but drops too many passes...Chris Brown is good, but drops too many passes...CJ Prosise is a RB not a WR, that was proven clearly...Good season...But not good enough....

It is Thanksgiving and I thought I would sit down and take a moment to reflect on just how lucky I am...I have much to be thankful for...

-Great friends, near and far...

-Wonderful friends who have helped us with our move and this major transition in our lives...

-Wonderful family...I'm am very thankful for how my wife's family has excepted me over the years...Since day one they have made me feel like one of the gang...My side, well, other than my parents and brothers I have distanced myself from the extended family...Far too much drama and stupidity to deal with...

My Parents, who excepted our moving, and understood why we were doing it, and supported us the best they could, even though we were doing it at the worst time for them...

-My amazing wife...I still wonder what the hell she ever saw in me..."I'm hard to follow, even harder to swallow, and impossible to hold."
She is pretty, smart, kind, loving, and incredible...She is a much better person then me, and always reminds me that I can be better...But she can't cook, so maybe that's why she keeps me around!

-My oldest daughter...Smart, sweet, honest, loyal, thoughtful, caring, mother-hen...She has a truly pure soul...I have told her before, but I don't think she has gotten yet...She can do anything in this world...She gives me a flicker of hope for future generations...

-My son...Amazing artist...He has more artistic ability in on finger then everyone on this block combined...drawing, clay, whatever...He just started doing it one day, and was great at it...He has incredible vision, with is eyes, but more so with his mind...He can spot a subliminal message in ad you put in front of he...He sweet and sensitive, and compassionate and slightly naive...I fear it will work against, but I don't want him to totally lose it either...

-My youngest daughter...#3...The one that changed everything...She flipped our world upside down and I'm so thankful for it...Every day, no matter how bad things may be going, she will make me laugh...She will bring complete joy over me with the littlest, silliest thing...

-Our wonderful home...Yes, I'd be thankful just for having a home...But I am very thankful for the deal we were able to workout to get this home...I am thankful for this house, that seems to fit us like a glove...Whenever I moved in my life, I needed an adjustment period, to get use to things...To feel comfortable...To feel like I belonged...In this house, I felt like I belonged day one...I think we all did...This house feels like home...

-Lastly, I mentioned my parents earlier...I am what I am mostly because of them...I am thankful for that...And I am so thankful for my mother's toughness, and courage, and health...In May doctors were talking about Stage 4 Cancer, quality of life, and trying to get her an extra year...After 24 weeks of Chemo, her scans are clear...Shocking us and shocking the hell out of the doctor...Now she is fighting to get her strength back, and to get back to herself....I am so thankful for her health, and for her example...

I apologize if this too damn sappy...I'll get back to being an asshole in my next post...For now, chop that birds head off, and get him in the oven sugar-tits!

Well, Saturday the Ohio State Buckeyes looked like asses...It wasn't just that they lost to Michigan State...Which by the way, Ronda feels for ya...

To me, the biggest thing is all year, they have wasted their best player, Zeke Elliott...You know, the guy that carried them through the end of last season, and the playoffs...And Saturday, after getting only two carries in the second half, he made his thoughts and feelings known...

"How we lost, I just feel like we weren't put in the right opportunity to win this game, we weren't put in the right situations to win this game. I don't think Michigan State was better than us. They weren't. We didn't execute."


Elliott continued....

"Honestly, this is my last game in the Shoe. I mean, there's no chance of me coming back next year."

"What happened today, it was kind of like a bad, bad dream. Offense had a rough day, and I'm disappointed. I'm disappointed in the play calling, I'm disappointed in the situations we were put in, and I wish it all played out differently."

Shit is real tense in Columbus...Sure, it wouldn't be as tense if they managed to win, but considering how the Buckeyes haven't been blowing the doors off people they should have all year, it's clear that there has been trouble in Paradise...In my opinion, it never helps when you do that idiotic QB juggling crap...When you say, "we have two starting QB's," what you're really saying is, you don't have a starting QB...

I'd say I feel bad for ya...But we all know that would be bullshit, right?

Thanks to Ohio State, my Fighting Irish's position was helped...Which they needed since they couldn't hold onto the football all night in Fenway park...Dropped passes out the ass...Fumble after fumble...A couple INT's...The Irish defense is the only reason they got out alive...I first wrote that they didn't deserve the win...But the D did...The offense needs to run 100 laps cradling a football....

- How about Hockey...The New York Islanders moved to Brooklyn, and many thought it would be a great move...But so far, the ticket sales haven't gone as well as hoped...Plus, the arena isn't ideal for hockey viewing...The Nightly Show did a funny bit to try and help the Islanders reach real people from Brooklyn...

And while I'm here promoting hockey...I'm going to promote fighting...Why? Because 1. I like it...but more importantly 2. Because Matthew Barnaby is a fucking asshole...I'm listening to this guy on his Sirius XM, NHL Radio show, and he is yapping about how fighting needs to go away in hockey...And he sees it being gone relatively soon...Just to be clear folks, for those of you who may not know this...If it wasn't for fighting, Matthew Barnaby would have never had an NHL career...The guy was a garbage player, who talked shit, checked, threw elbows, and fought...Fucking cock-smoker...Oh, he has also hit women in his past too...Piece of shit!

Season Over for Kaepernick...

Today, 49ers QB, Colin Kaepernick's season ended...

Kaepernick, was listed on the injury report Friday as Probable,  told the 49ers that he wanted to have surgery on his non-throwing shoulder...The team put him on IR, a "source" told "ESPN NFL Insider" Adam Schefter....

 Undrafted rookie quarterback Dylan Thompson was promoted from San Francisco's practice squad to replace Kaepernick on the roster.

In last-place (3-6), the 49ers were on a bye last week and had benched Kaepernick for their Nov. 8 game...Blaine Gabbert, got the start and helped lead the team to an upset of the Atlanta Falcons...

The question now that Kaepernick's season with the 49ers has ended will be...Is this just the first step in San Francisco cutting ties completely with the disappointing Kaepernick?

North Dakota has a New Nickname

No, that isn't the official new logo, but considering the new nickname is the "Fighting Hawks," that would be a great logo to piss off all those that killed the Fighting Sioux nickname...

After two years the best they could come up with is "Fighting Hawks"...I'm sorry, but that shit is lame...But if they get a cool logo maybe it will work well if they try to incorporate some Native American style into it, to match somewhat with the Sioux logos still present...(yes I said Native American...Not for the cunts...It just read better)...

The Fighting Sioux logos throughout The Ralph Engelstad Arena, where the Division I hockey teams play, will remain as part of an agreement with the NCAA....Part of that being because Engelstad was so against the name changing, that when he had the arena built, he had Sioux logo all over that fucking place...In stone, in tile, in marble, large portions of floors and walls...Everywhere...He was all about sticking it to the PC police...That's why the change didn't happen until years after he died...

And while I don't love this nickname...I like it more then the other 4 finalists for the new nickname...

Boston College...A Joke in Their Own City

Yes, that is a football field in historic Fenway Park...And it sure looks like a home field for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish...

The Irish will be playing long time rival, Boston College at Fenway Park...This year the game was thrown under the "Shamrock Series" label, which is something the Irish have done for the last five years...It's supposedly a big thing for alumni around the country, but I think it has more to do with recruiting....They play at a neutral site, and wear a completely different uniform from the traditional ND style...

This year, it isn't a neutral site...It's in Boston...But for some reason, the field sure looks like a ND home field...And the Irish special uniforms...They have been dubbed "the Green Monster uniforms"....

"Green Monster" uniforms...The Notre Dame Fighting Irish written in the end-zones...Hey Boston College, did you also say, 'Hey Notre Dame, could you please fuck all of our girlfriends and sisters while you're making yourself at home!?!'

I get it...It's good for fans...It's good for Alumni...It's good for recruiting...It's good for the city of Boston, especially hotels and bars...People will actually pay attention to Boston College football for a few minutes...It's great...But it sure makes BC look like bitches!

The NHL's War on Goalies

Since the late 1990's the NHL has constantly been doing things to increase scoring...They have made rule changes to try and hinder defense...They have continued to look at goalies and find things to change about the position...They basically punished goalies for being good puck-handlers, and took away their right to play the puck outside of the crease....(except for that stupid little trapezoid)...They have scaled down the size of goaltender's equipment, which I had no problem with because at a point, the pads were huge...But to be fair, goalie pads did have to improve and increase in size to a degree...

Technology has continued to change the game...The equipment has changed so much since I was a kid...All these new, lightweight, super torque sticks are insane...Christ, I still have wood sticks!   So players are bigger, stronger, and faster, with high-tech equipment...Goalies and their equipment needed to follow those advances with their own...Not just to compete, but for safety as well...

Of late, NHL talking heads all over TV and Sirius XM NHL Network Radio, GM's and owners, and the NHL brass are making another big push to increase scoring...They say they are seriously considering shrinking the pad size for goalies...I don't think most goalies will have an issue with that, as long as it;s proven that they will be safe with the smaller sizes...Many are talking about increase the size of the goal...I have a problem with that...Increasing the size of the goal could drastically impact the record books...All the sudden Connor McDavid is going to have all this extra space to squeeze pucks in, and to hell with the History that Gretzky, Howe, Messier, Dionne, Esposito, Selanne, Jagr, Yzerman, Hull, Bucyk, Lafleur, Orr and the others greats built...

If you increase the size of the goal, every goal scored from that point on gets an asterisk next to it...

Then they were talking about switching the game completely and going to 4 on 4 or possibly 3 on 3 full-time...What the fuck!?!  First of all the 3 on 3 overtime sucks...It's bullshit...It's a totally different game then what got the two teams to that tie...Fucking garbage...And the goalies get hung out to dry, so how is it any better then a fucking shootout!?!

What all these dip-shits don't think about is that goalies are constantly working on their game...They follow the changes in the game and adjust their game...They use technology to study shooters...To study angles and positioning...Goalies today play a more disciplined, positional style, instead of being reactionary and working just of instincts...

Could all this dolts trying to screw with goalies to increase scoring, realize that right now, the NHL has some great, amazing goaltenders...If you look at the NHL, and say the top 10 players right now...The elite...2 are goalies...at least 4 in the top 20...

How about this...Instead of fucking with goalies...Get on the skaters case...Tell them to work as hard in the off-season as Carey Price and Henrik Lundqvist do...Hell, I'd like to hear a goalie step up and say...'Hey, you want more scoring, get better...Get the puck past me!'

I get it...The NHL brass is lazy...They want to promote scoring to the non-fans and the youth, to try and grow the game...Try promoting the great defense and great goalies...Goalies that will single handedly carry their team to a victory on any given night...Let alone how they carry their team during the playoffs when offensive numbers always drop drastically...

Quit fucking with the goalies...

Well, we may as well address the elephant in the room...What happened in France makes so much of our everyday life seem so very pointless...I really don't want to go into a big political tirade, but it seems hard not to...Many people (U.S. citizens and from many other countries as well) are calling for the U.S. to jump in and kick ass...That's always been a macho mentality much of this country has...And I have often felt that same feeling...But I would like the non-U.S. citizens to take a look at themselves...Especially those in the Middle East...Especially those "moderate" and "liberal" Muslims we often hear about when Extremists pull shit like this....We always hear, "not all Muslims are terrorists"..."Not all people of Islamic faith believe in killing innocent people"...I'm asking...Fuck that....I'm telling...You really want us to believe that horse shit, step the fuck up and fix your religion's problems...Fix your region's problems...Otherwise, you're all just full of shit, and silently believe in what these fucks are doing...Or you're a fucking coward...Either way I have no use for you...

Now some cunt, on some United States college campus is going to call me Islamophobic...Yeah, so!  I have been given no fucking reason on this Earth not to be...And I'm a pretty liberal fucking guy...Call me what you want, but I'm fucking right, and you're fucking wrong, you PC-College twats...

Yeah, I'm rolling right into that topic...Last week, the news was full of cry-baby college students who felt the President of a University's 1st priority should be cracking the whip on any random fuck-stick yelling random, not nice shit at people on campus....Grow the fuck up!  This is what happens when youth sports don't keep score and "everyone is a winner"....They all come out a bunch of pussies...After Missouri got their President to resign, other schools had students protesting their president for trumped up charges that weren't backed up by shit...

Listen you fuck-tards in Ithaca, and everywhere else, you visited the school...You made the choice to go there...You or more likely, daddy & mommy pay for you to go there, because that's what you wanted...Now all the sudden it's a horrible mean place, and you deserve to go there for free and never be offended....FUCK YOU and DIE!  Again I say, grow the fuck up!

Do you know what my college experience was like?  I worked a full-time job, and a part-time job, and managed to graduate in 5 years...I paid every cent on my own...My dad bought my books for one semester...That's it...Every other cent I paid...I owe no one shit...If college is so fucking mean, and hard, quit...Go get out in the work force and see what a fucking joy that is...Fucking cry-baby cunts!

And McDonalds workers....You fuckers want $15 per hour minimum wage...That should be the minimum wage for real restaurant workers...People who actually cook...People who actually learn about food....People who learn about wine and liquor and how give you a great dinning experience...You want $15 per hour to drop fries and push a button on a microwave...Eat my ass!  Try not fucking up my kids' order just one mother fucking time, and maybe we'll consider $11...Unfucking real how entitled people have become in this country...

That over-hyped, mouthy Ronda Rousey chick got knocked the fuck out Saturday night...I watched it via the Periscope app...Thank you to the dolts that waste their money ordering pay-per-view, and are so kind to pull out there phone and stream it for the rest of us...

Rousey looked like crap...Right out the gate she seemed totally off...Honestly, she looked slightly retarded....She didn't fight her normal fight, and that big blonde chick had her number...What a great boot to the jaw!

Other wise, I didn't pay much attention to sports...Just didn't really give a damn...Saturday the boy and i had some quality time, as we went to the ARt Museum, and then lunch...Saturday night the wife and I saw Jim Norton at the comedy club...He crushed it...And he shredded an older bitch that was sitting right up front, who was being loud as fuck...Talking loudly about her burger while he was doing his set...then about water she spilled...So, Jim Norton took about 10 minutes of his set to discuss what an annoying shithead she was...The place was roaring!
