Well, it's been awhile since we did this....

Have you seen "The Mandalorian?"  I gotta say, I was pretty annoyed when I found out about the new Disney+ streaming service...You know Disney, always doing whatever they can to make another buck...But being a Star Wars fan, and after seeing the trailer for "The Madalorian" I knew we had to get it...The kids are excited about being able to see classic Disney shows and then you have all the Marvel bullshit and all the Pixar stuff, so it's cool....But a Star Wars series that takes place 5 years after "Return of the Jedi" about a Manadolrian bounty hunter, that has a western vibe to it...I'm all in...

And it's so fucking Disney that they release it right before Christmas and boom,

I'll start by saying I hate the Steelers and living in PA makes me hate them more...Listen Browns fans...I get it, Rudolph was fighting too...You say he started it, but if you watched the video without your shit stained colored glasses, you'd see Garrett brought Rudolph down to the ground, well after he released the ball, and unnecessarily...So, he was salty...Then you say Rudolph kicked him in the balls...No he fucking didn't, he was getting bounced around on the ground by a guy bigger and stronger than him...He didn't kick, his body was being rag-dolled...

But no matter what happened, You don't bash a guy in the head with his helmet after you rip it off his head...Seriously, if you can't be on-board with that simple logic, you really, truly are a fucking asshole...There aren't many lines in football, but we should all agree that's the line...Drop the helmet and punch him in the mouth...Everyone would have been fine with that...

But wait, there's more....Now you dolts have started a petition to have Myles Garrett reinstated...You really think he shouldn't have been suspended? You really are fucking dummies...I have many friends that are Browns fans...If these words bother you, UNFRIEND ME, because you're being fucking ridiculous!


Next on my shit list.....All these fucking, fucktards saying that if what happened to Rudolph would have happened to Tom Brady 'the NFL would banned Garrett for life' or "taken the Cavs title away from Cleveland" or many other idiotic statements...You people are so clueless....

The NFL suspended Tom Brady for having air leaked out of footballs...for doctoring the balls, something every QB admittedly does...Aaron Rogers over inflates his...Eli Manning wrote an article the year before about how he doctors and under inflates balls, yet the NFL only went after Brady...these posts are such idiotic, bullshit....try actually knowing some factual shit...And Brady and The Patriots took the NFL to court where the courts ruled in Brady's favor....Goodell and big guns in the NFL have no love for Tom Brady...

Now onto Peter King and some of those other talking heads who love yapping about the NFL...these fuckers who talked about how what happened with Garrett and Rudolph has them thinking twice about letting their kids play football...

Did these idiots even watch the game...As fucked up and horrible as that incident was, it was only third worst hit to the head in that football game...For Christ's sake there was a guy wobbling off the field with blood rolling out of his ear...That shit didn't have you thinking, 'honey, lets not let junior sign-up for football, he may end up with permanent brain damage'?

As for my readers from way back, as I said, it's been awhile since posting one of these...And I always kept you up on the fam...The youngest is a 3rd grader...Our oldest is a senior in high school, while the boy always known as Little Beeze is a Freshman, both plugging their way through high school in this twisted age where everything is done through smart phones...A world run on "Social Media" but the people have less and less social skills....I love technology, but it's kinda fucking us and I find myself reminiscing of a simpler time....Like the 90's...Who would have thought that?

Today we are going to talk about football...The NFL to be specific...To be more specific, we are going to talk about a fan base that is overrun by idiots...I'm talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers...Generally I just try to ignore them...I grew up in Cleveland and in my lifetime, the Steelers have dominated the Browns and in general had a better run...Seriously, the last 30 years for the Browns has been fucking awful...

But if you come across one of these idiot Steelers fans, you'll quickly realize they have no clue when it comes to the history of the sport...If you ask them, nothing counted before 1970...They will hang their hats on the fact that their beloved team has more Super Bowl wins then any other team...6...For some reason they don't count NFL Championships...Maybe because they won nothing before 1970!

Steelers fans, you aren't the franchise with the most wins, most titles, or most championships....The Green Bay Packers have 13...The New York Giants have 8...The Chicago Bears have 9...The Patriots, Redskins, 49ers and Cowboys are on your heels with 5...Even the lowly Cleveland Browns have 4 as they were a power in the 1950's and 1960's...

But no one in the media or even in the NFL's ivory tower calls bullshit on the Steelers and their fans...Well, I'm here to say fuck you! Read the history...Stats and records are kept for reasons...One of those is to show the history of the sport...To keep a tally of the winners...To be able to reference the past...To be able to win trivia contests...Like who won the 1945 NFL Championship?

The Cleveland Rams beat the Washington Redskins 15-14 at Cleveland Municipal Stadium.....YES, the Cleveland Rams!

The history is also kept so I can say 'hey Shittsburgh, You aren't the best...As a matter of fact, you got a long way to go!

This weekend I did something I haven't done in a very long time...I spent some time alone and watched some NFL football....Guess what I learned...

I'll never do that again....All my feelings I've had over the last few years were confirmed...The NFL has become a bad product...The players, the majority that is, are fucking scumbags...The coaches are in over their heads...They can't control their overpaid children...And the fans are still fucking idiots...Be it the fucking assholes in Cincy throwing stuff at the field and Ben Rapistbuerger  and cheering his injury....Or the countless fuck-sticks in Minnesota shitting on Blair Walsh over his missed field goal...Did you see the steady stream Vines and Instagram videos, of fans going out in the cold and kicking a field goal, and then yelling at Walsh?

Hey cunts, life is a lot easier when you don't have a defense in front of you, and don't have 70,000 screaming fans around you....Oh, and it's also easier when you can hit delete and retry your kick you just missed...

Shit, let me stay on these Vikings cunts....You fucking assholes trashing the kicker, and holder...SHUT THE FUCK UP!  If your cunty team would have scored touchdowns instead of field goals all day, you would have won...If your cunty, child beating, self-proclaimed "greatest running back in the league" would have picked up more then 45 yards on the ground, and wouldn't have fumbled at a key point in the game, you would have won...Stop blaming the Special Teams when there is plenty of blame for your whole fucking team!

Many talking heads felt the refs were doing a good job of letting them play and not letting the bullshit get out of hand...Those people are wrong...The refs should have set the tone early if they didn't want any bullshit...Instead the slow boil began to rage late in the 4th quarter...

Listen Cincy fans, I get it...Porter is a piece of shit, antagonist, and as a "coach" shouldn't have been out on the field...But your guy, Pac-Man Jones pushed a ref...Right there, end  of discussion...If you don't think he deserves a flag, you are retarded...Then he cried on the sidelines realizing he had a big hand in losing this game for his team...Then he made a Vine video screaming about how the refs sucked and fucked them...Not wining any points at all Pac-Man...All this stemmed from Vontaze Burfict being called for a head shot on Antonio Brown....





 Then, today hePac-Man was on the Rich Eisen Show saying that Brown was faking, and that's why he was so mad....Really...He faked getting hit in the head...Sorry you stupid fucking cunt, there's no faking that...

A sinkhole opening up under that stadium and swallowing up everyone there would have been the best solution....

I'm still amazed guys like Jones and Burfict are still in the league, since the Goodell was going to be Mr. Law & Order...Oh yeah, that's right...He's a pussy when it comes to serious stuff....

I hate what the NFL has become...I am, officially, 100% done...My hope for the rest of the playoffs is that New England and Seattle meet again in the "Super Bowl" since those are two teams most people seem to hate...I hope the Patriots win...I hope Brady in the MVP...And when they stick the mic in his face I hope he tells Goodell to 'Eat my ass!'

You know what is a great sport?  Hockey...You know who made an awful trade last year...My New York Rangers, they traded top prospect Anthony Duclair for overrated D-man Keith Yandle....Look at this move Duclair pulled off this weekend...






That was sick....Kid made everyone look bad...Especially the Rangers!


There was also a big trade in Columbus...Sadly, I saw this coming back in OCTOBER ....Since the arrival of John Tortorella, rising 'Jackets star (C) Ryan Johansen has become a lump of shit...Bad turnovers...piss poor defensive play...all around, totally sucking...This, a year after a long, drawn-out, contract negotiation, that got him paid handsomely...The 'Jackets sent him to Nashville for rising star (D) Seth Jones...Nashville has tons of talent on the blueline and need a #1 Center which Johansen should be...Jones looks like he will be a top pair defenseman...this looks like it may be one of those win-win deals for both teams...

Sadly for Columbus, After the season Johansen had last year, they could have gotten a bigger haul if they moved him in the off-season...But I guess you never know when a guy is going to start acting like a lazy, cunty, piece of shit...

Which NFL Team has the Best Helmet

I was thinking about how awful the even more orange new Browns' helmets and new uniforms look...And I got to thinking about the other NFL helmets...I figured why not do a post about it...Our post about MLB LOGOS was a hit, and helmets are cool right...So, what's the best, current, NFL Helmet?

When I did the MLB Logos post, people commenting threw out their top five, so I'll go at this post using that method...

There are certain Helmets that are just iconic...The Dallas Cowboys pops in your head immediately...The Packers, the Bears...Those are old school....The classic look is almost always a good thing...The Steelers...It's a boring fucking logo, and it's only on one side of the helmet...But it's tradition, and you know what it is when you see it...Being a Clevelander, the Browns plain, boring, stupid orange helmet is another iconic, filled with football history helmet...But it doesn't make my list...Wasn't a huge fan of it, and they made it worse...

There is a part of me that wants to put the Washington Redskins in my top 5, just to piss off the overly sensitive gas-bags out there...But I'll be honest...It's a classic look, but it doesn't make my list...

 #5...The San Francisco 49ers...I don't like the team and their criminal players...But I like the gold (most be the Notre Dame fan in me)...I like the red...the black trim...the intertwined "SF"...I'll always dig a intertwined letter logo...

#4...The Houston Texans...Again, not so much a fan of the team...I like their coach Bill O'Brien's attitude...But since the teams birth, I've always liked their logo...And it's hard to go wrong with Red, White and Blue as your colors...

#3...The Seattle Seahawks...First off, it was a few years back when I was a free agent, that I signed my fandom to the Seahawks...So you kinda gotta like your teams gear right?  The logo isn't thrilling, but it's unique...I love the shade of blue, (again unique) with the grey/white, and that little hint of neon green...

#2...the Green Bay Packers...It's classic...My high school alma mater based it's logo and colors off of the Packers...And the Packers have always stayed true to it...They never tried to mix in black or chrome, like nearly every other team has...Why mess with success!?!

#1...The Buffalo Bills...

Again, it's hard to go wrong with Red, White and Blue...Going back to the White helmet as opposed to the Red, looks so much better...It's got a real old school vibe to it...I can't explain it more then that...I just like it...


...And to my numerous friend who are New England Patriot fans...If the Pats got rid of the screaming chicken looking Pat the Patriot, and went back to the old school...It would be the winner hands down...

So the NFL Draft kicked off Thursday night...As a Browns fan, I'm not thrilled...I'm not totally pissed, but not thrilled...Getting Trent Richardson was good, but trading 3 picks to move up one spot to get him was retarded...The Vikings boned the Browns with that...They weren't taking Richardson, and Other teams weren't throwing that much to move up a couple spots, let alone one...Then with the 22nd pick the Browns took their next starting QB...Their 17th since they returned in 1999...


Brandon Weeden...I think he'll be better then Colt McCoy, but based on what we've seen that isn't saying a lot...I mean McCoy, as you can see from that list above, was one of a long standing tradition of Browns QB's who were running for their lives, and had little talent around them...Weeden may have a better chance, but 22 was too high for a guy who is almost 30 years old...They could have got him at 37, and gotten the WR they need so badly at 22...

Oh, they got a WR...In the 4th round, they picked up a 5 foot 9 inch receiver, that everyone had a boner for...Are you shitting me...We don't need a midget slot receiver, we need a mother fucker who can go down field, and out jump DB's for balls...Oh, and actually catch balls!

At 37 they took California tackle Phillip Schwartz, who will play the right side...Good pick, they needed to fix that side of the line...Then they traded down from 67 to 87, picking up pick 120...At 87 they picked up the #2 DT from Cincinnati...WTF for! This is a guy they could have gotten in the 6th or 7th round...Fucking stupid...The later rounds was nothing sexy, or thrilling...A couple LB's and depth guys for the OL and DL...I'm not thrilled, but I guess these clowns could have done worse...

I wouldn't get into all the details, but looking at the recaps, I like what the Steelers did...Some smart picks, that will make their mini-rebuild easy...I'm not jumping ship, even though they have good looking fans...


Shit, look at this ugly bastard, having fun, just because his asshole team wins...



Oh, and for my blogging brothers, I finally found that pick of JDIN827 chomping on a bone...


Of all the idiotic picks that took place in the draft, there was none more retarded then the Saturday, when the Redskins after taking RG3 # 2overall, then took Michigan State QB Kurt Cousins...What a waste...These dopes traded away so many picks just to get up to #2, they can't afford to be burning another on a QB...But fuck'em...That's why they're the Redskins, and that's why they keep losing their division!

But enough of this draft bullshit!

-The last couple weeks, I had been getting myself ready for my transfer from The Fish House, to one of my company's Steak Houses...Well ain't this a bitch...They put me on the station that cooks all the fucking fish! 8 burners and a flat-top, cooking pastas, fish, chicken, and veal...And this fucking joint sells a bunch of fish at lunch...But I'm settling well, and the crew I'm working with is pretty cool, and has welcomed me with open arms...

-Saturday night the Mrs. and I went out for an early Italian dinner...Great little place right in our neighborhood...After some great food, a couple glasses of wine, and desert, we were feeling good...She was even a little frisky...Then we went to meet up with some old friends of mine for drinks...We had a great time...The Karaoke started, and we had to go...We wanted to stay, but the baby-sitter was starting to cost us a lot...

Sunday, the wife was feeling a bit tired, and well, she just can't hang like she use to...So I took the kids to a park for a couple hours...Molls was loving the swings, as usual!


After that we knocked out some yard work while the kids road their bikes...I had to chop the hell out of a hedge along the driveway, so I can get my new mini-van all the way in the back...Yep, I'm full blown Mr. Mom now, rocking the mini-van...

So Sunday was the BIG Game...It has a name that the league wants to charge everyone for using...What is that BIG Game called again? Oh yeah, "The Super Bowl"...Well like all major sporting events in this country, it all begins with a pre-game show filled with way too much hype...Then it gets going with the National Anthem...This year Christina Aguilera decided to show everyone how to completely butcher the song...Stupid fucking twat! She shuffled words, completely missed lines...What gash!

Then of course there was the Halftime show with the Black Eyed Peas...Wow did that suck...First the sound guy had the music too loud...Then Fergie's mic was down...Christ she' the only one who can sing in that merry band of ass-hats...Then Slash from Guns & Roses came out, and she sang a bit of "Sweet Child 'O Mine"...Too bad they just didn't let Slash stay out there and play guitar for the rest of the show...



Then we always have to hear about the Commercials...Here's some more over-hyped bullshit! I really don't bother with this crap, but it's what keeps my wife in the room...She got a kick out of this PEPSI_MAX one...

Oh, I guess there was also a game played too...But that's what the BIG Game has become...A holiday...Hell even The Fish House is closed for the BIG Game...Hours of pre-game...A bad Anthem...A bad Halftime show...Commercials...A big post game show...And a game thrown in the middle of all that...Sometimes good, sometimes bad...

This one wasn't bad...Some good Defense, and some good Offense...And Ben Rapelisburger throwing some picks! The Green Packers won it 31-25...Don't expect me to break this shit down like Ron Jaworski...I'm not watching tape...I was cooking, I was stuffing my face, and dealing with the the kids, and casually watching the game, like most people who don't have a true rooting interest in the game...I'm glad the Packers won...I just hope any young ladies who see Big Ben are safe...He may want to take his frustration out on some one...

Moving onto Hockey, the NHL has it's own version of Brett Favre...His name is Peter Forsberg...For what has to be the 5th time, he is going to make another comeback with the Colorado Avalanche...He likes to do it Roger Clemens style...You know, comeback after the all-star break, grab a bunch of cash, play half a season, and get his ego stroked...I hope he gets taken out in his first game back...I'm so sick of these guys...Now all he needs is some cock shots and steroid allegations...Fuck him!

Now, I have to do some pimping...First for my friend who teaches Yoga...She has put together a thing called "Rock_&_Roll_Yoga"...there m may actually be a way to get me to check out some Yoga...

The editor is being a real cunt right now...Actually both editors that I've tried...I'm getting pissed, and the wife is offering 1 of the 3 Blow Jobs she owes me...So fuck this I'm out of here...

Well it's time for Monday Moaning again...Honestly this week I don't have much more to say that already didn't cover in Wednesday and Friday's posts...But I have a little...

Last week I predicted the Packers would win the "Super Bowl"...Well, I'm changing my mind...After a week when all the Packers did was bitch about who was going to be in the team picture, and the more I thought about it...I'm going with Pittsburgh...Seriously, Rodgers is one James Harrison head shot away from being done...Tomlin is a great coach who doesn't get enough credit...And Big Ben the and his creepy, Shrek looking, I'm going to assault you face, have been there before, and the douche has a knack for making clutch plays...

We'll see if I change my mind again this week...

Sunday was the "Pro-Bowl"...Ignored it...Don't care...Could tell ya a thing about it...There was Golf...Ignored it...Don't care...Couldn't tell ya a thing about it...The X-Games have been on all week...I watched some of that crazy shit! I couldn't tell a thing about it, except those fuckers are crazy...

Then there was the NHL All-Star skills competition Saturday, and the All-Star game Sunday...There was also their fantasy draft Friday, which was kinda stupid, but I understand them trying to mix shit up a bit...

There were a couple highlights from the skills competition...First they had the fastest skater completion, that started with two defenseman going against each other, backwards...Then onto a couple forwards...Then they had goalies Cam Ward and Tim Thomas go against each other, and every one got a kick out of this...




Thomas handled the wipe-out pretty damn good...

Later in the show it was time for the Hardest shot, and big Zdeno Chara did not disappoint the fans as he topped his old record, and set a new record of 105.9 mph!

Then of course game the game Sunday, where nobody plays defense, and nobody checks and the goalies get hung out to dry..Team Lindstrom beat team Staal 11-10...For me, as a Rangers fan, and a goalie guy, the highlight was Rangers' goalie Henrik Lunqvist stoning Colorado's Matt Duchene on a penalty shot...A penalty shot setup by his team not playing defense, so when Duchene came in on a breakaway, and was past everyone, stupid ass Alex Ovechkin threw his stick to try and stop Duchene...God I hate that Commie...

That's it for now...I have to get myself mentally prepared to go back to the Fish House...The doubles I've been working on Saturdays can take a toll on you...That place gives me so many laughs, and at the same time, so much hate...It's amazing how fast you can go from liking a co-worker...Hell maybe you even want to fuck them, and the next thing you know, you want to choke the living shit out of them and masturbate on their tear fill face...Holy shit did I just type that...Fuck it, it's staying in!

Okay, I sit here writing this with the Steelers and Jets game on in the background, and it's looking like the Steelers are going to win...The Packers won the early game, but I have nothing for ya on that one...I slept through the whole game...I woke up this morning feeling like a lump of shit, and it didn't get better after 3 Motrin, and more sleep...What did this to me...Was it the Mexican food the wife and I had yesterday at Si Senor...I don't think so, it was petty damn tasty, and the wife was okay...Maybe it was the fart my wife ripped while she was giving me a blow job!


Who knows, but after sleeping through the Packers and bears game I'm feeling a bit better...I didn't expect the Bears to win...They needed to play a perfect game against a very good Packer defense, and a hot Packer offense...

It's late in the Steelers/Jets game...When it's over maybe I'll say something about it...But first, let me pimp something I'm doing on Fridays...I started it a few weeks ago, and I want let people know it's out there...I do my Monday Moaning...Wednesday I do the Hump Day Hits...Fridays I'm doing the FINGER_POP...Some quick blasts of things that are on my mind, and then some great asses to look at, and that could use a good finger pop!

Moving on from this football shit...The NHL "All-Star" Game is coming up in February, and if you didn't know, they have changed the format...AGAIN...Yes the NHL has tried to mix it up before, but this time, it's really different...

The NHL picked two Captains...Nicklas Linstrom from Detroit and Eric Staal from Carolina...They will draft their respective teams, instead of fan voting and all that other bullshit...The Alternate Captains have been added and will help with the selection process...Mike Green from Washington, and Ryan Kesler from Vancouver will be Staal's alternates...Patrick Kane from Chicago and Martin St.Louis from Tampa Bay will be Linstrom's alternates...

I'm really interested to see how this plays out...Will St.Louis push for his teammate Steven Stamkos...What if Kane's Teammates Patrick Sharp and Jonathan Toews are on the board then? Will Kesler push to get of the Sedin brothers on team Linstrom? Will Staal go after friend s from Thunder Bay, or his goalie in Carolina Cam Ward? What about his brothers? This could be something exciting for the NHL, but it could also end up a mess...I don't understand ditching the Eastern Conference vs. Western Conference format...We shall see...

Just saw on Twitter that fitness guru Jack Lalanne died at the age of 96...

It was great just to be nominated...But it's even better winning! Ha!

It was a busy week...Lets start with...

THE BEEZE'S CHRISTMAS UNWRAPPED...

After slinging some lunches out of The Fish House...I had a couple Christmas Ales...Went home, took the kids outside to spread some reindeer food...What you never heard of it...Just take some bird seed and some shiny sprinkles, mix them up, and let the kids throw them all over the yard so Santa's reindeer know where the hell to go...

Then I made some food for guests that were coming over...Then I cracked open a Christmas Ale...The kids and I checked the NORAD site repeatedly to see where the fat man was...I opened some more Christmas Ales...Got people out of my house...Got the kids to bed...Had a Christmas Ale...Then the wife and I did the big setup...From the looks of all the sh!t under the tree, we did our part for the economy, and now we'll be scraping by for the next couple months...Then I gave the Mrs. a pounding with my Yule Log...Got another Christmas Ale, and started working on putting together the bike we got for my daughter...

Not a bad job considering I was sh!t faced by the time I was done...

Christmas morning came quick...It started with the little Beeze saying, "Look I was on the nice list!" He had opened 5 presents before I even had my eyes completely open...It was insanity for about 30 minutes...Then the coffee was brewing and I was taking toys out of their packages...Do they really need to be strapped in the boxes that tightly...Do we really need to have 6 different sized screwdrivers for all the different battery hatches...Dear God! Then I took a nap...By noon I was no longer drunk, just hungover...Just in time to get ready to go to dinner...First year in 6 that I wasn't cooking, and I loved it!

The kids had a great Christmas...The wife was happy with all her gifts...I was happy with mine...Well, all except one...You may remember the wife and I have made a New Year's resolution to both lose weight...If I lose a certain amount, she promised to give up the holiest of holes! So what do I unwrap on Christmas morning? A deep fryer...Girl is trying cheat...But I won't be stopped!

Now, onto the Cleveland Browns...They gave their fans a nice present for Christmas...Mike Holmgren...This may be the best move they've made since their return...There's been a lot of talk about Holmgren giving Eric Mangini the boot...I haven't been Mangina's biggest supporter, but I think it may be a bad move to bounce him after only one year here...It's not like he walked into a team full of talent...And in the last month the Browns defense has shown some balls...The other big factor is we all should have known it would take some time to turn things around...Mangini set the team up with 11 picks in the upcoming draft...He knew this pile of crap needed depth, and like all coaches he wants his type of players...It may not be popular, by I think he should get a second year...Besides that, do the Browns really need another ex-coach on the payroll...I believe they're still paying two other dolts!

Other NFL news...the Steelers looked out of it just a couple weeks ago...Now all the sudden they're back in the Wild Card hunt...Way to sh!t the bed Ravens!

The Patriots seem to be hitting their playoff stride, as they beat the hell out of the Jaguars Sunday...

And is there any team that is more Jekyll & Hyde then the New York Giants...They've been all over the map this year...Couple good games...Bunch of bad games...Win here, lose there...They can't seem to get in a rhythm...I thought they might have found it last week, but then B-Dubs Panthers rolled into Giants Stadium and beat the living sh!t out of them...

And Mercury Morris and all his buddies can rest easy...The Colts called it quits on going for a perfect season...Why? I don't know...Hell, I don't care...F**k them! But who was that hack playing QB instead of Manning? What a slug!

The big news in College Football this week...Urban Meyer decided to step down as coach of the Florida Gators due to health concerns...Only to go Brett Favre two days later and say it's a leave of absence, and he'll be back...You know what...Whatever...I don't care...Do whatever you want, but don't keep calling the media every other day...I'm already sick of you Urban!

A bit of news on the little Beeze...Besides him making the nice list...We were informed Sunday evening that he would like to be an underwear model...Yep, he was striking poses and cracking his mother up...I gave him a 2 bits of advice...Stuff a sock in there...And start working on your abs...

Now, back to Christmas...I've always loved this time of year...If you celebrate Christmas...Don't stop...You see, I always would get down Christmas night...Because after all the fuss, it's all over so quickly...Well folks, there's 12 days of Christmas...Those days start on Christmas, and go to January 6th...Just thought I'd remind people Christmas wasn't always a commercial deal...It actually started as a religious thing...The 12 days took you from Christmas to the Feast of the Epiphany...Google that sh!t if you don't believe the dude who spent 12 years in Catholic prison...I mean school...

Monday Moaning

How's it going gang? Time for so more Monday Moaning...here's how the weekend started....It all began with a nice steady snow fall Friday afternoon, that carried on through Saturday night...Friday night I spent some quality time talking trash with my brother-in-law in Boston....The Cavs were playing the Celtics, and even though I don't really keep up on basketball, and I don't really care for LeBron, (that whole wearing a Yankees hat thing) I'll never pass on a chance to talk $h!t....

Next, Saturday started with some snow shoveling, so I could get to work...After work was more shoveling and playing with the kids in the snow...they love this crap...The evening was filled with watching Football, and Hockey...I can't believe the Cardinals beat the Panthers....And so convincingly...I knew the ex-Browns, I mean Ravens could handle their business against the Titans....they are looking hard....

Saturday night we found out our son is a bit of a freak like his old man...It was time to get ready for bed, and he wasn't listening to my wife....Now 99% of the time I'm the "bad cop", beacause he just laughs at her...Well she starts getting mad and tries to be the "bad cop"...."Tomas if you don't start listening I'm gonna spank you!"...Now for the record she doesn't spank...he knows this...So what does he do....He turns around, bends over, and says...."spank me, spank me, spank me hard." I couldn't stop laughing...My wife was in tears she was laughing so hard....Although ther could have been a little sadness there too...Now that she realized her son is a perv like his old man....

On the Hockey front, there's something that's been bothering for awhile now....each week I watch Hockey Night in Canada...I'm not Canadian, but from what I know, it was always a big deal for our neighbors to the north...But what's bugging me is that 99% of the time, the Prime-time game is a Maple Leafs game...There's other teams in Canada fellas, try spreading the love around...By the way, the Leafs aren't that good...Please stop cramming them down our throats....

My beloved New York Rangers lost Friday in a shoot out against Buffalo...Saturday they came back strong and blanked the Ottawa Senators....






Then Sunday came, and so did I....Oh sorry...More fun out in the snow with the monsters...My son hasn't figured out how to snowball fight yet...He seems to like getting hit...He makes a very good target...My daughter was getting revenge finally for all the crap he gives her...He took one in the face, that gave him a shiner and he was just laughing....The kid is insane...

After that it was time for more football....The Eagles got it done again, and I know I shouldn't but, I'm saying they're going to the "Super Bowl"...I'm so glad the Giants lost....I can't stand Eli Manning, or the whole Manning family for that matter....Then the Steelers knocked off the Chargers...They seemed to be firing on all cylinders today...Ravens vs Steelers next week....This is gonna be a good one folks.....

Next up, my favorite part...Notre Dame Hockey....This weekend the Fighting Irish took on the Nanooks from Alaska....

Friday the Irish won 2-0...The goal scorers were....Ryan Thang, and Senior, captain Erik Condra....Goalie Jordan Pearce made 16 saves to earn the shutout, and the victory.

Saturday night Pearce recorded his 4th shutout of the season, and 8th of his career on, as the Irish beat the Nanooks 3-0....The goal scores were...Christian Hanson, Ben Ryan, and Ryan Thang.

This weekends victories take the #1 ranked Irish to a 18-3-2 record....Next weekend Notre Dame travels to Lake Superior State for two games.

Why are Ther So Many Steelers Fans in Cleveland?

This was a question I was asked by a female friend, who most of the times asks stupid questions.....But this one was good, coming from this dolt. She asked this question after watching the last Browns, Steelers game in a Cleveland area bar with a group of friends....She was amazed by how many people were there cheering for the Steelers....I offered one theory, and other people made their own comments...Mostly stuff like "f**k those a$$h*les" and stuff like that....

I became more intrigued by this question, and wanted to find out a little more.

My first reason is simple...When the Browns left for Baltimore, Clevelanders had to make a choice....Who do I cheer for? If anyone at all? No way am I cheering for Modell and his f**king Ravens....I doubt many folks from Baltimore were thrilled at the idea of cheering for the Colts when they went to Indy.....So where do you turn....Look at the map....Pittsburgh or Buffalo are about the same distance away.....We could have stayed in state with the Bengals....But not me...My choice was to pay more attention to College Football...But I had friends who got on board with the Steelers...Sometimes your rival can also be your friend...These two towns weren't that much different from each other...So for some it just made sense.

But as I got into this more,I realized this went deeper....Back to before some of us were born....If you look at Pittsburgh now, in an economic sense it's doing much better than Cleveland....It wasn't always that way....I won't get into my hatred of the local politicians here...that's a whole other topic for another day....Anyway, When Pittsburgh, and really Southwestern PA were struggling economically, families moved where there was work....Mostly blue collar work...So they headed to Northeast Ohio....And they brought their love of the Steelers with them.

Here's a example from my own life...My Mother was born in Brownsville, Pennsylvania....My Grandfather worked in the coalmines....When the mines started closing up, the people started leaving, and heading to where the jobs were...Eventually My grandparents moved their family to the Cleveland area where my grandfather found a job....He always cheered for the Steelers, and made sure to bust my fathers balls about every Browns loss until the day he died.

So now there are multiple generations of Steelers fans in Ohio, because grandpa could leave his "Terrible Towel" back in Pennsyltucky.....Look out Pittsburgh...If things keep going the way they are, you're gonna get a wave of Browns fans moving into your neighborhood.

Quick side note....If you're ever in southwestern Pa, and you see a sign for Brownsville....Don't blink...You'll miss it....I think the population is down to about 72 people....So many of those little towns that helped build this country are gone now.
