So we're here again, staring down the barrel of another week...

Edit: The second after I finish writing this My old Grade School Friend who works for CBS News posted on Facebook and Twitter, that Osama Bin Laden is dead and the U.S. has his body...I have no other details but the rest of this post pales in comparison...


If you came to Monday Moaning looking for a draft recap, you came to the wrong place...The most you'll get from me on that is, Cam Newton will be another #1, Heisman winning, BUST...The Browns traded down to get more picks, and spent their first three picks on guys who have had some off the field troubles...So I'm not real thrilled with their moves...I watched day one, but I'm really sick of the hype over the draft, and it's really getting old to see these so-called experts like Mel Kiper, and Mike Mayock be consistently wrong...

Last week I wrote abut the big sports news in Cleveland, and how this towns PRIORITIES are really screwed up...I also gave Lady_Gaga a solid beating...

This week I'm starting with the self proclaimed, "World Wide Leader in Sports." Yes, ESPN...THE place to go for all your sports news...Except if you don't have a contract with them...Then they may not show shit on your sport...You see, last week the Vancouver Canucks and Chicago Blackhawks went into game 7 of their series...The Canucks had been up 3-0 and the Blackhawks game back and tied it up 3-3...Then game 7 came and it was an incredible game, that of course went to over time, thanks to an amazing, short-handed, late 3rd period goal by Jonathan Toews...




The Canucks went on to win in OT...It was everything that makes playoff hockey great, and ESPN didn't lead Sports Center...It was pushed down in the telecast, as Hockey always is...There was no bigger or more exciting sporting event going on last Tuesday night, yet ESPN found shit to talk about before this game...Fuck that place!

Now, here's an update on the Little Beeze's condition...If you don't recall, last week he was shitting blue...Well finally Friday we got the word...He said, "Mom, good news, my poop is no longer blue." Guess those food coloring tablets take almost a week to run their course...

So that was reason to celebrate, so Saturday night the Mrs. and I headed out for some drinks and burgers...When we got to the bar we were informed they close the kitchen at 8PM now...This is totally retarded...So we drank, and waited for our friends Bryan and May, knocked back a couple more and headed to another joint, where I knew the kitchen would be open...There was a band playing, and Bryan and I were cool with this place...But suddenly the skirts weren't liking this, and wanted to go some where a bit classier...

So we hit walked into this little Bistro down the street...Suddenly our cheap night out got expensive, after more drinks, apps, and entrees...Don't get me wrong...The food was great...I had Braised Short Rib with Grits...Yes grits...They aren't just for the south...And when done right, they are awesome...And these were...The wife had the Goat Cheese and Cracked Black Pepper Raviolis with Mushroom Ragu...May had the Rack of Lamb, and Bryan had the Beef Tenderloin...There were no complaints...The ladies were happy and so was I as I drove home with her head in my lap...

Sunday we took in a movie...It should be up for Movie of the Year, but it didn't get a wide release...True story, about a true Cleveland crime legend...




If you're looking for more sports you won't be getting it...

For the last couple of weeks I've been harping on the fact that so many Americans, and really people around the world, have been so obsessed with the Royal Wedding...Yes, it happened Friday...It's over...But that doesn't change my feeling on how stupid people are...Look at this map...




This map shows the territories that were or are under British rule at one time...The Royal family made it's fortune stealing from people...Rape, Pillage and Plunder was their business...Before the New York Yankees, they were the Evil Empire...The problems of places like India, Pakistan, Scotland, and Ireland, just to name a few can be laid directly at the feet of England, and it's beloved Royal Family...

They're all so proud that William married a "commoner"...Yeah, because so much of the Royal family's property was stolen from "commoners." William and Harry seem like decent guys, but they come from a long line of fucking assholes...

And England, aren't bothered by the fact that your country is having financial troubles just like the U.S. with a huge deficit, yet the Royal family throws around money they never earned, to put on this big display of look at us!

Seriously, these people are assholes...There's a reason why we had a thing called the Revolutionary War! Maybe I have it worded this well...Maybe some else can do better...

Monday Moaning

I hope all had a happy Easter...Or if that isn't your thing, I hope you had a good weekend...Mine was alright...But before I get to that...Let me pimp something I started Friday...The first of a series that I call IGNORANCE_WAS_BLISS...

So let me hang my head first...My New York Rangers lost their series to the Washington Capitals Saturday...They played hard...They gave the Capitals every thing thy had...But sadly, they didn't have much scoring...Goalie Henrik Lundqvist did all he could, as he has all year...Oh, and he got snubbed for a Vezina nomination...But I like the Rangers' future...They have stopped bying big-name players, and started drafting well, and developing well...Their blue line is stocked with talent...And guys like Dubinsky, Callahan, and Anisimov give them a nice core...Plus guys like Boyle and Prust, 4th liners before, have show they can play like second and on special teams...I have high hopes for next season...

Right now I'm rooting hard for the Chicago Blackhawks, after the crap CANUCKS fans pulled...It's a must win for the 'Hawks...I'll let you know what happens...(2-2 in second intermission) If the 'Hawks don't win it, then I'm pulling for whoever is playing the Canucks, and there overrated goalie Roberto Luongo...

Canucks fans weren't the only people talking trash lately...The Habs and Bruins have been going at it hard...Canadiens fans weren't happy about Andrew Ference flipping them the bird...




Then Saturday night injured Canadiens player Max Pacioretty talked some smack via Twitter about Brad Marchand, which got the Bruins fans talking shit about Pacioretty's broken neck and concussion...WOW! All this social media has made us all so much more classy!

But enough Hockey for now...Sunday morning I was awakened by the sound of two kids searching for Easter baskets...Oh the joy of kids finding candy, and toys...Yes, we give them a couple of small toys, and less candy...After the dental hell we went through with our oldest, fuck the candy, go play!

In the afternoon, the Little Beeze and I were heading to the Cleveland Museum of Natural History...He loves that joint...Before we left he dropped a deuce...To everyone's surprise, his shit was totally, and completely blue...Seriously blue...He didn't feel sick...Nothing hurt...Just some blue logs...Then I saw that the wife had left a couple of the tablets for coloring eggs, out on the table...She said one was missing...How much you want to bet it was blue, and the little dolt thought it was candy!?!

So to the Museum we went....Here's a tip...Go on Easter! Place was almost empty...Hell, they didn't even charge us for the parking...Here he is with Triceratops...

Last week I wrote about my disgust over how the American media has been gushing over the upcoming Royal Wedding...It's gotten worse...All the morning shows are talking about it...The Nightly News is spending at least 10 minutes on it...Every network is sending shit-tons of staff to cover it...My Mother-in-law showed up today to visit for the week, and said she was getting up at 4:00AM Friday to watch this horse shit...

Seriously America, what is wrong with you? Why? Why? are you so obsessed with powerless, figureheads, from the country that or forefathers fled from? ANSWER ME!?!

Before I go, I thought I'd give you a quality, Easter Hockey Fight...Evgeny Artuykhin ain't taking anyone's shit apparently...



And, the Blackhawks just won 4-3 in overtime...They have beaten the Canucks in 3 straight games...Unreal how the Canucks are folding...Tune into Versus on Tuesday night around 9 and see the 'Hawks take 4 in a row, and knock the Canucks and that hack Luongo out!

Monday Moaning

So here I sit, late Sunday night and wondering what to write about...First let me start with linking an outburst I had last week, in case you missed IT...

What else happened? The Mrs. and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary...We had a great dinner at the Fish House since that's where this whole thing began...The took great care of us, really hooked us up...Christ, they should have since I've spent 15 years working for them...

Then there was the Hockey...Yes, the NHL playoffs have not been going as well as I would have liked...Mainly since the Rangers are down 2-1...They squeaked out their first win Sunday afternoon...The big problem is the same one they've had all year...They are struggling to score...They're also really missing Ryan Callahan...Kid played on the Penalty Kill, the Power Play, and they couldn't get his regular shift out there enough...Callahan was injured at the end of the season, blocking a shot...One of the probably 200 he blocked all year...

Chris Drury is back from injury, but he's covered in rust...Gaborik who has battled injuries all year, and his whole career has had tons of ice time, with little to show for it...Goalie Henrik Lundqvist has spent all year caring the team, and he's going to have to do it through the playoffs if the Rangers are going to go anywhere...

The Bruins have not looked like the same team they did during the regular season, and the Habs are loving it...I was thinking the Chicago Blackwawks could really shake up the experts and knock-off the Canucks, but that doesn't look like it's going to happen, as Vancouver is up 3-0...

Moving on, Baseball season is in full swing now...We're a couple of weeks in and the monotony is already setting in...I know people love Baseball and Hell I do, but the season seems too long for me...Thankfully there is Fantasy Baseball, which helps me stay focused...I know people think I should be fired up about Baseball since the Indians are doing so well, but I'm not sold...It's early, and I don't thing the young rotation will be able to keep tearing it up like this...Plus I really hate those red hats they wear at home on weekends...Not to sound like a gay fashion guy, but they just look bad!

Oh, and on the topic of Baseball...There was that awful incident with the Giants fan getting beat down by Dodger fans...First, Just another reason to hate LA...Second, Now teams are getting rid of there half-priced beer nights, and are talking about cutting back beer sales...Fuck that for a couple reasons...1. Once again, the many are being punished because of the acts of a few...2. I don't know if you've noticed but there have been a lot of empty seats in the Baseball Stadiums this year...Even places like Wrigley...These teams need to do whatever they can to get people to show up, and cheap beer works...And cheap is a relative term....They over-charge so much for beer, that even half-price isn't that great!

You know, some things aren't the fault of booze...They're simply the fault of stupid fucking idiots!

Some thing else I need to get off my chest..."The Royal Wedding" Fuck this shit...Fuck the Prince, and this skirt he's banging...Most importantly, fuck the media that has been building this shit up for the last two months...Why is there a story about this on the evening news, in the United States, every fucking night...

These twats aren't our powerless, figureheads...They belong to England, yet the U.S. media just keeps cramming this shit down our throats...And then of course there are the mindless Americans that actually care...They act like this wedding, this marriage, is going to do something amazing to the world...It's not dummies...It's not going to bring world peace...It won't fix the economy, here or world wide...It won't save Japan from breaking into a million Nuclear reactive pieces...It has no meaning or long-term affect on anything, except for the lives of these two dopes who are getting hitched...

Oh, please talking head, news reporter, please list the guest list snubs...My day won't be complete until I know which waste of sperm isn't invited to the shindig...Sweet Jesus, please do another story on how the Bride's life will change once she marries the Prince! Here, I'll knock it out real quick for ya...Bitch is gonna be rich as fuck, and not have to work for anything for the rest of her life! Done...

Why the fuck is America so enamored by the country our Forefathers fled from?
