Monday Moaning

I'm still wondering why so many people waste time in March watching basketball, when there is perfectly good Hockey to checkout!

Seriously, how many of you have a bracket that is totally screwed?  'Well everyone's is screwed so I got a chance still!' 

No you don't! You don't have a chance at all, because some little prick's dad let him do one, and he's got a damn near perfect bracket so far...It happens every year, everywhere...Just tap out now!

You could have been watching the NHL as team fight for playoff positions...Or you could be getting into a different NCAA tourney...The Hockey tourney! This weekend the conference tournaments finished up, and the NCAA Hockey bracket is set...

In the Midwest we have 1. Minnesota State vs.  4. RIT and 2. Nebraska-Omaha vs. 3. Harvard...

In the Northeast is 1. Boston University vs. 4. Yale and 2. Minnesota-Duluth vs. 3.Minnesota...

In the East 1. Miami (Ohio) vs. 4. Providence and 2. Denver vs. 3. Boston College...

and in the West is 1. North Dakota vs. Quinnipiac and 2. Michigan Tech vs. 3.St. Cloud State...

Honestly, I really like Boston U. but after the roll Yale, either one of those Minnesota's is gonna be tough...North Dakota is one you always have to respect, but Michigan Tech has been really hot late in the season...Minnesota State has the easiest road...In the East, Miami is hot, Providence has an elite goalie, Denver is strong, and BC is BC...Flip a coin there!

It should be a funny tourney...The DVR will be working hard this weekend!

-On the home front Finnegan was needing a serious grooming...When I made the appointment they told me the regular lady was on maternity leave, so it would be some one else...I said that it was fine, because he doesn't like it no matter who it is...She always complains about how tough he is...Well, the Mrs. dropped him off and told the girl, you'll want to restrain him, or muzzle him, because he fights....Yeah, well, he managed to bite her three times through the muzzle, and drew blood...They called us, and said, "Pick up Finnegan, he looks silly, no charge." My wife handled it, because I was getting annoyed/angry at the woman on the phone...So here is the little asshole...Looking like a fool...

Saturday evening our oldest daughter was punished for getting a couple grades this quarter that are way below what she can do/has done...(Getting a little too distracted by fucking asshole boys!) SO she had to babysit the other two while the Mrs. and I went to a gem of an area in Cleveland known as Little Italy...We had a couple drinks, a nice dinner, and a great dessert...Everything there is a damn landmark, and reminds you of that time long forgotten when little tightknit neighborhoods like this were everywhere...

I laid in bed that night thinking about how this Irish-Hungarian-Croatian boy would love to own a property down there and bang out some bad-ass Italian food with these folks...Then the greatest idea popped in my head...Slap in an old school Irish Pub right in their little Italian haven...With (good tasting, it's possible) authentic Irish food...Lamb stew, Boxty and Bangers, Sheppard Pie, Boil Dinner, some Salmon that will make you moist...All kinds of good shit...Something tells me there would be a hit put out on me in about 5 seconds! But what the hell, a guy can dream!

-In who give a shit news, The Cleveland Browns are in the running to be the next team featured on HBO's Hard Knocks...I'm sitting here thinking, who the fuck cares?  Who would want to watch this mess?  Oh yeah, just about everyone, because everyone has to watch a train-wreck!  We say we don't want to see the awful carnage, but who are we kidding, Americans love disaster movies, and in over their heads owners, who are constantly under federal investigation, sitting there telling the clueless GM to text personnel and play calls to the OC during the game...

Seriously, the whole world could finally see just what a mess it is, and why Clevelanders are so fucking miserable...The Browns haven't signed much this off season, but this is one deal they have to sign!

I'm a Changed Man

 All my life, I didn't like animals...I was nervous around dogs, allergic to cats, and couldn't give a shit about the idea of having pets...Then, still in my younger years, I was given two Zebra Finches as a present...Frankie and Annette...They were birds...You couldn't do shit with them...If they got out of their cage, they would be stupid and fly into a window...So they stayed in their big-ass cage and made noise...Then Annette had eggs...She eventually chucked them out of the nest...(Warning)...Then one morning I was devastated to find Frankie head down in their food tray...I suspected Murder...She was a bitch...He was buried in a small box next to my parent garage...

We replaced him with Freddie, because Zebra Finches die quickly without companionship...It was just months when We found Freddie dead...That Bitch! Freddie ended up in his own box, next to the garage...When Annette finally dies a couple months later, she went in the garbage can...

After that I was done with pets...

Then a girlfriend I had for many years got me a fish...She was away at college, I was working a full time job, a part time job, and going to college...Oh, and drinking in every free second I had...I think the fish was her attempt to get me to go home at night instead drinking and looking at every piece of strange alive...Didn't work!  I hated that fish...All the misery I felt about our relationship, I saw in that fish...I didn't kill him...But I didn't make an effort to pay attention to him, so that he would live...

Hey, I can admit being a shithead, no need to judge!

NO PETS!  That was a my rule, for the rest of my life...And I often shit on friends who would talk so lovingly about their pets...Didn't Russ...I was a total dick to Russ about how he felt about his dog...I didn't get it, and I didn't want to get it...Just a closed off, cold hearted dickhead!

Then I had kids...My oldest had been asking for a dog for 5 years...Then the boy chimed in...Then little Molly...And she has me wrapped around her finger, so I was screwed...And the wife, a lifelong dog-lover saw her chance to break down the wall...A friend of a friend's two dogs just had a puppies...So I agreed we would go see the puppies and talk about it...

This is Finnegan almost a year ago...He was born July 30th and I can't believe it's almost been a year...Finnegan was the runt of the litter...He had two sisters...So Tommy and I pushed for him before we even got there, just to get another male in the house...Finnegan was born with  a cleft nose and lip, but we had to let him get a bit older to see the full extent of it, and then get it repaired...He also had a slight cleft pallet...We would have to get it repair, because it would all lead to health issues...

He was so tiny, and even though he was the runt, he was the first to run, bark, and eat solid food...As soon as I held the tiny guy, I had decided we were getting him...His sisters didn't stand a chance...And Tommy and I decided on his name before we even agreed to the buy him...We would have to leave him there with his mother for a couple more weeks...But the owners started calling him Finnegan that night...Why did I choose that name...That's what I was going to name my next son, but we are NOT having another kid, so he was my dude...

The day we brought him home, he was the kids puppy...But that night, when everyone was asleep, he became mine...He became, scared (I think) and sad...He was away from his parents and his sisters, and couldn't sleep...He whimpered and whined and only slept in short intervals...I stayed up pretty much all night with him...He snuggled on my feet as I dozed in the chair...the second night was similar...The first couple weeks I slept on the couch next to his bed...often my arm reaching don to pet him under his chin...That's his spot...

After his two surgeries I slept with, keeping an eye to make sure he didn't rip out stitches, and knowing the cone was driving him nuts...

He waits in my chair for me to get home from work...He immediately hits his back to have me rub his belly and chin...Then we'll play with one of his toys for a bit...Then he'll some of whatever I grab to snack on...We got him for the kids, (and my wife)...But he's my puppy!

I've seen friends and family lose pets, and I understood the sadness, but honestly, probably not fully...I think I get it now...Saturday Finnegan was stung by a bee in the paw...We didn't know it, we just saw him not walking on it...And biting at us when we tried to see the red, inflamed spot on his paw...I reacted much like I did when my kids are hurt...We got in the car right away and went to the pet ER...They got it out, and took good care of him...

Friday I took him to get groomed and trimmed...He was very knotty...He hates getting brushed...They trimmed him way down...Pretty much shaved almost all the way down...He's not pleased with it, but his hair grows fast...Finnegan sleeps in our bed, at my feet every night...In the morning he gets up with my wife and goes to my chair, and gets it warmed up for me...But Sunday night he wasn't at my feet, he was snuggled right up in the crook of my arm...He seemed cold thanks to the lack of hair, and I think the medicine they gave him after the bee sting may have made him feel like shit...His gas has been awful! It was long ago I said I didn't want him in the bed...I didn't want him licking me...Now here I am, him sleeping in my arm like my kids use to, in a blanket, licking my cheek...

This family has broken down my cold, hard wall...They've ruin me...I love this little shit Finnegan, and my days would be missing something if he wasn't in them...

Finnegan this weekend...Almost a year...Crazy!

Monday Moaning

So this past week started with taking Molly to  Dentist...We'll be dropping even more money into repairs to her baby teeth...The teeth grinding she does has done more damage...It seems her bottom teeth kick her upper teeth's ass...10 upper teeth need repairs...She has ground the enamel away and weakened them seriously...Can't wait for that fun in January!

After the dentist office Monday morning, we had a great day together...It was just great having some quality, one on one time...Oh, with Finnegan the puppy in the mix...Damn dog kept stealing her hash browns!

Wednesday He was dropped off at the Vet's to get his Cleft lip/nose/pallet fixed...He also got his nuts chopped...We picked him up after 5 in the evening...And the poor guy is stuck in a cone until Tuesday, to make sure he doesn't rip out his stitches...

He hates that fucking cone...Been at war with it all weekend!

The rest of the week was crazy...Just a blur...By Friday evening my ass was dragging...Just in time to get up another Saturday morning before 7:00AM to take my oldest daughter 45 minutes away to her Honor band rehearsal...Followed by morning concert...Then back there again for the evening concert...Then the snow started falling...Of course! 

-I had little time for college football...But I did get to enjoy the UCLA / ASU game...The PAC-12 is for real people...Lots of good talent, lots of good teams...Unlike the Big-10...And yes, unlike the SEC that actually has just a few good teams...

Hey Florida how does losing to Georgia Southern taste!?! Georgia Southern won 26-20...They completed zero passes for zero yards, yet they racked up 429 yards on the Gators defense...Florida, you gave up 429 yards to Georgia Southern, a team that can't pass...That didn't pass...You knew they were going to run the ball, and you gave up 429 yards...They should just burn "The Swamp" to the ground...Fire everyone...Take away all the scholarships...That is the definition of sucks!

-Now let me move onto rankings...We all know college football has some serious flaws...None more then the whole ranking system...I'm a die-hard Notre Dame fan, so let me use the Irish for this example...

Notre Dame isn't even ranked, yet they beat USC, ASU, and Mich State, all ranked well ahead of them...They lost to ranked Oklahoma...They lost to Pitt (horrible loss)...They lost to then ranked 17 rival Michigan...Yes, Michigan fell apart after that game...They really suck!   And watching every game, I can say this, ND could have beaten Pitt, Michigan, and Oklahoma...If played again, they could take MSU again, but it would be tight, as usual...They could Take USC again...ASU would take them...

Notre Dame is just one of many examples that prove the theory of, on any given day, any team can beat another...Which makes pre-season rankings idiotic because until two teams take the field you really have no idea what you are getting...Even with a so-called playoff, you still have to have a system to rank teams...But it's clear the current formula is crap...Michigan State plays great defense...But they also play a weak-ass Big-10 schedule...Ohio State is undefeated and has hung around the top 4 all year...But their Big-10 schedule, combined with their non-conference schedule is an embarrassment...

I have already lost any passion for the NFL...Now I find myself the most frustrated I have ever been with College Football...And I have always loved Saturdays in the Fall...

-Let me change gears to a bit of Hockey...We have heard and talked a ton about head shots, and brain injuries in Football...Now finally a hockey player is speaking up, and making a bit of noise about it...

New York Rangers winger, Rick Nash returned to the lineup this week after missing over a month from a concussion after a head shot...This one just months removed from a late season concussion last year...

“We’re all in this together.” Nash said...

“I understand how it happens,  the game is so fast, things happen quickly, and I know that I’ve had some hits that have been close calls, but we all have to take responsibility for changing some of the things we do out there." 

Nash continued...

"I understand that we don’t want to have huge suspensions for plays that are spontaneous and I’m OK with that, but the players as a group and the union have to take more responsibility for stopping these kinds of hits.  It’s up to the guys to have more respect for each other and our careers.”

“Headshots are a serious problem in the game. You see them all the time, something has to change.”

I have to agree, and I'm glad he said it...Yes, I'm a Rangers fan...And yes, I've always been a fan of Nash...But that has nothing to do with it...We have seen plenty of evidence of how concussions, and head trauma have affected football players...Hockey needs to realize they are looking down the same barrel...

Monday Moaning

         That looks like the right way to start the week...

I must start by apologizing...For the last couple weeks I have been an absent owner and contributor...There hasn't been any serious health factors, or major things going on in my life...I've just been in a funk...I have sat down to write, and I get there, and feel nothing...I have told myself, I have to write today, and hours later, I say, fuck it...I have been feeling a bit of depression, and I can't put a finger on why...The kids are good...The wife is good, and we are still bumping uglies on a regular basis...The puppy gets on  my nerves...Work is work...But when it comes to sports, I've been feeling 'whatever'...And writing, I've been feeling that too...So, I pulled away a bit...tried just not thinking about it...And then I went to write last week and my laptop was being a dick...just all frozen up....I took that as a sign...Took the week off...Check on few things via the phone, but just tried to get away from pressuring myself...I hope it worked....

 Last week, I watched the PBS documentary, "League of Denial"...I have to say, after watching this I want to boycott anything having to do with the NFL...These guys outright lied to players about concussions...The lied to the press...And they destroyed Doctors reputations, including the doctor who was the first to link football with CTE...Yes players do know the risks, but when the league is handing out booklets before the season that state "Concussions don't cause mental health damage" that is fucked up...Then you find out the NFL paid for a study that showed a link between head trauma, and CTE, and they sat on it for years...I was totally disgusted...This also backed up Mrs. Beeze's thoughts of not wanting Little Beeze to play Football, possibly Hockey...

But then a story broke late in the week, that was linked to the NFL, that really got me pissed...A two year old boy, fathered by Adrian Peterson died Friday, after being beaten by his mother's boyfriend, Joseph Robert Patterson (27)...This is just horrible...This guy needs to die...But it gets worse...A year ago Patterson was charged with abusing a 3 year old boy...1. How is he walking the streets?  2. Why is he alive at all? 

This is horrible...I feel awful that this happened to this little boy...But all of you people on the Internet need to stop jumping on the latest trends, and memes...Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, fucking everything has been flooded with pictures of a little boy with Adrian Peterson...Many have put angels wings on the little guy...That's sweet...Except the kid in that picture isn't dead...That kid is the boy Peterson acknowledges...This boy that died, Peterson denied being the father until a paternity test came back a few months ago...Up until then, he viewed this child as a prop being used to shake him down for cash...He had little, if any contact with this boy...One news story called the dead boy, "Peterson's SECRET son"...This is not to down play how awful the death of this boy is, just giving you trend-riders some truth behind the story...

And while I don't know Adrian Peterson, I do know the direction our society has been going, and I do know there is a good percentage of pro-athletes that just drop their cum all around and don't think about all the consequences...Just ask Cromartie with his 7 kids, 4 who are all the same age...




And now I find myself annoyed by those praising Adrian Peterson for being at practice, and praising him for playing Sunday...Why am I annoyed?  Because he shouldn't be praised for going to work...If some asshole looked at one of my kids the wrong way, I'm caving his fucking skull in...If some fucker lays his hands on one of my I'm taking my time killing him, and I'm live tweeting during it, taking suggestions for what to do next....Like I said, I don't know the guy, but I don't think he's that broken up about...I mean he refused this was his kid for over a year...Now he's off the books, and the media showing their love for him, for playing while dealing with this awful loss....

Yeah, I sound cold...I sound jaded...But it's hard not to be in this day and age...Call me an asshole, but I don't have any "SECRET" kids...I have 3 with my wife...I only fuck my wife...So, I may be an asshole, but I call it like I see it, and I don't follow the trends...

-In College Football there were some upsets in the top 25...But Michigan losing, shouldn't be called an upset if you've seen the rest of their games this year...They struggled with UConn for fucks sake!  Texas beat Oklahoma, saving Mack Brown just a little longer...(5) Stanford's hopes have been dashed after losing to Utah...OUCH!   Apparently (19) Northwestern left it all on the field in their loss to Ohio State, and got rolled by Wisconsin...(7) Georgia got worked by Missouri...But with all this, were the rankings really shaken up that much...NO, of course not...

-Hey Cleveland, shocker...No Hoyer...It's Weeden time again...

Get use to that stupid-ass losing face again Browns fans!  Losing to the Lions....Damn!

This has been a bit heavy and angry...So here, I'll give you a pic of the puppy...Finnegan is growing, and making me crazy...

WOW!

That's all you can say...This past week the Cleveland Browns traded Trent Richardson to the Colts...Cleveland fans were pissed, and rightfully so...HERE was my view the day after...Most Browns fans saw it as the organization throwing in the towel on the season...That tied with the fact that 3rd string QB Brian Hoyer was going to start this week's game...Then our pal Radatz posted THIS history of the Browns on Sunday...For those who are unaware of the highs and lows of the franchise, it's a great piece...

So after all this, what happened Sunday?  The Browns rolled into Minnesota, and found their way to a 31-27 victory...The team seemed to have an energy they lacked the first two weeks...A key piece of that spark on offense was the return of Josh Gordon from a two game suspension...Hoyer added another spark...While the Vikings did get three picks, Hoyer seemed to scan the field better then Weeden...And the most noticeable thing he did was get the ball out of his hand quickly...Quick decision making and quick release...Something Weeden hasn't shown...

That said, I'm not planning on seeing the Browns in the postseason...Part of this win falls on the Vikings Defense that has shown a knack to crumble in the fourth quarter...That and their offense has looked one-dimensional...Hoyer is probably not the long term answer, but he could be a nice stop-gap for the time being...Sunday's game may have helped Browns fans' mood...It may have helped people's view of the front office, but I suspect that will be short lived after next week, when in my opinion they'll lose to the Bengals...

-This week College Football was full of a lot of shit games...A week full of many of the big boys beating on smaller programs...People were raving in this neck of the woods about (4) Ohio State destroying FAMU 76-0...Well no offense to FAMU, but Ohio State should have destroyed them...(1) Alabama beat Colorado State 31-6...But don't let the score fool you...'Bama struggled...They didn't pull away until the fourth quarter...Heading into the 4th they were only up 17-6 and the Rams had shut them out in the 3rd quarter...

For the second week in a row, (15) Michigan nearly lost to a team they should have blown out...It wasn't until just under 5 minutes left in the game, that the Wolverines took a 24-21 lead...Did these guys shoot their load against Notre Dame, or are they simply playing down to their competition?

Speaking of (22) Notre Dame, they defeated rival Michigan State 17-13 in a sloppy, sloppy game...both teams didn't look that good...You could call it a defensive battle, and both D's did play well, but both teams racked up too many penalties...And Irish QB Tommy Rees showed too many flashes of his old self...Looking right at his primary target...Not scanning the field...Luckily, MSU's aggressive corners were too busy getting too physical with receivers, drawing penalties, instead of reading Rees' eyes...Sooner or later,  Rees is going to lose a game all on his own...He's just not that good...For 3 years I've been dying to see Andrew Hendrix get a real shot as  the starter...I don't think Coach Kelly has that in his plans unless Rees gets hurt, or full-out shits the bed, which he has done before...The road doesn't get any easier as (14) Oklahoma comes to South Bend this week...

-If you were looking for a shootout this weekend, your game was Friday night as Boise State and Fresno State got it on...I missed the first half...Friday evening I decided I needed to get away from this house for a bit...This new puppy shit added to the mix has been kicking my ass...For some reason, I'm the one this dog wakes up in the middle of the night...And I'm the one he wakes up at 5:30 AM everyday...Between the kids, and my role as Mr. Mom, along with work, mixing in the puppy, I was feeling frazzled...So, I went to a local bar and watched the Indians game and talked movies with some strangers...And I got a solid buzz on...

When I came home, (slice of cheese cake in hand to help stay out of the dog house) I popped on this game...I always enjoy watching both these teams...Sadly, I passed out in my chair...Luckily Finnegan the puppy started jumping on me and scratching my leg to wake me up at 3:30ish AM...The game was being replayed...So I took him to dump, then he ran around the house like a maniac, and threw  stuffed dog a hump be fore he laid back down...And I enjoyed watching Boise State coming back to take the lead with 7 minutes left, followed by Fresno State scoring the game tying TD and game winning extra point with 2 minutes left...41-40 Fresno State...

I ended up staying up until 8:30AM...Then I went to bed for a 3 hours before getting back to the grind...

So, since I mentioned the little mutt...I may a swell share this video I took this past week...And Older couple down the street have the same type of dog...The kids loved seeing it when they would walk him...This dog is what started the push for us to get one...He's a year old now, and has some size on our 6 week old Finnegan...And Finnegan missing playing with his sisters, and dad, was looking to get rough with another dog...This is just tiny bit of what was an hour of Finnegan acting tough...




The other dog, Jasper was actually afraid at first, but he finally realized he could easily knock Finn on his butt...And up until this interaction, we had only heard two tiny barks from Finn...The kids got quite a kick out of it...

Monday Moaning

 I'm gonna run down some college football action real quick, before I get to some so-called controversies that are annoying me...

Stuff like (23) Nebraska giving up 38 unanswered 2nd half points and getting smoked at home by (16) UCLA 41-21...Can we stop hearing about the tough "Black shirt" defense now...What a bunch of horse shit that has been for years...Even Nebraska star Alum Tommy Frazier has had enough, as he spoke after Saturday's loss, and wants heads to roll...

Or stuff like Akron nearly beating (11) Michigan in the "Big House"...Michigan got lucky with a 28-24 win...And Brady Hoke said his team wouldn't have a letdown after last week's win over the Irish...Yeah, no letdown there Brady!

Then there was Texas getting drilled at home by (25) Ole Miss 44-23...I guess shit-canning the Defensive Coordinator wasn't the answer down there?

Then there was my (21) Irish, playing Purdue...Purdue has sucked balls the first two weeks of the season, so this should have gotten the Irish on track...But in the first half, the offensive game plan looked like, 'Hey Rees just throw the ball to guys that are double and triple covered!'  The Irish were out skilled, out worked, and out muscled in the first half, and still they were only down 10-3...

In the second half they started getting their shit together on offense...The defense showed signs of toughness, but they were still disappointing...The secondary needs work, especially at safety...The two big guys up front, Nix and Tuitt haven't done much...Those two along with LB Price Shembo were expected to cause chaos for QB's, but between the three of them, they have one sack, and Shembo is being used in pass coverage far too much, which is not his strong suit...

As the offense started moving the ball there was one moment that stood out to me...Not Rees' long pass to Daniels as he walked the wire down the sideline for a TD...No, it was Running back Cam McDaniel getting his helmet blown off near the goal line, popping up, grabbing his helmet and bleeding out the side of his head...That was sweet, but it got better...Coach Kelly called a time out so they could duct tape McDaniel's head and get him right back on the field...Says a lot about the confidence they had in the two guys in front of him on the depth chart...McDaniel became the go to guy in the fourth quarter, and punched in a TD...

The Irish pulled out a 31-24 victory...A win is a win they say...No matter how ugly...But this win may have exposed more about this Notre Dame team, then the loss to Michigan did...

Then there was Saturday's prime-time game, not played in prime-time...(1) Alabama at (6) Texas A&M...The big rematch...The game that has been being hyped for almost a year...If you're a sports fan, you've seen the highlights...You don't need me to run it all down for ya...The only thing you need to take away from this blog, about this game, is this...For all the hype about the big, bad, tough, SEC...And all the hype about Nick Saban's coaching...and his defensive knowledge...What this game showed, is that is a bunch of bullshit!  Defense! Defense! Where? Both these teams left that shit in the locker room...And every time 'Bama had a chance to put A&M away...(in the words of John Madden) "BOOM!" here comes Johnny Autograph and company, scoring again...In the end, Alabama held on...Out scoring A&M 49-42...Now they both can go play the rest of their weak schedules, as both play Ole Miss and LSU, and a bunch of weak sisters...

But now to the controversy...#1...This sign flying down at LSU this past weekend...

Yes, Kent State went down south and got pounded by LSU 45-13...When I saw the sign, I'm not going to lie one bit...I laughed...I laughed hard, and loud...I laughed so hard it scared the shit out of our new puppy...But of course mother fuckers in this sorry ass PC world are crying...I'm sorry, but a joke about something that happened over 40 years ago doesn't fall in the "Too Soon" category for me...It shouldn't for anyone...

Yeah, back in 1970 four students were killed and nine injured by the National Guard...when they opened up on protesters...Thing is, at Kent read, Kent write, Kent State, they never talk about their excellent nursing program...Or their great theater program...They talk about this...

The other bullshit controversy...Fucking PC world....Mother fuckers want the Washington Redskins name changed...Hey, I'm not a fan of the 'Skins, but FUCK YOU!  Fucking FOX showed the protesters outside of the 'Skins game in Green Bay Sunday...Way to show up douchebags...Nice to see all 8 of you made it...Drop dead!  I see a couple of these clowns every year in Cleveland, trying to go after Chief Wahoo...And their case is better there, because Chief Wahoo looks like s stupid, drunk, smiling ear to ear, red faced, Indian...Total caricature...But I love the Chief, so piss off...

But this Redskins thing is bullshit...The logo is classy, and no one I have ever known has thought the name was racist...If it's such a big deal to these protesters, and the NFL, why aren't they going after the Kansas City Chiefs, who play at Arrowhead Stadium?  And Why aren't we talking to MLB about the Braves and the Indians?  'Skins owner, Dan Snyder has always seemed like  a rich douche, but I'm all in with him on this...Don't give in one damn bit Snyder!

I mentioned our new puppy...We brought little Finnegan home Friday...The kids are having a blast with him...And Mrs. Beeze is crazy about him...And yes, Molly has show a bit of jealousy about that...She just wants him to be her puppy...Friday night was rough, for me...The little guy was away from his mom, dad, and sisters for the first time...He wasn't sleeping well, and kept coming to me...I wasn't going all in like he was one of my kids...He wasn't going to end up sleeping in my arms...He did end up sleeping on  my feet as I sat in my chair...It was a long night, and a early morning...

Saturday night he slept better...Only needing my feet half the night, but waking me up at 5:30 AM to start the day wasn't cool...Both days the Wife sent me to bed when she and the kids got up...Both days I woke up around 11:30AM with Finn on my chest licking my face...Little shit just trying to keep me from cooking him...

I'm joking...I leave the cooking of dags and cats to the Chinese joint down the street!  (How's that for a tasteless joke!)

Monday Moaning

Now if you saw this at the Browns game, then you actually would have had a decent reason for all that wasted time and money...To steal from Ben Folds, Sunday the Browns opened their season at home against the Dolphins in "The Battle of who could care less." Although the Jets and Bucs seemed to have one of those going on too...

Living in Cleveland and being a sports fan sucks...You won't get the normal Cleveland whining from me though..."We're cursed"..."I'll never see a championship"..."Just one before I die"..."Art Modell and LeBron did this to us"..."Why did we trade ROCKY_COLAVITO?"...Fuck that...Grow up! 

The Browns suck because of years of bad management...The Expansion Browns were a rush job and everytime a new coach and/or GM come in, let alone owner, the process is started over again, because they all want to do it their way...Sundays in Cleveland were happier days when the Browns were gone...Clevelanders spent a lot less money on Sundays...Fans loyalty shifted solely to their fantasy players...Now you always have that one dope who;s gotta draft Browns...You go right ahead and draft Weeden and his 3 picks! Nothing like a second year QB who is a project, and he's about to turn 30...Just one of many problems that the Browns put on display Sunday...I will say the defense wasn't half bad...They shutdown the Dolphins ground game...Although that could be because the Dolphins don't have a ground game...

The Browns lost Sunday, and they looked bad doing it...I know Clevelanders hate this local boy for his negative views,  but since I gave up on being a loyal Cleveland sports fan, I've been a lot happier...Sunday I watched the whole Browns game...It was the first time I've watched a Browns game from start to finish in 2 years...I just wanted to see the direction this new coaching staff/GM/owner were going in...I wanted to see if there may be any progress...Looks like the same old shit...Maybe I'll see ya in another 2 years....Go Seahawks!

Sadly, Saturday evening sucked for us Notre Dame fans...The (#14) Irish fell to (#17) Michigan 41-30...So much for the Irish Defense being the unit to rely on...Not that the offense was stellar...One Irish TD came on a Stephon Tuitt interception in the end zone...

One point that needs to be made to coach Kelly and his offensive staff...Golson isn't there...Tommy Rees is your guy, but he can't throw on the run...So taking those fucking plays out of the game plan....Or play Hendrix who has a better arm, and can run, and can run and throw at the same time...Rees threw a INT late in the first half that was very costly...He was rolling left and attempted a throw he can't make...This is the shit that gets Rees in trouble...Coach, you want to stop screaming at the kid...Stop trying to get him to do shit he can't do...

I didn't expect the Irish to win this one...After week one, it seemed clear to me that Michigan was a better team...Then Kelly said stupid ass shit about how he didn't think Notre Dame vs. Michigan was that big of a rivalry...WTF! Where the fuck have you been...I've been to 4 ND/Michigan games...Shit is intense...By halftime I'm looking for a Michigan fan to skull fuck!  When he said that shit, I just knew it...Brady Hoke was gonna have his guys geared up...And look out Buckeyes...Hoke has got that program turned around...That Big-10 title isn't locked up yet...

There were other fans feeling low Saturday...(#15) Texas got fucking steam rolled by BYU, giving up 550 yards on the ground...The QB ran for 259...Hey Texas, the read option is here to stay...Time to get in some film study and tackling drills!

(#25) USC Trojans showed they don't deserve their ranking, losing at home to Washington State, 10-7...USC only scoring 7 points...Wow that is beautiful! The world's most overrated douchebag coach, Lane Kiffin looked clueless...As usual...He tried both his QB's because he just can't figure out which one sucks less...How many more chances is this dick-bag going to get...He fails and leaves programs in a mess, yet he keeps coming back...I hope USC keeps him for awhile so he can run that program into the ground for a long time...

(#12) Florida fell to Miami 21-16, turning the ball over 5 times...(#16) Oklahoma, like USC, grossly overrated, squeaked past West Virginia 16-7 in an ugly game...(#7) Texas A&M gave up 28 points and 240 rushing yards in their victory over Sam Houston State...Boy oh boy the rest of the SEC are going eat them up....

For the second game in a row, South Carolina star defensive end, Jadeveon Clowney didn't do much to live up to the Heisman hype that has been swirling around him...His (#6) Gamecocks fell to (#11) Georgia 41-30 in what was a must win for the Bulldogs after falling to Clemson last week...

In Beeze news, we're getting a puppy...The talk has gone on for awhile...I fought it for a few years...But the wife, and Molls broke me...We picked out a little fella when friend shad a litter recently...We've named him Finnegan...Finn for short...

 His got a little cleft lip, but it gives him some character...He's been healthy, and goes to the Vet this week for another check...And if the Vet gives the okay, we'll get him by the weekend...He's been the most active of the three puppies, and the first to eat solid food...He's little but tough...We went to see him Saturday...

Molls loves the him...Or as she put it..."Him my puppy, Finnegan loves me!"

Mrs. Beeze is all excited to buy stuff for the puppy...I swear to God she's more excited then the kids...That is until the first time he shits in her shoes...
