How was everyone's weekend...We had beautiful weather here in Cleveland...Yes, I said Cleveland...Unlike every hipster, and every company in this city's marketing department that has decided to call Cleveland "the #CLE"...Yeah, often with the fucking hashtag!  While I find it annoying, whatever...People are trying to feel better about this city and hype the positives...and no way are they showing the negatives like "Tent City"...

But back to this #CLE shit...I really hit my boiling point when I was watching my local 6:00 PM "News" on WKYC and the anchor never said Cleveland...He only would "the CLE"...When I say people are saying this I mean they are literally saying the individual letters C-L-E, like they are spelling it but just got too fucking lazy to finish with the V-E-L-A-N-D...You're a fucking news anchor...You are suppose to be giving me the news...You're not suppose to be a PR firm for the city...

I have given up on the 24 hour news channels to be legit news more so then entertainment...For Christ's sake CNN admitted that the best News coverage they brought the public about the earthquake in Nepal was from their "I Reporters"...Which means, viewers who pulled out their phones and started filming, and then CNN ripped it fromYouTube...And I've gotten use to these dolts talking about what's trending on twitter as if it's news...It's not, they're just lazy...But the local and Nightly News have started doing this too...

Listen Mr. News Man, if you think you are keeping up with the times, and reaching all demographics by telling us what's trending on Twitter, you've got a serious problem...People who seriously use twitter and other social media know what trending already...Shit, they're part of the reason why shit is trending...Then you have people like me...I use it...But I filter out the nonsense, so if #KimKardasianEatsCockBallsAndAss is trending, I pay it no attention...If #7000DeadInEarthquake is trending, I'll take a look at that...Then you have people like my Dad...He doesn't have Twitter...He doesn't have a computer, or tablet, or smart phone...He's as close to off the grid you can get in this day and age...He reads the newspaper every day...Yep, he's one of the handful left...He want to get the news when he watches the news, not some vest wearing douche saying "The CLE"... and not some prompter reading twat saying, "Trending today!"

I'm really saddened by the direction our media has gone...Hell, I'm pretty saddened by the direction our country as a whole has been going...

-Do we want to talk about Baltimore? Listen, I don't know what happened to that guy other then he died...I'm guessing that mistakes were made by the police, but I wasn't there, and I don't do there job, so I'm not going to try and play judge and jury here...I'm willing to wait for the full story to come out...But if people feel a wrong has been done, they have the right to speak up...They have the right to protest...The thing is, protest doesn't mean assault...It doesn't mean steal...It doesn't mean burn down stores, burn cars, destroy others property...The second a protest goes there, I stop caring about your cause...You lost your credibility...What injustice gives you the right to steal, destroy some one's place of work, destroy another's property?  Oh, and the assholes cutting fire hoses live on TV and the firefighters are trying to stop your neighborhood from burning, should be charged with attempted murder...Sorry, folks, when you act like a fucking asshole, I can't have your back...

But let me add this to the conversation.....

That's Molly playing at a park right by the kids' school...We were the only ones there...And sitting there the whole time was that police car just behind her...he is not parked in a spot on the lot...He is aimed right at the playground...I wondered, is he sleeping while my tax dollars pay him?  Is he just there doing some obnoxious paperwork he has to do after answering a call that was a complete waste of his time and our tax dollars? Is he having a late lunch wishing he was playing with his kid? But as time went on it got more uncomfortable...Is he creeping on my kid?  Is he thinking I'm a creep that snatched this kid?  Not that she looks like she is terrified of being there with me...What the fuck is this cop's problem?

That is exactly what went through my mind...I took this picture along with others, all of Molly with Johnny Law in the background...I texted them to my wife and asked her if I was nuts because this cop was creeping me out? She thought it was weird, but figured I had no reason to worry...I took one more picture...Not of Molly or any of the playground...Just him...Seconds later he left...I was relieved when he left, but even more bothered...

Bothered that he immediately pulled out when I snapped a picture...Bothered that a police presence made me uncomfortable...Bothered that I was relieved to not a police presence....I know police officers...The ones I know personally are great guys...I know this isn't just inside my head...Is it because the media only shows us when police screw up? Or not even when they don't screw up, it is skewed as if they did...Is this really where we are?

My one Uncle, a former Police Officer told me when I was young, never trust a cop...I always took that in sense of if I had done something wrong, don't trust them...Don't talk yourself into more trouble...I mean let's be honest, my family history has bootleggers and bookmakers in it, so not trusting police wasn't a surprising thing to hear...But I never thought I would feel unsafe because a cop was nearby...Again, I'm saddened by the road we are on...

-So should I mix in some sports now? Who watched the big fight? No way I was paying for that...1. I don't have $100 for a fight that should have happened 5 years ago...2. Why pay, or go to a crowded bar and pay for overpriced drinks, when you can download a free app, and watch it on your phone...Yep, an app called Periscope...People all over the world were streaming it off their TV's through their phones, for anyone else to watch for free...When it was over, I regretted wasting the time, but was happy that I wouldn't need a sleep aid...Just a totally boring fight...Yeah, yeah, yeah, you can tell me Mayweather out thought him...Whatever...He danced and didn't fight Pacquiao...He boxed not to lose, instead of boxing to win...In my book there was no winner, not even bastards like me who watched for free...All this fight proved was the sport of boxing dying a slow death...The fight everyone wanted for 5 years and that was intensely hyped for months, was a glorious letdown...And the sport has no stars on the horizon that will energize like the greats of yesterday...

-The Kentucky Derby on the other hand was very exciting...I had Dortmund...Molly Frosted...The other kids and the wife finished back in the pack...I knew I was in trouble Dortmund was out in front setting the pace...Just ran himself out...Frosted really impressed me...That horse closed great...Second year Molls has picked good one...

Clearly, California Chrome is the favorite...Favorites suck...No money to make there...Screw that horse...I'm taking 6. Samraat (16-1) to win...A couple people in the know really like this horse...And there's good money to be made...I'm all in...20. Wicked Strong (9-1) to place...Good horse...Good name...Moves into the 19th post position with 11. Hoppertunity scratching...A lot of people liked that horse, but a possible foot injury has taken him out...to show, I'm going with 12. Dance With Fate (16-1)...hey, when you're guessing at horse racing, how can you not take a horse with that name...He should run well, I just hope he'll hold off 5.California Chrome (5-2)....

For a longshot...I like 15. Tapiture (29-1)...I'll probably throw a couple bucks on 17. Commanding Curve (23-1) as well...

Monday Moaning

Did you watch the Kentucky Derby? Would you always watch horse racing if the jockeys looked like this...

Maybe you'd like them to wear something that the wind can blow through....

Saddles are overrated too....

I could post pics of chicks with horses all day...And I could find them doing kinkier stuff too...But I'm just stalling...Yes, stalling....Stalling to say that the best I could do this year with the Kentucky Derby was pick the horse that finished third...

Did I spend too much time studying horses this past week, which has led to my disappointment? Or did I not spend enough time? Listen, I was throwing money down on Orb, (the winner) who ran a great race...He came in as the favorite...The big money wasn't there to be made on him...I took my shots on Revolutionary, Itsmyluckyday, and Java's War....I played with a couple different Trifecta's...But nothing...

In our family bet, Little Beeze said fuck you dad...He put his money on Orb (winner, winner, chicken nugget dinner)...Molls went with her Uncle's pick and took Verrazano (14th place)...My oldest daughter had Revolutionary (3rd place)...I had Itsmyluckyday(15th place)...My wife had Mylute (5th place)...Yeah, studying up did me a whole lot of good...Fucking schooled by them all and their lack of knowledge and nonsensical ways of picking horses...

-I'm also stalling because I don't want to talk about the NHL playoffs...Especially my New York Rangers being down 2-0 to the Washington Capitals...Saturday they lost 1-0 in OT...That's a tough one to take there...I expect Lundqvist to play great...But the way Holtby has played through the first two games is unreal...The next two games at MSG...The Rangers need to take them both, and then play the best of 3...

There is something else that I have been noticing in the NHL playoffs...I noticed it the past few years...The physical play, and chippyness has intensified...The NHL playoffs are always more intense then the regular season...The urgency is always cranked up...And the physical play always seems to go up a notch...But the last few years it seems like it has gone to another level...And this year, there are games where it seems like 'Well it's the playoffs!' is just being used as an excuse for the physical play, chippyness, and penalties, and some players just being total dickheads! (See The Montreal Canadiens/ Ottawa Senators and Vancouver Canucks when looking for major dickheads!)

-Any Lacrosse fans out there? I don't watch Lacrosse on a regular basis, but if I'm flipping around the channels with nothing to do, and there's a college Lacrosse game on, I'll watch it...It's got a bit of a hockey feel to it...So, the NCAA Tournament is about to get underway, so I thought I'd give you the seeding for the tourney...

Last week there was a complaint about there being no new pic of Molls...So with the horse racing theme we started with...Here she is trying on some riding boots that are too big for here....

Monday Moaning

In case you haven't been paying attention, "The Avengers" opened this weekend, and this flick is going to bust over $200 Million for the opening weekend...Holy shit!

Oh, and by the way, it was fucking awesome...The Mrs. and I checked it out Sunday evening...They did a great job with it...Great action, great humor, and it was cool seeing shots of Cleveland getting blown the hell up!

And then of course, there's Scarlett Johansson...Hot as hell and kicking ass!


Tonight Mrs. Beeze's name is Scarlett!

Now, onto sports...

-Ohio State got rid of cheater Tressel, and his dirty ways...The brought in Urban Meyer to get things back on track, never mind the dirt that comes with him from Florida...And then this weekend, THIS story broke...Shit is unreal in Columbus!

-Albert Pujols finally finally hit his first home run of the year...I don't really give a shit...I've enjoyed seeing his overrated, overpaid ass struggle...Fuck the Angels for giving him a ten year deal...DOLTS!

-The Kentucky Derby lived up to it's hype of being the most exciting 2 minutes in sports...As "I'll Have Another" (15-1) came from behind and beat out Bodemeister who lead the entire race...He also beat out my horse, Dullahan who was charging hard as well...My oldest daughter had her money on Bodemeister, so she was pretty pissed...

-Sunday I wrote THIS post about struggling Indians pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez...Then the prick goes out there and pitches a good game...

The Indians have been a bit of a hot topic this week...With the Tribe sitting in first place of their division, and the Texas Rangers coming to town for the weekend, all the radio guys could talk about was the poor attendance so far...Some of these guys ranted about how Clevelanders shell out money every year for Browns season tickets, even though they religiously suck, and the front office has made it clear, they couldn't give a fuck about the fans...And if you've read my blog before, you know that pisses me off as well...I refuse to spend a dime on the Browns...

As for people not turning out for the Tribe...Well, shit baseball in Cleveland, during April usually sucks...Most of April is normally cold...even nice days, it gets cold at night...Then of course, we have a shitty economy here right now...People are watching how they spend their money when it comes to entertainment...Families may plan on taking a vacation, and dropping $150-$200 to take the family to a ball game may not be in the budget...

As for the fans who use the Indians' cheap owner as an excuse to not go, I could agree with that, if they weren't dumping money into the Browns...Also, the Indians are winning, and last year they were competitive...So a bad team isn't an excuse...

That said, unlike some of these guys on the radio, I'm not going to rip people for not going to the Indians games...Why? Because fuck it, I don't go...Shit every single game is televised...If that isn't enough, how about this...Tickets cost too much...Beers cost too much...Hot Dogs cost too much...Parking costs too much...And if we aren't taking the kids, a baby sitter costs too much...We've got bills to pay...Tuition for the kids...And just because some ass-hat on the radio says we should go to games, doesn't mean shit to me...

Monday Moaning

Well, if I learned anything this weekend, it was, never bet against Calvin Borel in the Kentucky Derby...Never again! This guy has a knack for winning "the run for the roses."

The Beeze family headed into Erie, PA to see my wife's parents, and of course...Hit the track...Best thing that town did was put in slots and a horse track...Table games are coming soon! They saw Ohio approved Casinos last year and figured they better stay ahead of the curve...Don't worry PA...This damn town hasn't even broken ground on this big money maker we've been promised...City and state officials are spending too much time with their heads in their asses!

So Derby day is always fun for us...I take my children's college fund, and try to make a little extra scratch...I let them play too...Why not get them started young...The boy...The famous, little Beeze, was the only one to make any money this weekend...He put all his money an Paddy O'Prado, so he made a few bucks...Now he has another reason to bust balls!

After the race we stopped at a great little place called Sara's ...Old school in every way...It has a classic drive-in feel...Excellent burgers, and dogs...The best onion rings...Great fries...Even better shakes...And the prices are great...Especially after you blew too much money at the track!

Awhile later, we got the kids to bed, and told grandma and grandpa, "see ya later!" We headed out for snack...A little pricier than Sara's...Without a doubt the best restaurant in Erie...AltoCucina

We both got our favorite appetizer, Fontinella Cacchione...Baked Fontinella cheese in puff pastry topped with mushroom ragu...Incredible...We sat at the bar, eating, me drinking, and watching the Cavs vs. the Celtics...These people were rooting for the Cavs...Then after some chit-chat, and it came out that I was from Cleveland...The questioned my green Boston red Sox cap...I had to inform them, that until Mark Shapiro is fired, I won't be Johnny Indians fan...Then I was asked if I was rooting for the Celtics..."Yep!"

They questioned this also..."How could I not want 'The King to get a Ring'?" Okay, first, I'm really sick of this f**king slogan...People in Cleveland and God knows where else, all acting like LeBron James has suffered through a 15 year career with no shot at a title...Bitch please, grow the hell up!

Second, there is only one king! Elvis...Costello!



F**k Elvis Presley! That no good, hillbilly, lump of shit...All he did was take other people's songs and shake his ass...

Third, I'm a hockey, fan and could really care less about basketball...But I bet on the Celtics, just to piss off some co-workers!

Fourth, I'm sick of the LeBron love fest! Everyone wants to tel you what a great young, man he is...Let me give you a couple tidbits you may not know...He's a shitty tipper...When you work in the restaurant biz, that's a big deal...Rich douches that tip for shit, can go eat a dick!

Now let me ask you this...How many kids does Lebron have? The media would like you to believe 2...they don't talk about the other one...Who's mother was paid off, and told to shut and and go away..."The King" isn't so squeaky clean people...And he isn't "The King."

LBJ, you want to be the king? Meet me on the ice!

Speaking of Ice...The NHL Playoffs continue to not disappoint...In the West, San Jose has taken a 2-0 series lead over the Red Wings...Could the Sharks actually be putting it all together? Vancouver is is up 1-0 on Chicago...Both teams have good firepower, but the Canucks have the advantage between the pipes...

In the East, Montreal and Pittsburgh are tied at 1 game each...This one looks like it may go seven games...Saturday the Boston Bruins took a 1-0 lead on the Philadelphia Flyers after a game winning, overtime goal by Marc Savard...That's the way to come back from a serious head injury!

Last, the wife and I are taking suggestions in the name department...I'm sure it will be easier once we find out if it's a boy or girl...Right now, on top of the boys list is, Finn...On top of the girls list is, Anna...Let us know what you think.

Well it's that time again....Time for the Beeze and his moaning....I've kinda been trying to figure out what I was gonna write about all day...I don't normally do that...I try to just let it flow...So I just threw my notes to the side, and we're gonna shoot from the hip...

Now on to a little sports...Since I was a kid I always followed the Cleveland Indians, and the Chicago Cubs...Yeah...I can really pick 'em...The Tribe, because well...I'm a Clevelander...You get stuck with sh!t like that...Speaking of Cleveland and sh!t...Check out these two freaking hilarious videos....

Seriously funny sh!t...Now back to my bad choice in Baseball teams...I always followed the Cubs, because when I was in second grade my dad gave me a Ryne Sandberg jersey for Christmas...I have no idea why....And to be honest I never asked...But after that I was always watching those day games on WGN...

Then when I hooked up with Mrs. Beeze I became a Red Sox fan...She's originally from Beantown, and has family there...Best damn city there is...Any f*cking way...where the hell is this going...I'm not sure....Oh yeah....The Indians SUCK!!!

Seriously...I bitched about this a couple weeks ago, and then they beat the hell out of the Yankees...So maybe it will work again...

Let me ask this...Why call up the prize prospect from the C.C. Sabathia trade, and then have him sit that first day up...BTW he looked great Sunday staring at 2 called third strikes...Welcome to the big leagues...Swing the bat douche!

Another question...Shin-Soo Choo has been pretty good with the bat...But the way he has played the outfield...He looks like Ray Charles...But my BIG problem with this is...The outfield coach is Jeff Datz...Jeff Datz...A former Catcher...Christ Eric Wedge...Is there anyone on your staff that isn't a former catcher?

Fun little stat about the Indians skipper...The Tribe is 69-80 in March and April, under Eric Wedge...Every year they dig themselves a whole...This team has no fire...The lack leadership...And that starts with the manager...They will continue to suck under Wedge's piss poor leadership...I've said my peace...Now go win some f**king ball games!

Moving on to this weekend highlight...Well not so much for me and my kids' college fund...Mine That Bird...A 50-1 horse won the Kentucky Derby Saturday...You can read all my thoughts on that right here....

Don't ask how much I lost...The real problem is that I won Nothing!...But my daughter won our little family pool...Smart a$$ little....

Speaking of the little Beezers...I haven't found my son laying on the bathroom floor in his own sh!t...And I haven't found any surprise puddles anywhere...But I was proud of him this week...Often when I pick the kids up after school they play on the playground with some friends for a while...There's this one boy from my daughter's class...Who I hate to say this, because he's a kid...But...You can already see he's an "in the way person"....He's got Douche-bag written all over his future....

Well Little Beeze kept trying to climb up one of the slides...But a bunch of kids kept coming down it...I told him to "knock it off...You're getting in people's way." So now he's going down the slide with my daughter and her friend behind her...And the D-bag kid now keeps getting in there way and saying mean sh!t to the girls...All the while his "in the way" hillbilly mother isn't doing sh!t...So I told my son..."If he gets in your way again, or is mean to you guys...Slide right through him...Take him down!"

So this dolt does it again...Got in their way and said something sh!tty to the one girl...And my little boy looked just like Ty F*cking Cobb...Feet up, right in the kids junk...Road him right down the slide, and to the ground...My son then gets up and says..."Yeah! That's how we do it!" All the sudden mom is concerned...But once she heard what he said she realized, at least slightly that her son is a dolt, and she may also qualify!

To the NHL...The second round of the playoffs is underway...The Bruins put a beating on the Canes in game one....

But Cam Ward and company came back strong Sunday night and tied the series at a game apiece...

Chicago, Vancouver...And Detroit, Anaheim are also knotted up...The Caps are up 1-0 on the Pens...I know hockey isn't for everyone...But give it a try...The Playoffs are great...Do it for me!

The last thing I want to touch on this week...I just read this little article in Sporting News Magazine about how base stealing is falling by the way side...One of the players featured was Carl Crawford...Who just happens to be on my Fantasy team...I guess Carl decided to say Screw that...Because Sunday, he went out and swiped 6 bases...Way to Go Carl! Base stealing isn't dead yet!

50 to F*cking 1...Are You Sh!tting Me!?!

The Kentucky Derby is always a great experience...It's something my family has always enjoyed...There is something very exciting to me about horse racing....And for some reason I love to take the kids college fund and see what we can do with it....

Well this year we ain't doing sh!t with it...We should have just flushed it down the crapper...That's because Mine That Bird...A 50-1 shot just kicked everyone else's ass!

After getting squeezed at the the start...Jockey Calvin Borel hung at the back of the pack and waited for his chance to overtake them...Just as he did two years ago on Street Sense...Well when Borel and Mine That Bird made their move along the rail....All I could say was "Holy Shit!"

That horse has a hell of a kick...first weaving through some traffic and then holding the rail...They blew the rest of the field out of the water....Once again proving that favorites are meant to be beaten...And horse racing is an amazing sport...

I loved seeing the reactions of Borel and trainer Bennie Woolley after the race...There is something special about seeing people wear their emotions on their sleeves...
