A Quick Monday Moaning

I bypassed the normal Monday Moaning in honor of my Traditional Beverly Potts post...But I came across a video that had to be shared...

Warren Sapp and Cris Carter speaking with last year's NFL rookies...A thing that is done every year, to help rookies look out for pitfalls, and how to adjust to NFL life, and blah, blah, blah...

Well now we know what is really being said there...






Cris Carter just told all those guys, go ahead and be an asshole...Be a criminal...Do whatever you want...Just have a friend on your payroll who is totally willing to go to jail for your ass, and the money you give him...

Unfucking believable....No wonder the number of crimes committed by NFL players are through the roof...They're being told it's okay, by a fucking Hall of Famer, who sits on the ESPN set each week, preaching the word of Jesus, and riding his high horse around town about how evil the Patriots are because they an under-inflated football...

Typical ESPN...Typical NFL....Typical Carter...

It was former 49er Chris Borland who brought this to light in and interview for stupid ESPN the magazine...Borland felt like he wanted to walk out while hearing this bullshit coming from Carter.

ESPN said in a statement, "We completely disagree with Cris's remarks and we have made that extremely clear to him. Those views were entirely his own and do not reflect our company's point of view in any way."

Carter of course didn't stand by what he said, and took to Twitter to apologize.

Seeing that video has made me realize how wrong I was. I was brought there to educate young people and instead I gave them very...bad advice. Every person should take responsibility for his own actions. I’m sorry and I truly regret what I said that day.”

He knew why the fuck he was there...The only education he was there to give was to 'stay out of the police report...Don't get caught...Have a fucking fall guy to cover for you when you break the law, as you surely will, because you're in the NFL and that's what we do here!'

It's this bullshit why I can't support the NFL...Goodell is on a crusade for the proper inflation of footballs, while there have been 95 domestic violence charges against players in his league over the last 15 years...There are countless drug charges...Countless DUI's...Countless assaults, some murders and child endangerment...Then their are the brain injuries, which are leading to a growing number of suicides....

Don't send a couple star former players to tell these kids to stay away from problem friends, and leaches...Don't tell them how to handle their money wisely...Don't tell them to avoid bad situations...Juts tell them don't get caught.

I Agree, This Should Go Viral

You're about to get full disclosure here....

I saw this on Facebook, with people trying to push it to go viral...The biggest reason people want it to go viral, is so this animal gets caught...I want that too....I hope he is caught and killed...But I want it to go viral so people can see just how fucked up our society is...

The attack was caught on a "Nanny Cam" which already says, shit we have a problem if we really don't trust the people who watch our kids...Hey, I understand...I have kids and I don't trust anyone...Why should I when I see shit like this happen regularly...This monster kicks his way in to rob this house, and beats the hell out of this woman right in front of her 3 year old...She didn't even fight back...He had no need to beat her like this other then to scare her and her children...and to flex his nuts, and make himself feel tough...He was being nothing more than a thug...Beating on a woman because he could...

This also has me asking questions about us, and myself....Honest to God, the first thought I had when I saw this was, 'That fucking nigger!'  I really try not be a racist person...And I wasn't thinking it because he was black...I felt it because of what he was doing...Believe me or not, but I have called a woman beating white guy a nigger before...Does that make using the word right or wrong...I don't fucking know...I've never been one to say any word is off limits...Should I feel bad for having that thought?   I did for a moment...But it is supposedly such an awful word, and he is clearly such an awful person, shouldn't they be a perfect match?    Yes, that word has a serious meaning to many black people....Yet there are many black people who throw it around constantly, like it means nothing....

And sorry, I don't care what you say, there is no difference between nigger and nigga...That's just lazy grammar...

My immediate feeling was this guy should die...Is that wrong? Is it wrong that I still feel he should die?  What good does he offer the world? Should we just start erasing the mistakes within our society? But then who decides who is a mistake...Or what awful acts qualify you to be a mistake? Maybe we'll just have to go case by case...Should I be judge, jury and executioner?  Probably not!  

 The longer I live and the more bullshit I see, the less I believe in second chances when it comes to criminals...

If that was my wife being beaten in front of my kids like that....Well, first, my kids probably would have taken some shots too, because they would have come charging to their mother's aid...They all have a bit of defender in them...But if that's my family, I'm bypassing the law...I'm hunting this piece of shit down like the animal he is, and I'm killing  him....That's not me being 'Johnny Tough Talk', that's just the way it is...I couldn't hold that anger down...I couldn't see that and not need to get revenge...

Does that make me a bad person?  Would that qualify me as a mistake?  I'm not sure what's going on with me...In the past I would see this, and just be angry, and say 'fucking kill this piece of shit!' and I be done with it...But I am finding myself wondering are those feelings wrong...Does wanting this animal dead make me just as bad of a person?

I'm not a bad person...I'm not as bad as him....I don't break into homes and steal...I don't beat up women and terrify their children....Those thoughts have never crossed my mind....And there is no excuse anyone can give that would justify what this animal did...Thinking he is horrible and should be dead is not wrong....It's totally fucking logical...The world would be better place without this asshole in it...

Athletes and the Police Blotter

It seems we can't go a week without reading, or hearing, or seeing a story about another professional athlete getting himself in some sort of trouble...And yes, even some college athletes as well...The list of crimes and screw ups is long and varied...

Possession/use of drugs, always a smart move! Listen, I'm not going to be the guy telling anyone not smoke pot...Go ahead, spark up...But if you are some one who is going to be tested for substances randomly, maybe you should rethink things...If your out and about, you probably should stay away...One everybody has a camera on you these days...Two, Johnny law is always looking for a nice high-profile bust...DUI, seems to be a big one, and we just saw it again this past week with Braylon Edwards...You're rich enough to hire a driver, for God's sake try to use a spec of common sense...

The Jets just released this X-Ray of Edward's head...I knew something was wrong with that dolt! Plus he's on parole, so a angry Cleveland judge could easily have his ass dragged back to Cleveland to spend a little time in the Work House...I really hope so!

Assault seems to make it's way around the sports world...The classy form being the ass-hats who beat their wives or girlfriends...Those are real men there! Even better are the guys like Ben Roethlisberger who have earned the reputation for sexually assaulting women...That one didn't shock me much, him with his big, fat, Shrek looking face...I mean seriously, no one really wants to fuck him!

Then there were the crazy cases like the Michael Vick case...Plaxico Burress shooting himself...Or Ray Carruth, conspiracy to commit murder...Travis Henry and "Bam" Morris, Drug Trafficking...Leonard Little, Involuntary Manslaughter...Dontae Stallworth, DUI/Manslaughter...Hell that's just some NFL guys...Then there's the NBA, full of gun charges, rape/assault, and drug offenses...MLB, full of drug problems, the occasional DUI, and don't forget attempted murder!

Now I have a question...What is the cause of this? Is it that these dopes feel they are untouchable? Indestructible? Do they think they are above the law because they play a game well? And while I'm at it, let me piss people off and ask if it's something racial? Look at Hockey...It's 99% white and the news stories about a hockey player fucking royally, are few and far between...Is this because Hockey doesn't get the same media coverage as the other sports? That would be a good question if there was any proof showing hockey players getting arrested at a rate similar to that of athletes from the other sports...But look it up...It's just not happening...Now maybe the fact that they're better drinkers than most is a factor, but seriously, they just don't get popped for all this stuff...

So is a racial thing? Is it a socioeconomic thing? Some would say yes, because they think Hockey is a rich kid sport...Tell that to the poor blue collar kids that have made up a large part of the NHL's talent pool...So, what is it?

I'm sure some of the problem falls on the leagues, and the owners, who's number 1 priority is making money...They'll keep a guy around if he helps the team win, even if he is a piece of shit...Some blame has to fall on us fans, who have accepted this, and forgive quite easily...I love sports, but more and more the people who play them are doing their best to try and turn me off to them...I love to take my kids to the high school football games, and I loved coaching the Little Beeze's Tee-Ball team, but I gotta wonder, do I want them watching the NFL with me, and hear the commentator break down the star players legal troubles...

Do you have to be a stupid ass, dolt to play sports, or do sports make you a stupid ass, dolt?

I don't know, but I've been drinking while writing this, so I'm taking my buzzed, pontificating, ass to the couch now...
