Monday Moaning

Well here we are again...My God Monday's come fast...Too fast! I guess sports wise, it's all about college sports this week...The NCAA Basketball Final Four is set...How many of you have a bracket that still has a chance? I didn't think so...Kentucky and UConn...And VCU and Butler...Who the hell had that!?! Well let me give my uneducated guess at this...I say it will be UConn and Butler in the Final, and UConn will win it...

Driving to work Saturday morning the local talk radio guys were crying about the big Ohio State loss to Kentucky...Conspiracy theories are saying they got a tougher bracket because Jim Tresel is a fuck-tard...Ummm, their first two games were against UTSA and George Mason...After looking at the brackets, and how they rolled those two teams...Their draw wasn't any tougher than the other #1 seeds...Quit crying Luckeye fans...They just got beat...Plain and simple...

Hell, I just saw that a rival Cleveland blogger...One who is always viewing things through rose colored glasses, is starting to show signs of excepting reality...She's_starting_to_break...

Saturday night while I was slinging the food at the Fish House, Notre Dame Alum, and Baltimore Raven, Tom Zbikowski was in the boxing ring again...He won his third professional fight in a 4 round unanimous decision, against Caleb Grummet, a former MMA fighter...Zbikoski was giving up 20 pounds to Grummet, and dominated the first three rounds...Grummet came back strong in the 4th round and worked Zbikowski hard against the ropes, but it wasn't enough to take the decision...

The NCAA Hockey Tourney was also taking place this weekend...I spent Friday night watching the games, and then again Saturday night after work...The baby and I had a couple bottles and caught up on the action...Sunday's games would set up Hockey's final for, which they gave the douchey title of, "The Frozen Four"...Here's the final four for Hockey...Minnesota Duluth will face Notre Dame...And Michigan will take on North Dakota...

Last week I predicted Boston College would take it all...Why not? They had guys on this team, including between the pipes that have won 2 titles already...But they got it handed to them Friday by Colorado College...I also was nervous about my Irish...Their Goalie seems to get caught out of position a lot...But Sunday night he stood on his head to help them to a 2-1 victory over New Hampshire....The Irish also have 12 Freshman in their lineup...The says a lot about Coach Jeff Jackson, not only as a coach, but also a recruiter...I hope they can pull it off!

So Saturday nights, when I'm driving home from the Fish House, I pop 98.5 WNCX on the radio...This is the "Classic Rock" station in Cleveland...I don't listen to it often...At this stage, there's only so much pink Floyd, and ACDC I'm willing to tolerate...But Saturday night they have this fat ass, "Mr. Classic" on the air with his "Saturday Night House Party"...He's got that scratchy, I smoke too much voice, and a quality burnout feel...

But the best part is the insane amount of burnouts that call in and request tunes...These dudes, and they're all dudes, sound between 40-60 years old, and they're sitting in their one bedroom, pounding Pabst Blue Ribbon with the bong on the coffee table, and the radio cranked..."Mr. Classic, man let me hear some Artful Dodger!"

Sweet Jesus, it's painful to listen to these ass-hats that contribute so much to society...But damn, it's funny too!

Monday Moaning

Yeah, even his bracket is totally screwed!

They call it "March Madness" for a reason...I'm guessing many of you have a jacked up bracket...I'll be honest with ya...The only shit I got right was Ohio University winning their first game, and Cornell winning their first two...I had Kansas in the final and Pitt and Villanova in the final Four...so I'm screwed! Oh well...To me, it's just basketball, and I could give a shit less...

The NCAA Hockey Tournament is set, and it should be another good one...Yeah, I know I'm one of a small number who pay attention to college hockey...It's my blog, if you don't like it...Piss off!

In the Mid-West the teams are 1 Miami (Ohio) vs 4 Alabama-Huntsville...2 Bemidji State vs 3 Michigan...

In the North East it's 1. Boston College vs 4 Alaska...2 North Dakota vs 4 Yale...

In the West it's 1 Wisconsin vs 4 Vermont...2 Northern Michigan vs 3 St. Cloud State...

And in the East it's 1 Denver vs 4 RIT...2. Cornell vs 3 New Hampshire...

Here's my quick pick of who is coming out of each region...Just as they did last year, Bemidji State will surprise some people in the Mid-West...North Dakota will have an epic battle with BC and squeak out of the North East...Vermont will upset Wisconsin and right that momentum out of the West...And Denver will plow through the East...We'll see how I do next week...

Next up...My beloved and clearly bewildered New York Rangers are slowly spiralling down the crappy...They lost Sunday afternoon, to the somewhat struggling Bruins...Some people have said Henrik Lundqvist has lost some of his confidence...I think he's lost confidence in his team...They don't score, and often the defense gets caught out of position...They're done!

On the Bruins end...It's clear that Tuukka Rask is their man between the pipes...I bet they wish they could get some of that money back from Tm Thomas...Also this week...For the first time I saw Zdeno Chara actually look like a captain...I never got why e was wearing the "C"...He never seemed like that guy to me...But he actually played like a guy who is 6 ft. 9 in. and 255 lbs. and showed some type of leadership on the ice...Sadly against the Penguins, his teammates didn't seem to get the message...

I have always loved what a big deal Hockey Night in Canada is...And I love Don Cherry..I may have to post Don every week...The guy is great!



I've had a little time to think about the Browns trading Brady Quinn to the Broncos...I really like Peyton Hillis, and he should help this team...And more draft picks is a good think...The Browns are full of needs...But I swear to if they draft another QB in the 1st round...I'm gonna be screaming like a Jets fan!



This past week Cleveland has had great weather...The kids and I spent a little time at the park everyday after school, and I have to say, the Little Beeze is getting better at dealing with other kids...He's always good at school...But sometimes on the playground when he and his sister are playing with kids her age...He gets a little chippy...Ahh, he's gonna be a fine 3rd liner one day! But he isn't taking the cheap shots this year that he did last year...My God he's learned something...

Last week I mentioned he did some art work in the bathroom with the tooth paste...Well we had a talk about that...No more painting with tooth paste...So Sunday morning I'm sitting on the shitter...I look at the wall next to me and what do I see...A new piece of artwork done by the boy...This time, with shit!

Monday Moaning

Well it's that time again...Time for Monday Moaning...I've got plenty to go on about...Mostly not sports related this week...Deal with it!

I'm starting with the BIG happening here in Cleveland this weekend...This weekend we had the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony...A rare switch...It wasn't in f*cking New York...It was actually here...In the city where the Rock Hall is...This crap has made hate the RRHOF for years...These twats have had no problem coming here to make money off of fans when they tour...They sure as hell can come here when they got this "honor"....Now we are so lucky...They have decided to let us have the ceremony every 3 years...WTF! Oh yeah...Why the hell is Madonna in, but RUSH isn't!?!

On with the show...Finally, after 40 plus years in the music industry, as a musician, singer, songwriter, and producer...Cleveland's own Bobby Womack finally got inducted into the Rock Hall...For those who don't know Womack co-wrote the Rolling Stones first U.K. #1 hit..."It's All Over Now" Is talents touched the entire music world, having created and work with music in R&B, Soul, Rock, and Funk...

One of my idols...Guitar God Jeff Beck was inducted for his solo work...He was already in as a member of the Yardbirds...His Jam was awesome!

Run DMC was inducted...I would normally knock Rap for being allowed in...But Run DMC changed Rap, and Rock, being the first to fuse the two together...

I've got Nothing on Little Anthony and the Imperials...There was also some other categories that they inducted some oldies under...I'll be honest...I missed that part...I was busy banging Mrs. Beeze!

The "headliner" was Metallica...I have no problem with them getting...But I have to say, I was pissed they were getting in before RUSH, and Deep Purple...The best speech of the night was hands down, the induction speech Flea gave in honor of Metallica...I have never heard anyone speak of metal like that before...He tried to let the rest of the world understand why it is what it is, and why it's good...

The only thing that made me feel even better was when James Hetfield acknowledged the fact that they got in, and the likes of Deep Purple, RUSH, Alice Cooper, and Iron Maiden should all be in there with them...Very cool move!

Moving on...I've got no college hockey for ya...The Frozen Four kicks off on the 9th...with the Championship on the 11th...

In College hoops it's gonna be Michigan State vs North Carolina...I'm pulling for Michigan State...UNC is the easy choice..F*ck that!

In hockey...The New York Rangers are still playing inconsistent hockey...They're up and down like $50 hooker...They have 3 games left...One with Montreal, and a home-and-home with the Flyers...You better do it boys!

Baseball season kicked off tonight...But it really gets going tomorrow...So if you can sneak out of work early and find a nice watering hole to catch a game in...Go for it...Forget about all the steroids crap, and just enjoy the game...Friday is the home opener here in Cleveland...I'm sure it'll snow!

What's a little Monday Moaning without telling you something about the Beeze fam...This week the little Beeze left me a nice little surprise...I was wondering what the hell was stinking so bad in the bathroom for a couple days...Then little dude had to drop a deuce...So he's in there doing his thing...A lot of time goes by...I go and check on him...He's laying on the floor with shit sticking out of his ass...It's on the side of the toilet...It's on the floor...And he's just chillin'...I asked him what happened...He says...."I got tired."

So I clean him up...Then I start cleaning the mess...Oh the joys of parenthood...While I'm in there...I figure lets' just clean this whole damn place...So I crap the toilet brush, to give that a scrub...It's dripping...Dripping piss...This little asshole took a wizz in the f*cking toilet brush holder...WTF!

One last thing before I go...Today I took my kids to a park...We often go to the park right by our house...But today I thought I'd change it up...We went to a park I love...It's right on the Lake, in a very nice (rich) community....This 'burb is about 99% white...The 1% that isn't is mostly pro athletes...While we're there I see these kids...They're trying to act all "gangsta"...They wanna be "thugs" so bad...WTF!

A) these kids wouldn't last 30 seconds in a tough neighborhood....

B) A drug deal to them is, stealing sh!t from mom's medicine cabinet...

C) their parents should have the sh!t slapped out of them! Wake the f*ck up people...Spend some times with your kids so they don't become assholes!

Monday Moaning

Another weekend has come and gone...Just as my hangover has come and gone...The Beeze needs to hop on the wagon...Gotta get my shit together for D&T Baseball....Have to be able to back up all my shit talking...

This week I'm gonna mix it up...I'm gonna start with the Notre Dame Hockey News....

Friday the Irish took on Northern Michigan in the CCHA playoffs...Sophomore Ben Ryan scored 1 minute left in the game to give the Fighting Irish a 2-1 victory...Kyle Lawson had the other Irish goal...Goalie Jordan Pearce made 21 saves in the victory...

This sent Notre Dame to the Championship game against rival Michigan...I'm not gonna lie...My c*ck was hard for this one...(it's a joke)...

After two periods the Wolverines were up 2-1...But the Irish said f*ck that sh!t...

They came back strong in the third and put up 4 goals to win their second CCHA Championship in three years....The Goal scores for the Irish were...Billy Maday, Calle Ridderwall with 2, Ben Ryan, and Christiaan Minella...Pearce made 28 saves in the win...

Four Notre Dame players were named to the all-tournament team...Defensman Ian Cole...Forwards Calle Ridderwall, and Ben Ryan....And Goalie Jordan Pearce...Pearce was also named the Tournament MVP...

The Irish have been selected as the #1 seed in the Grand Dapids Regional of the NCAA Tournament...Their first game will be against Bemidji State on March 28th at 7:30 PM...

Now I have some sad news for New York Rangers fans like myself....Former Ranger, Walt Poddubny died this weekend at age 49...

Now let's get to the big joke that has had the You Gab Sports gang laughing all week....Now I always fill out some March Madness Brackets every year...A couple through a bar I go to...Some here some there...And I traditionally suck...This year the Gab did a Bracket Challenge...So what the hell! Who's kickin' ass...That's right...The Beeze...Who had Cleveland State winning their first round game against Wake Forest...The Beeze....

Who, in the confusion of doing too many brackets at once...And an alcoholic haze, forgot to put in their Final Four teams....That's right...The Beeze!

Now I'm getting off of the sports topics...As I often do...I'm dedicating this week's Monday Moaning to my wife...That's right...This one is for Mrs. Beeze...

Friday night the wife went out with the girls after work...They've all been working like crazy and needed to get out...The Mrs. needed bad...She doesn't get out much between work, and trying to get some quality time with the kids...Then she has me constantly trying to have sex with her...Seriously...I'm all over her, all the time!

She had a great time, and by the drunken calls her friends kept making to me, they seemed to be having a great time also...When she came home though I decided to take a sh!t all over her good time...I jump on her case for driving...Especially because I offered to pick them up if they needed...That and because she use to get on my case for drinking and driving...So then the sh!t hit the fan...It was a quality fight...She cried, so I felt I had won...But as I walked away hearing her cry...I realized I'm about to lose...Nothing hurts more then hearing someone you love cry...

I went back in and held her...We apologized to each other...Then we started to laugh...Why? Because Mrs. Beeze said..."I love you...You F**king Idiot!" It was the best thing I had heard since I realized I screwed up my bracket...We continued to talk about everything and laugh...The we had some good old fashioned make up sex...Maybe I did win!

That's how I know she's perfect for me...We can yell and scream and say mean sh!t to each other, and still find a way to laugh...
