The NFL has a Problem....

And it seems like a Black problem....

One in four women will experience domestic violence in their lifetime...That is a sad, true, and frightening fact...And just like all walks of life, the NFL has too many offenders...In the last 15 years, there have been 96 reported cases of domestic violence being committed by NFL players...Of those 96 case, 94 of the offenders are Black...

In this time we are living in, where there seems to be so much racial tension floating through our media, many people don't want to talk about this...People are so afraid of offending others, that no one wants to have a real conversation...Well, I find it offensive that guys are beating the shit out of women...We all heard about Ray Rice...We hear things here and there...People seem to have forgotten the unresolved case of Dez Bryant hitting his mom...This shit is crazy...

In some of these cases, the abuse has happened in front of children...Ray McDonald hit a woman while she was holding a baby...Before that he roughed up his pregnant fiance...

There are cases of choking a pregnant woman...Punches to the face...Punches to the stomach...Thrown down stairs...Thrown to the ground...Beatings of all kinds...And folks, that's just some of the Domestic violence stuff...HERE is the NFL Arrest Database...799 in 15 years...It's terrifying...

Now you may be thinking the numbers are skewed because the NFL is made up of 66% Black players...Well the league is about 30% White...Well if Domestic Violence was distributed evenly (that sounds fucked up) then White players should account for 32 of these incidents...But they don't...Why?

I know domestic violence isn't just a Black problem...It is going on every minute of every day, in homes of all races and religions...I know my black neighbor across the street doesn't beat his wife or kids...I sometimes worry if his white wife is going to whoop his ass though!

 On average in the U.S. nearly 20 people a minute are physical abused by an intimate partner...And children around abuse are greatly affected...

• More than 3 million children witness domestic violence in their homes every year.

• Children who live in homes where there is domestic violence also suffer abuse or neglect at high rates (30% to 60%).

• Children exposed to domestic violence at home are more likely to have health problems, including becoming sick more often, having frequent headaches or stomachaches, and being more tired and lethargic.

• Children are more likely to intervene when they witness severe violence against a parent – which can place a child at great risk for injury or even death.

So why is it such a problem with Black players in the NFL...I heard one radio host go on and on about how black players "respect women" and "wouldn't raise their hands to women," because they were "raised by their Mothers and Grandmothers"...Well 94 out of 96 women beaters in the NFL are Black, so I'm not sure if that theory works...Maybe it's because so many Black players were raised by their Mothers and Grandmothers...Maybe because they didn't have a father around to teach them not to hit women...

I don't know, maybe being raised by only women drove them to a point where they don't want to be told what to do or not do, by a woman anymore...I don't know...The same radio host who said that shit was also the same guy who after the Ray Rice story broke, suggested that women watch what they say, and not "incite" or "provoke" men...Yeah, Mr. Stephen A. Smith is all over the place!

It also doesn't help the Goodell stepped into the Commish job and was going to be Mr. Tough on crime...His record so far has suggested that he is tougher on smoking pot and equipment violation then he is on Domestic Violence, and assault...Based off that database, he should get on the DUI problem too...Yes, after public backlash he got tougher on Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson, but that was only after everyone in the world saw what a helluva punch Rice threw...

The NFL needs to rewrite their policy, and make it tougher...Stupid fucking commercials telling football fans not to beat their wives or children are nice and all, but you should really be working on cleaning up your own house first...

But that doesn't fix the problem entirely...The problem starts at home, with raising kids...My son is 10...He knows not to hit a woman...He knows I would never hit my wife/his mother...He also knows, if some dickhead hits one of his sisters, he'll be helping me dump a body in the lake.

That is the only resolution I can come up with for this post...It starts at home, with how you raise your kids...And it's easier to raise kids with two parents involved in their lives...

Now I'm a pretty liberal guy, but this white guilt shit has got to stop...Anyone involved in this ad should be ashamed of themselves...Being white is a privilege? Fuck you! It's unfair that I'm white and some one else isn't? Fuck you, that's called life! I'm white, and I've been pulled over plenty of times...Stupid horse shit! I don't care if you are White, Black, Hispanic, Indian, fucking Martian, I don't care, life is what you make of it...No one should feel bad because of what color they were born, and who their parents are...Unfair shit happens to everyone...Don't believe me? Well pay attention...

A number of years ago...Before I even knew my wife, I was in shape, instead of the fat mess OI am now...I had taken the Cleveland Fire Fighters exam...Based on my scores I should have gotten in...But the mayor, a black guy named Mike White, decided to plug "minorities" in every third spot...Not paying attention to scores...A lot of qualified people got screwed over because of this mess...Me included...Ask them if they feel "Privileged"...Even worse is that whites are actually the "minority" in Cleveland, yet they aren't counted that way...

And when I was going to college, I was also working a full-time, and a part-time job to pay for it...The United Negro College Fund wasn't offering any money to my white "privileged" ass...And if there was a United Caucasian College Fund, Al Sharpton would be on the roof tops screaming racism...

This country has gone out of it's way to try and make right by it's shameful history of slavery...It has gone to great strides to help minorities...Giving advantages that were never given so many other ethnicities...The Irish, Italians, Polish, Germans, Croatians, Russians, Asians, Latinos, it didn't matter, they all faced struggles and racism when they first came to America, and were given nothing...They worked for it...

The first year of my oldest daughter's life, I supported my family on $26,000 dollars that year...Oh how our White "privileged" asses were living it up! Fuck you...I kept plugging away, and the next year I made $40,000...

I have a very close friend from Boston...He of Puerto Rican descent...In Boston...They can get pretty damn racist there...He didn't let that hold him back...He didn't get any hand-outs...He worked hard...Put himself through school, busted his ass climbing the corporate ladder...He's an accountant, living a pretty damn good life...He didn't cry foul...He didn't scream unfair...He did what he had to do, to get where he wanted...

There has become this culture where people don't think life should be hard at all...Where people don't think they should have to work hard, but they still think they should be living the life, with all the bells and whistles...Part of it is this fucking, everyone wins, everyone gets a trophy crap these days...It's pussified kids, and they are growing up to be useless, drains on society...

There is another reason I see for this...It's going to piss people off, but tough shit...There are shit loads of men fathering children, but not being fathers...And while it's not just a Black problem, it seems to be much more prevalent in the Black Community, then the White and Hispanic communities...There are far too many single parent families...If the mother is working hard to support her kids, then the kids have little time actually being parented...If the mother is staying home trying to raise kids, then she's getting handouts, welfare, foodstamps, and what-not...What are the kids learning? Society/the Government/taxpayers will give you what you need...So why bother working?

I swear to God, this is a true story...It happened today at work...A some what new kid, black, busser, was eating soup...Everyone is cool with you having a cup, but this kid was on about his 6th cup of a high cost soup...He's been doing this for a few days...So I said something to him about it...I wasn't being harsh, but I was lettingh him know, that has an impact on our costs, and if costs are up, we aren't getting raises...I swear to God, this was his response..."But I'm Black." I along with a couple other co-workers, was stunned...That right there is a fucked up mentality...I had to fire back..."So what, being Black entitles you to fucking steal from the company?" This fucking dope, just shrugged his shulders and walked away...

Isn't the President a half Black guy, who went to Harvard? What, was it only the White half that got him to this point? Go screw!

Bitch, we're all (White, Black, Hispanic, Indian, fucking Martian) privileged to be alive...Color doesn't have shit to do with it...It's unfair that the rest of us have to share oxygen with dolts like you!

Ignorance Was Bliss (part 4: The N-word)

Let me start by saying, the term, "The N-Word" is stupid...I will be using the words nigger, and nigga in this post...If you can't handle that, get out...People say using "the N-word" takes the power/sting out of the word...That's bullshit!

Now, today I chaperoned my son's class trip to the Cleveland Metro-parks Zoo...Monday the Zoo is free with your ID showing you live in the county...So we knew going in that it would be crowded...We got there right at opening so we had an early start before it got busy...After lunch the crowd picked up...Us chaperones had to be on our toes...

At one point a group black men pushed through our group of kids while chatting with each other...Every other word out of their mouths was nigger or nigga...Some say there is a difference...I say they're full of shit...So first off, fuck you for pushing through a group of 5 and 6 year olds, you fucking assholes...Second, fuck you for spitting out the word nigger, rapid fire, like a fucking machine gun...

At this moment I'm in a no win situation...If I stop them and ask them to watch it with that word around the kids, I'm willing to bet they get pissed at me, for being offended by them using a word that would offend them if I used it...

If one of these kids stops and asks me what is a nigger, I'm willing to bet these black men get pissed off about a kid under my supervision using that word...A word they just heard come out of his mouth...(our group was mixed with white, blacks, Hispanics and Arabs, but mostly white)

I'm also willing to bet, that no matter how I answer that question, this group of men will not be happy with what I say...(before you accuse me of being racist, fuck you...I've seen shit like this happen before...I have known, work, and like plenty of black people...And to be honest, I hate plenty of people from any and every race...I'm a dick like that...)

So I kept my eyes on the kids, and rounded them up...and we went on our way...And then to make things worse, one of the other chaperones leaned towards me and said, "fuckin' niggers"...And all I was thinking was, 'okay white trash.'

What am I getting at...I'm sick of the n-word debate...People say that the over-use of nigga/nigger in rap music, and Tarantino movies have taken the power out of the word...They're all fucking liars...Because if those black guys would have heard that white trash guy say "fuckin' niggers" they would have beaten the living shit out of him in front of a bunch of little kids...

Here, you want to take the sting and power out of the word, first lead...Lead by not saying it all the time...Stop using it the same way I use fuck...Second, ignore it when a backwards-ass dolt says it...I know these sound like shocking ideas...Shocking ideas that have been suggested by people wiser than I...But what the fuck did Martin Luther King know?

I know this may be an uncomfortable topic, so let's get a awkward laugh in here before I go...
