Everything Back to Normal...Nobody Wants to Watch the Nationals Again

It may sound cold, but am I wrong...The number one reason to watch the Washington Nationals is Stephen Strasburg, and now that he won't be pitching for at least 12-18 months...What other reason is there?

That's right, the rookie sensation has a tear in his right elbow, and it looks like he'll need to have "
TOMMY_JOHN_SURGERY" Some pitchers come back with no problem...Some lose velocity...For some it takes two years to get back in form...How long it will take Strasburg, nobody knows...What I do know is, that excitement around the Nationals that got ramped up a couple months ago when they brought the kid up to the big leagues, is gone...

In his brief time in the majors, Strasburg made 12 starts, pitching 68 innings, recording 92 strikeouts, a 2.91 ERA, and a 5-3 record...His 92 strikeouts leads the Nationals staff...

When the Nats signed Strasburg to his $15 million deal, it was for 4 years...Doesn't look like he's gonna spend much of that time pitching...Shit, and I thought it was tough being a fan in Cleveland.

Later, The Beeze.

The guy is a talent. Nonetheless, you hate seeing injuries like that to anyone. I was listening to MLB Network (XM) on the way home a short time ago, and the boasted about the young players for the Nationals. Other than that, I don't know much about them to have a good opinion.

Have a good weekend.
