Monday Moaning
Major changes going on for me...I was absent last week...Work has ground me to shit...It's been rough lately...The amount of stress I have had due to work lately has been insane...Then, I would get home after a long day, and get into a fight with my wife, who is sick of me working 60 hours a week, when my company was only paying me for 50...She understood my loyalty to my crew and not wanting to leave them hanging, but she was quite tired of me giving so much of a damn, and not getting the same or anything close in return...Plus last week, some other issues have come up with my family (that I am not allowed to discuss right now)...
I had a week of vacation two weeks ago, and received multiple calls and texts from work...including just hours into the first day...The stress and frustration with numerous work issues were weighing on me heavily...the knots in my stomach were horrible...The lack of respect of late was very hurtful...Over the years, comfort, some fear, and loyalty has kept me from moving, or taking a chance on something else...Loyalty to the original 3 owners who hired me many years back, as well as loyalty to co-workers...But those feeling lately have been replaced with frustration...and a growing ulcer!
I'm not willing to lose my family, or health, or respect for anyone or anything...
Thursday afternoon after having multiple talks with a couple who own an Italian restaurant, they put a good offer on the table...I had recently turned down other offers, but this one felt good...A month earlier, I spent an evening working in their kitchen, getting a idea of the menu, and a feeling for the kitchen and restaurant as a whole...the week before my wife and I ate there, and scouted them...I told them I would have to talk it over with my wife...
It wasn't hard convincing her...Guaranteed less hours, and a bit more money...Besides that, I wanted to do it...I really like these people, and feel a strong connection to them already...While the company I have given 20 years to is a strong company with 7 excellent restaurants, I feel like I can be part of something special, and bigger with these folks...
Friday I let them know, I'm in...Then I went to work, and planned on giving my notice, and as I walked in, I had a giant, steaming pile of bullshit dropped in my lap...There was a huge slap in my face, and a complete lack of respect shown to me and others, as the pile of bullshit was dumped on me...I'm not going to bash my former employer anymore, it was just clear that for me, my health, and my family, that is was time to move on...I informed my bosses I was done, and nothing they had to say would change my mind...
In the past just thinking of changing jobs terrified me...But I left work Friday with a feeling of great relief...Stress was already floating away...When I told my kids and wife the news, they were thrilled...Clearly all this shit wasn't just weighing on me...I'm thrilled about this next step in my life...I'm so excited and can't wait to get started...Sometimes we have to look to the past to find our future...
The Little Italy neighborhood is one of the many little gems scattered around Cleveland...It something I overlooked for many years, but am very excited to share it with my kids...Plus I have some personal enjoyment being a half Irishman who will be running the kitchen of an Italian Restaurant...
Saturday afternoon I took my daughter and 6 of her friends to the movie, "Unfriended"...They love horror movies, and don't find shit like the original "Halloween," or "The Shinning" scary...this movie sucked...You were stuck watching asshole teenagers chat on their computers via Skype, Facebook, and Text, and (SPOILER ALERT) ...and get killed by the ghost a girl they drove to suicide...Besides the movie sucking, one teen was played by a chick who is 28 years old...Seriously!?! But it actually scared these 13 year girls...Maybe because of the social media aspect and this digital age we're in...
After that I dropped off the girls except for one friend who was sleeping over and helping babysit...Babysit because we were going to Little Italy for dinner at the new place, besides hitting up one of the fantastic bakeries down there...My wife wanted to meet my new employers, and they wanted to meet her...Afterwards, she understood why I liked these people, and why I wanted to make this move...
Sunday was Mrs. Beeze's birthday (number not to be published)...She was happy with the new Blue Ray player I gave her with the new Star Wars blue ray box set...We're all getting pretty excited about the new Star Wars coming out around Christmas...
One of comedian Jim Norton's characters had his own take on the Star Wars trailer...
As for sports, I've missed a lot...But I'm thrilled my Rangers took out the penguins 4 games to 1...
The NFL draft is quickly approaching, and I can't wait to not watch...But I'll have an eye on twitter watching people freak out over the Cleveland Browns next big mistake!
That's it for now...But for the first time in a long time, I feel happy and energized, and wasn't dreading sitting down and writing a blog....More to come!
Have a week!

Monday Moaning
It's a beautiful Monday...Today I start a week of vacation from work...No real plans, just getting stuff done that needs to get done, and I had to use the time before I lost it...Also, today is Mrs. Beeze and my 14 year anniversary...We've made it 14 years and she hasn't killed me yet...I most be doing something right! I know she hasn't stuck around for all my riches, because I'm fucking broke!
-As I predicted two weeks ago, the NCAA Hockey Championship came down to an all New England showdown, as Providence took on Boston University at the TD Garden in Boston...A month ago I wrote about talented BU freshman, Jack Eichel, who won the Hobey Baker, (Hockey Heisman) and how he'll be the number two player taken in the NHL draft this year...and how no one should be upset about landing this kid...In every game of the tourney, the 18 year old Eichel was the best player on the ice...
But Saturday night, as the championship game moved through the third period, BU leading 3-2, it became the tale of two goalies...Boston U.'s Matt O'Connor, and Providence's John Gillies...Gillies the top U.S. Goaltending prospect, drafted by the Calgary Flames has been college hockey's elite goalie...O'Connor has been solid, and a workhorse for BU, but it was seen more then once in the tourney that O'Connor had issues when handling the puck...He let in a fluke goal in the semifinal after mishandling the puck behind the goal...And Saturday, another fluke play turned the tide in the championship...
O'Connor had caught a shot in his glove, and was looking to drop it at the side of the goal for a defenseman, and lost it too soon, and the puck bounced between his legs, and into the goal...3-3 tie...And the kid was visibly shaken...
Barry Melrose sat in the booth suggesting the Friars just keep throwing the puck on net, or dumping it in, and make the shaken goalie handle it...It didn't take long for Providence long to ride the momentum, and go ahead 4-3...From there, the Friars kept grinding and gaining confidence, as Gillies made save after save...BU had a huge advantage winning face-offs, but late in the third period, Providence took control of that as well...And Gillies and his 49 saves bested O'Connor and his 39 saves leading the Providence Friars to the NCAA title...
Talent-wise, I would take BU any day, but a little momentum and a great goalie go a long way...I felt terrible for O'Connor...I hope the kid can get past this...Fucking nightmares!
Now I'm wondering will Eichel stick around with his young, talented Terrier teammates, or will he dash for the NHL?
-In NHL news, the Buffalo Sabres who have a great shot at landing Connor McDavid or Jack Eichel, fired head coach Ted Nolan...AGAIN...Yes, they have fired Nolan before...The first time it was an unjust firing, and while they sucked this year, and actually looked like they were tanking late in the year, I can't blame that all on the coach...Maybe look at the GM who gave him a pile of shit for a team...Some bad contracts, traded away their franchise goalie last year, and brought in 4 different teams backups to try and be the guy...3rd liners and a couple 20 year olds who you haven't even let hit their full potential yet, aren't going to get it done...If you're rebuilding, rebuild...Give the guy time to get them there...If you're rebuilding, keeping a consistent coaching staff should be a key starting point...The Buffalo Sabres, are the Cleveland Browns of Hockey!
-Since its all been hockey so far, I thought I'd share this funny bit Jimmy Fallon did this week...
-Baseball season has started...And Friday was the Home Opener here in Cleveland...It's become an unofficial holiday here, just like I'm sure it is in many other cities...With every opening day comes in Cleveland comes a handful of protesters...LITERALLY a HANDFUL...Protesting the partially the Indians name, but mostly, the Chief Wahoo logo...Now while the organization says they won't get rid of the Chief, (because they know how many fans will be pissed) they have been slowly scaling him back...First with a script I and now the block C...Chief Wahoo is awesome...If they cave I'll be pissed...My wife is one of the most liberal human beings alive, and she doesn't get why this handful of people have an issue with the Chief...
But if it's that big of deal, feel free to not offend me by making a smiling white guy the new logo...The Cleveland Caucasians!
Go White Boys!
Have a week!

Monday Moaning
Happy Easter! Hope everyone had a great weekend...I did! but fuck that for now, lets get right into the bullshit that had me fired up late Saturday night....
After losing for the first time this season, three players from Kentucky left the court and didn't shake hands with the Wisconsin players...Fucking classless, but honestly, its not the first time this has happened after a major basketball game...Proving to me once again what a bunch of classless pussies basketball players are! Then in the post game press conference, one of those three players, Andrea Harrison continued to show his lack of class...His teammate Karl-Anthony Towns was being asked about Wisconsin's Frank Kaminsky, and Harrison muttered into his hand, and a hot mic, "Fuck that nigga!"
Total lack of class...This reaffirms some of the shit people talk about Calipari and his program...But screw that...the guy is a great recruiter, and good coach who cares only about winning and not turning his players into men...And surely not true "Student Athletes"...But what it really shows from Harrison is a complete lack of respect for his opponents and his team...Great spot to put the rest of those guys in at the press conference dick-bag! Yeah, big fucking deal, Harrison said on Twitter that he apologized to Kaminsky...No shit! That what everyone does when social media blows up on you because you were a fucking asshole!
Now the next part of this that is pissing me off...The media...If Kaminsky (a white kid) said this about Harrison, ESPN along with so many other outlets would have this on a constant loop, and Stephen A. Smith would be going bat-shit crazy! he and Al Sharpton would be screaming for everyone to burn the whole State of Wisconsin to the fucking ground...But instead Smith was on ESPN saying Harrison "made a mistake and will learn from this." He continued to explain how "times have changed," and "young black men use that term differently then an old white man would."
WOW!...Holy fucking shit...
Look at this a different way...Let's take the word "Nigga" out of the equation...If Harrison said the same thing but just replaced "Nigga" with asshole, or shithead, dick, or douchebag, whatever, Harrison should still be viewed, and ripped for what he really is...A classless loser...A fucking asshole! And he should be ripped by Stephen A. Smith as well as me...But flip it...Put Kaminsky there, and he said 'Fuck that asshole!" Smith and Sharpton would still be screaming that it's a racial thing and would want us to burn Wisconsin...
Remember just a few weeks back when Starbucks wanted their employees to try to engage customers into discussing race...#RaceTogether...You know, because everyone keeps saying we need to have an open and honest discussion about race in this country, but then two days later Starbucks shut it down...Why, because people are terrified to have an honest discussion about race...They're afraid of losing their job, upsetting friends or family members, or getting their teeth knocked out, or getting shot...There are people of all races that don't want to hear honest thoughts on the topic...their race and others races...
Yes, we all have flaws...Not just White people, or Black people, or Hispanic people, Christian, or Muslim, or Jewish...All Human Beings have flaws...Lets try to except and understand that first...When we get there please feel free to join me in an open and honest discussion on race...I'm not scared...After we hammer that out we can move on to religion...All except Scientology...Those fucking nut-jobs aren't invited!
-Ok...Lets go to something a bit lighter...This weekend in a shootout during an AHL game, Joey Crabb showed just how much he sucks, as the opposing goalie didn't hear the whistle, and wasn't ready for the shooter, and still made the save...Since Crabb sucks and shot it right at his pad...
-If you're on Twitter don't forget to follow the Gab @yougabsports...This is a tweet I posted Sunday when I had our account start following those dolts at Sporting News...
We started following @sportingnews 2day just to laugh at what they have become! We're in business because you tanked!

-Sunday was Easter...I had a great time with the family...Easter is my true sign of Spring...Baseball season is starting, and I have spent the last couple weeks getting prepared to defend my TWO fantasy baseball titles...The best time of year is upon us...The NHL playoffs are around the corner, and Baseball season is starting....
Maybe this will help get you in the good mood I'm in....
Have a week!
