Monday Moaning
No, I didn't see anything that good this weekend...Not even close...Instead I saw the nightmare of old people...Like 75 years old and up...We were visiting my in-laws, and while walking the dog, I went past a first floor window of the assisted living place they're at...Window open, blinds up...Old Man River was going down on Old Mother Hubbard...
Hey, God love them...I'm glad they're still getting it on...But as much as I love my wife, I'm not sure I'd be heading down south on that thing in another 30-40 years...I did come to find out that the Old Man River is actually blind...Extra props for him! Even if he doesn't know he was dealing with a slump-buster!
I'm not sure if there is any good way to segue out of that incident and into something else...Probably not since I was heading in the direction of Patrick Kane...
-Thursday I WROTE about the ongoing investigation involving Blackhawks star winger, Patrick Kane, and an alleged Sexual Assault/Rape...Reports are now coming out that the accuser has bite marks on her shoulders and a scratch on one thigh...She said they met at bar...Kane invited her and her friend back to his lakefront home...At some point she went into a different room...Kane followed her, overpowered her and raped her...Afterwards the two ladies left...The alleged victim called a relative, and then went to the hospital and was examined...
No charges have been filed yet...Police say "the investigation is ongoing"...
Saturday Kane was scheduled/expected to make public appearances in the Buffalo area, as part of his day with The Stanley Cup...Instead Kane spent the day privately with his family....So far, everything that has come out, doesn't sound good for Kane...More to come I'm sure...
-In the NFL, talk of getting a team in Los Angeles has been hot and heavy...And it's picking up even more, as Tuesday there is a special owners meeting setup in Chicago to discuss it more...San Diego, Oakland, and St. Louis are looking to move because they are unhappy with their present stadium deals, and/or stadiums...The NFL has said it will only support one new stadium in Los Angeles, capable of housing two relocated teams...
It's looking like the Chargers will most likely apply for relocation...The feeling is they have run out of time to get a stadium deal done in San Diego...To be able to get it on the January ballot, they have to have the deal figured out by early September...
If the Chargers apply to relocate, the Raiders will most likely follow, since the two franchises are partnered in a new stadium plan for the Los Angeles suburb of Carson...
Rams owner Stan Kroenke is working on a deal for his own stadium in Inglewood, California...Missouri politicians have a stadium plan in St. Louis that is a $998 million project to be supported by public funds....
Always the public funds...People like me couldn't have been happy when last week, a judge ruled city taxpayer funds could be used for this project without requiring a public vote...Again and again, the taxpayers get held hostage by a franchise...The politicians always cave and give the owners a state-of-the-art facility, totally funded by the taxpayers...The owners get the gate, the concessions, the merch, the parking, they get money for the naming of the stadium...The Browns stadium, the owner sold the naming rights for each entrance, besides selling the stadium naming rights...
Sports franchises, and their stadium deals are one of this country's biggest scams...Right up there with fucking insurance!
A number of NFL owners have predicted one or two teams will move to LA for the 2016 season...The fact that this meeting is going down Tuesday, makes me feel more confident that they are pushing this hard...
-Late Friday night I POSTED about dolts in the media going after Matt Williams...I closed by saying, "Don't count out Matt Williams and the Nationals yet." Well, a couple days later, I'm totally standing by that...I expect the Mets to stumble somewhere down the stretch here...Oh, and Stephen Strasburg came off the DL Saturday night and struckout 12 Rockies hitters, and only gave up one run, over 7 innings...They're getting healthy...They're gonna be solid...
-College and High School Football season is right around the corner...With those comes marching bands, and great drum-lines...I came across this video and had to share it...Some bad-ass drummer girls...
Have a week!

Why are Talking-heads After Matt Williams Job?
I spend much time listening to SiriusXM Radio...Lately it has been mostly Mad Dog Sports, MLB Radio...I also watch the MLB Network for at least a couple hours each night...And there has been a constant I have noticed...All these talking-heads either want Matt Williams in the hot-seat, or they say he already is in the hot-seat...
I have to ask why? Why the hell are so many people going after a manager's job when it's just his second season on the job? A manager who by the way lead his team to a first place finish with 96 wins last season...
Yes, the Nationals are only 5 games above .500 right now...but they are right there in the thick of it all...And they made the move to strengthen their bullpen by adding Jonathan Papelbon...The bullpen being a major concern for many loud-mouth fans and sports writers...I just read an article from some DC area hack who says they need to move Stephen Strasburg to the bullpen now...Yeah, because changing a guys role to something he doesn't do when you are trying to make a playoff push sounds like a perfect timing move...DOLT!
...
Wait, I figured it out...I know why all these talking-heads are after Williams' job...They all picked the Nationals to go to the World Series this year...Oh how they hate to be wrong...So is this how they hedge their bets? They attack the manager of the team they picked because their pick isn't a lock...
We also know how sensitive the Sports Media are...They're much kinder to the warm and fuzzy coaches and managers...So when they question Williams decision making and managing skills, pointing to why he didn't use pitchers "X" and "Y" in situation "A" and "B," they don't like it when he says they weren't available today...Of course these media members question him on why they didn't know this earlier...Again they don't like his response of basically, 'It's none of your business!'
Williams has made it clear he is not going to broadcast who is or isn't available going into each game...Why would or should he? Do these idiots not see that would give the opposing team an advantage...It is very rare to ever hear a manager pre-game, say whether or not certain relievers are available...
Another thing for these talking-heads to consider...Williams and teh Nationals have had to deal with some injury issues...Yes, all teams do...But just realize this...Williams had 5 starting fielders out, all at the same time...Names like, Werth, Zimmerman, Rendon, and Span...5 out of 8 is tough...Especially when a couple of those guys are looked at as key run producers...Two of his top three starters have seen time on the DL...
The fact that the Nationals are two and a half games back from 1st in their division, shouldn't lead to fans, and media attacking the second year manager...They should be excited that their team is getting healthy and making their push...We have seen many times before in baseball, it isn't always the best team that wins it all...It's often the team that gets hot at the right time...
Don't count out Matt Williams and the Nationals yet.

Monday Moaning
WOW! The weather got so nice in Cleveland on Sunday, it had everyone thinking about Summer...Which got me thinking about images like this one!
While my Brother-in-law in Boston is looking at another mountain of 20+ inches of snow, we're here with sun and 68 degrees....In the last year or two, there has been some crazy weather in the U.S. I mean we're hearing about Tornadoes year round now...Serious weather seems to be hitting everywhere...Well, except one place...The Cleve...Yes, we got some rain and serious wind from "Super Storm Sandy" but our homes didn't blow into the lake...Maybe Mother Nature has realized Cleveland has been shit on enough...
Besides that, we do enough damage ourselves...Just look what this dump truck driver did Saturday morning...
A large portion of I-90 has been closed all weekend while crews take that pedestrian bridge down...Dude knocked it off the pillars...Only in the fucking Cleve!
So, I have to admit that my writing has slipped lately...I've been distracted and tired...So Friday night I forced myself to write...I gave myself a time limit, and knocked out A_15_MINUTE_BLOG just to get my juices going and get shit off my chest...
Now I feel slightly recharged...
A couple months back I was talking about fan loyalty, and how owners and players don't show that same loyalty much these days...That piled on with years of watching Cleveland teams lose, I decided to go free agent...I said that I would choose my baseball team to root for in April...I'll still pay attention to the Indians, but they aren't making the cut...I think Terry Francona will get them going the right direction, but it's not happening this year just because they added 3 guys who hit below .265 and strike out a fucking ton...
I'll also pay attention to the Red Sox because of the family connection...I like that they added Joel Hanrahan...But as some one who kinda got hooked on the Pirates last year, that sucks for Pittsburgh...Also NESN always have hot chicks covering the Sox....
There's the former NESN chick Heidi Watney getting put in her place by the latest NESN hottie, Jenny Dell and her huge creamers! Which would you take?
This year, I'm focused on two teams...Both from the same area...The Baltimore Orioles, and the Washington Nationals...I really want to see if the Orioles can build on what they did last year...But I'm not waiting for April...The Nationals are my team this year...That Harper kid is good, and he's a cocky prick...I like that! Strasburg is a beast, and I'd love to see what he'll do with a full season...They've got a solid staff, and balanced lineup...Screw it...I'm signing a 2 year deal with the Nats!
And I'm not waiting for after the draft or free agency with Football...I have no faith in the Browns, and even if they land some big free agents, which is tough to do here, It will still take time, especially with the hellish QB situation this team has constantly been in...I'm all in with the Seattle Seahawks...Pete Carroll is a douche, but that's a hell of a team they've got going there...Plus, as much as a dick as Richard Sherman seems to be, I love that told off Skip Bayless last week...You can see that HERE...
- Saturday I posted some WISDOM from Bill Burr...The guy kills me...Just hilarious...There was another clip I was watching, and planning on posting...Then it was suggested to me to check it out by a facebook friend...Great minds right! So here's Bill on Gold Diggin' Whores...
Classic Bill Burr!
- I rarely talk Basketball, mainly because I don't watch it...There is nothing I like about the NBA...But I'm going to talk a bit of Basketball this week...Why? Because at one time I use to think Jason Whitlock was a good columnist...Now, after some of the shit he has written and tweeted over the last couple years, I realize he's almost as big of an ass-hat as Rick Reilly...This week Whitlock wrote a column stating that the entire NBA is afraid of LeBron James...REALLY? Why the hell would other elite NBA players be afraid of LeBron...This guy isn't the living legend that Whitlock and dolts at ESPN try to make him out to be...He's only has one NBA title...1...
Whitlock goes on to say that James and Dwayne Wade are the best duo the NBA has seen..."We’ve never seen anything like the pairing of James and Dwyane Wade. Two superstars playing at this level of efficiency, shooting over 50 percent from the field. They invented and perfected the three-quarter-court, alley-oop outlet pass. They popularized the chase-down, hear-my-footsteps blocked shot at the rim. They’re lethal at both ends of the court. James and Wade are 94 feet of hell. It might take a fluke or an injury to stop the Heat’s winning streak."
I'm not an expert on basketball, but this guy is nuts...Why doesn't he just give them credit for inventing the game...This shit is retarded...They've got one title together...They haven't proven shit yet...With age, Whitlock gets more and more full of shit!
Plus if you believe any bit of what Cleveland sports talk radio says, LeBron wants to come back to Cleveland to end his career...The rumors say he isn't happy in Miami...How much of that is true, I don't know...I know he crew isn't getting their asses kissed and put on the team payroll like they did here....Even worse is how many people would welcome him back with open arms...After all that hate...After feeling so screwed, they'd welcome him back...These are the same people who will never forgive Art Modell for moving HIS team...Gotta love the fucking Cleve!
In closing...Fuck LeBron James...Fuck Jason Whitlock....Cleveland is a bitch, but the Weather has been better then most places...Jenny Dell has great cans...Bill Burr rules...Go Nationals!
Have a Week...

Monday Moaning

This week's post was going to be mostly about my family's trip to DC...But things didn't work out quite as we planned...We were to leave on Thursday...Monday the wife got a stomach bug...By Tuesday she was fine, but I got it Monday night...I took Tuesday off to try and beat it...Wednesday I was back at work...By Wednesday night, I was dying...Fever over 104, chills, puking, shits, pure hell...I wasn't better Thursday, and the baby got a touch of it...Slight fever, and the Hershey squirts...
The wife and other two kids went...The whole reason for the trip/family get together was her uncle's military funeral at Arlington National Cemetery...

As they rolled into town the first thing they saw was the Washington Monument...I later found out from my brother-in-law that Little Beeze started calling it "The Mega-Weiner"...That's my boy!

There he is with his big sister at "The Mega Weiner."

Here's the boy at The Smithsonian...They were really excited to go there...They were talking about it for a couple weeks...The Mrs. talked about coming back Saturday, knowing that I was having a rough time, and she was missing the baby...But I told her no way...They had to go to the Smithsonian....There was no way they were going to get short-changed because I had the shits...
They got back Sunday, and Molly went bat-shit crazy when they pulled in...She was dying to see her big brother and sister, and mom...It made Mother's Day nice, having mom get home...
So while they were away, what did me and my peanut do, besides being sick...Well, she got over it quick...I didn't start feeling well until Saturday, and then I was still rundown...Over the course of these few days we played a lot at our front window...

That's her favorite place to play with her toys, color, and eat...Oh, and watch the birds, squirrels, and bunnies that hang around our yard...A few mornings we threw some bread out there for the birds, and then she got a kick out of watching them eat...
We also watched plenty of Baseball...Mostly Indians vs Red Sox...Let me say this, it was great seeing the Indians beat the hell out of stupid Josh Beckett, and his over-inflated, arrogant, ego...The Tribe ran his ass in 2 innings, which was good, because I had to go blow mud...Then came the Red Sox bullpen...What a Island of Misfits Toys that thing is...Then the next night was the battle of two mental defective pitchers...Ubaldo Jimenez, and Clay Bucholz...These two dolts just don't want to win games, the way they've been pitching...
The next two games the Sox beat the Tribe down...But the Red Sox pitching has some serious problems...But Saturday's game wasn't really on my radar...I had more important things to do...Early in the day we went to The Hooley...A fun little neighborhood street party with two stages, food, drinks, and more...Molly enjoyed the pony ride, and the Irish Dancers...
After we got home she had a long nap...We had dinner, and got ready to watch the Rangers take on the Capitals in game 7...She wasn't going to bed anytime soon after that nap, let-alone with dad fired up, on the edge of his seat, rooting on his Rangers, who squeaked out a 2-1 win...Monday they take on New Jersey in the Conference Finals...
And for the people who hate on the Rangers like they're the Yankees...Hockey ain't Baseball...Hockey has a salary cap...The Rangers aren't rocking some kind of Yankees like advantage...They've got a team of mostly home grown talent, hard working grinders...Not two lines of super stars...And for the people who cry and go back to the Rangers in the '90s...Yeah, they spent a ton of money, on star vets...What did they get for it...One Cup...They aren't the Yankees...And it was teams spending like that, that got Hockey to fix itself...So fuck off...Thank the Rangers, and watch them take it home this year!
And shit, I can hear the conspiracy theorists now, if it ends up New York, and LA in the Finals...Wake up dummies, and actually watch some Hockey...Look it how these two teams goalies have played...They're un-fucking-real...
Go Rangers, fuck everyone else!
Have a week...
The Beeze.

Everything Back to Normal...Nobody Wants to Watch the Nationals Again
It may sound cold, but am I wrong...The number one reason to watch the Washington Nationals is Stephen Strasburg, and now that he won't be pitching for at least 12-18 months...What other reason is there?
That's right, the rookie sensation has a tear in his right elbow, and it looks like he'll need to have "TOMMY_JOHN_SURGERY" Some pitchers come back with no problem...Some lose velocity...For some it takes two years to get back in form...How long it will take Strasburg, nobody knows...What I do know is, that excitement around the Nationals that got ramped up a couple months ago when they brought the kid up to the big leagues, is gone...
In his brief time in the majors, Strasburg made 12 starts, pitching 68 innings, recording 92 strikeouts, a 2.91 ERA, and a 5-3 record...His 92 strikeouts leads the Nationals staff...
When the Nats signed Strasburg to his $15 million deal, it was for 4 years...Doesn't look like he's gonna spend much of that time pitching...Shit, and I thought it was tough being a fan in Cleveland.
Later, The Beeze.
