Yep, more Hockey talk...Last week I posted THIS about NHL'ers and the Prime of their careers...That mixed with all THIS free agency and trade news, mixed with an idiot on Sirius XM's NHL Radio has inspired this Monday's post...

The Idiot is Michelle Sturino...And just when I didn't think her god-awful voice couldn't get more annoying, it did! I'm a big fan of NHL Radio, and most of teh hard "O" and "eh" shit doesn't bother me...And actually most of the guys there are professionals, and don't do too much of that shit...But Sturino in her TOrOntO studio is awful...The voice is nauseating...But it's stupidity and horrible topics are just as bad...

Sturino and some fill-in guy were talking Sunday afternoon, and the topic of all the free agents signings was up front, along with the Kessel and Oshie trades...Then they brought up the Brandon Saad trade...Little was said about the trade...Instead they were focused on the contract Saad signed with the Bluejackets after being traded there...

Rumblings came out that Saad, (at the time a restricted free agent) was offered 5 years at an average of $5 million a year, and it was turned down...Saad signed with Columbus for 6 years $36 million....

So Sturino started whining, "How much money is enough? What's more important, winning or money?" She was appalled that Saad would be willing to be moved out of the winning climate of Chicago for money...

Now I think all pro athletes are overpaid, (not talking about players in the minors [baseball and hockey]) but the market is what it is...So...

Hey dummy Sturino, Saad won two Stanley Cups making low money, why the fuck shouldn't he get paid? He's won, and he got moved to an emerging team...Besides that, he just a had a huge playoff performance that showed everyone in the hockey world, that he's just starting to hit his prime at 22 years old...

He's fast, strong, plays physical, plays excellent defense, and has plenty of offensive potential...He plays on the PK and PP...He's the type of player every team wants...Why the hell shouldn't he cash in....But besides that, this is Hockey...His career can end his next shift...Especially based on the way he plays...This isn't tiddlywinks...This is Hockey...If things go bad, this 6 year contract could be his last...These players need to think about the future too, not just winning...

Then this idiot Sturino was whining again..."What happened to the bridge contract? Why is no one doing bridge contracts anymore?"

A Bridge contract is a cheap 1-3 year deals to let players "prove" themselves...When an entry-level contract expires, players generally only have a few years of NHL experience and can be hard to evaluate....The bridge contract allows teams to evaluate their talent with a bigger sample size...


Hey, idiot Derek Stepan's last contract was a bridge contract, because the Rangers overpaid to get Brad Richards, and overpaid Marc Staal and Dan Girardi...So they pushed Stepan towards a bridge deal...Now he has them over a barrel because he's earned what the market says will be a $6-7 million per year deal...T.J. Oshie did a bridge deal before he signed his 5 year deal that averages over $4 million a season...

Teams and players do bridge deals...They aren't there for a guy to take a home town discount, they are there for teams to evaluate talent, and players to out-play their existing contract, and earn more money...

I'm not sure who hire Michelle Sturino, but they should be fired...Please, don't let just any TOrOntO dolt talk hockey because they say OH-ffense...Thay shold have  afucking clue too...Stupid stammering, stuttering, bitch!


-Now for something on the lighter side...In the past I posted a video of T.J. Oshie doing some fine charity working and making kids happy...Well, when he was traded this week to Washington, it broke a 5 year old girls heart...And Oshie, with some help from ESPN did his best to try to make her smile...

Okay Cleveland...You had your fun...You had your excitement...Now it's time for your friendly wake up call...It's time to relax Cleveland...

Hey...Listen up...I said relax!

What part of relax don't you understand...Well maybe you two can have a few more minutes....

So why am I telling Cleveland to relax...Because this city went bat-shit crazy over LeBron James deciding to sign with the Cavaliers...And him and his sweet, well thought-out essay he co-wrote with a Sports Illustrated hack...Yeah, it was well written...It was good...But these dopes in the media act like he woke up Friday morning and did that shit...He had been working with this SI guy, Lee Jenkins for a couple weeks...Seriously, dude said so in an interview on Mad Dag Radio...All last week, the sports media world was talking about 2 things...Johnny Manziel possibly doing blow...and "Where will LeBron sign?"  James played the media last week as well as he plays basketball...

And Cleveland...This is my hometown...As much as I rag on it, I love this bitch...But this city disappointed me with their begging for James to come back...Just 4 years earlier so many of them were mother-fucking him...Me, I had been trashing him for a good 3 years before that...But it was nice to not be alone anymore...But last week, they were swinging on his nuts again...And those dopes on WKNR....Go find that audio...These two clowns, when the news broke, you could hear them cumming and crying while they squealed like little school girls...I wanted to puke in my cheerios...

So Cleveland was thrilled with the news...People who burned jerseys 4 years ago were heading to the store to get a new one...Whatever tool-bag...But I finally was completely sickened, and embarrassed by my city, when multiple people in the local media, besides the average joe idiots said, "This is one of the greatest days, possibly the greatest in Cleveland Sports History!"

Are you for fucking real? Seriously, you cover sports in this city and you said that Jim Donavan? Oh he wasn't alone...A fuck-ton of his fellow media members said this shit...How about you idiots read a fucking book!  Shit, Google something other then LeBron James!

I know the Browns have sucked balls for ages, but they were the shit many years ago...8 League Championships...AAFC Championships (4)  1946, 1947, 1948, and 1949...NFL Championships (4)  1950, 1954, 1955, and 1964...Jesus Christ, one of your "Journalism" brothers that this area loves so much, Terry Pluto wrote a book titled "When All the World was Browns Town"

What the hell is the matter with you assholes?

Yeah, the Indians have only won two Worlds Series, but shit that 1948 team was stellar...And I think Larry Doby being the first black player in the AL, just a couple months after Jackie Robinson broke in, would rank higher then James signing with the Cavs...What about Frank Robinson being the first black manager in baseball...With the Indians...Oh, and in his first at-bat as player manager, he just hit a HR...Thats' not fucking sweet at all right...

If you really think a player signing to your local team is the greatest sports moment ever, then you need to walk away from sports...

Cleveland fans for years have patted themselves on the back for being such loyal and devoted fans...(I would consider the 455 straight sellouts at Jacobs Field to be a bigger deal)...The national media also from time to time talk about the great fans in Cleveland...What made Clevelanders so tough and loyal?

It was all the downs...Not the few and far between ups...Not the highs, but the lows...The fucking Drive...The fumble, that made me cry...Jordan's jumper over Ehlo...Red-Right-88...The '95 Indians losing to the Braves...The Braves who couldn't even sellout for their playoff games...The '97 Indians, a cock-strong team, one out away...Beaten by a Marlins team that was rented, and sold off weeks later...Yeah, that one hurt like a bitch...How about my Dad seeing the '54 Indians, one of Baseball's best teams ever, lose it to the Giants...

It's those painful moments, that made Clevelanders tough...After those defeats, Cleveland came back to the respective stadiums, and rooted for their teams...Clevelanders didn't take off Chief Wahoo cap...They didn't say fuck it, and throw away there Browns gear and sell their season tickets...They were right back there next year with that stupid dag mask on, throwing dog biscuits at opposing players...

In my opinion, those losses are great Cleveland Sports moments, because we didn't burn the city down and riot like Vancouver...We took it on the chin, and came back for more...The Cleveland that I love would have never begged a guy to come back, and wouldn't have acted so insane if he did...The Cleveland I love would not be going crazy for an egotistical rookie QB who parties constantly and acts like an ass...I understand...Clevelanders are thirsty for a winner...Thirsty for positive coverage in this town...I hope we see it...But we're better than this...

Looking To Go Five Hole

Yeah, I said FIVE_HOLE

I'm gonna get into a some Hockey talk, but first I have to mention the Preakness Stakes...Once again I have been bested by one of my kids...The wife, my daughter, son, and I all picked our horses...My Wife had Flashpoint, who lead most of the race, so we figured he'd run out of gas...My daughter had Dance City, who was in the mix the whole way and finished 5th...I had Dialed In, who came from dead last and worked his way up to 4th...And that little shit you know as The Little Beeze had the big winner, Shackleford...Even worse, my wife said he had Animal Kingdom for the Derby...I gotta get this kid to the track!

Now onto some Hockey...How the fuck do the Boston Bruins take a 3-0 lead, and flush it down the shitter...Just two nights before Tim Thomas shutout the Lightning, and looked like the Tim Thomas that we had seen all season...Honestly, I was glad I didn't get to see the game...Watching teams blow a commanding lead really pisses me off...Now the series is tied up 2-2, and it's clearly anyone's to win...

Now let's head down South to the hot-bed of Hockey...Oh, wait, that's not the hot-bed...That would be up North...And up North is where it looks like the Atlanta Thrashers will be going...After much rumor, and speculation that the Thrashers are being sold and moved to Winnipeg, we still have much rumor and speculation...

Every party involved, and even not involved, are all leaking bits of information...The team is sold...The team is in the process of being sold...Negotiations are still going on...Season Tickets for Atlanta are being sold, the team isn't leaving...I have read more shit on this asshole organization in the last 24 hours, then...Fuck, I got nothing...I just know I have read too much, to walk away with so little information...

The NHL is denying the deal happening, but behind the scenes they are pushing hard for it...In their most successful season the Thrashers lost $20 million...Of Course the fans and city blame ownership!

If the deal does happen, and it will, this will be the second time Atlanta will lose a Hockey team to a Canadian city...The Flames left Atlanta for Calgary in 1980...Umm, by the way, I'm okay with that...The Jets should have never left Winnipeg for Phoenix...Yeah, Coyotes, you're next to move! Canadian cities have always supported their teams...Much more than many U.S. cities...(I'm Looking at you Atlanta)

Sure, Thrashers fans came out in full force Saturday to show their support for the team...All 250 of them!

How often do we see people show up only when they are faced with losing something...

From what I have read, Management is still planning on selling ticket packages, and there are actually some fans who are planning on buying...My God it must be nice to be such an optimist!

Speaking of being optimistic, As I figured, the world didn't end Saturday...The Earth is still spinning, I'm still writing, and the fuck-tards who predicted this bullshit, are looking for the next day on the calendar that they should try to stir this shit up...

Gary Bettman Has Saved the NHL

After much talk, and way too much bitching and whining from no good, former shitty backup goalie, cunt-rags like Glenn Healy...Gary Bettman put his foot down, and first kept Vancouver's Green Men from touching the glass of the visiting teams penalty box...Then they were banned...

God forbid fans have fun, and have a little interaction with the players...Hockey fans have always taunted, and razzed players...But twats like Healy bitched, and Bettman, listened...Once again, Bettman had pissed me off...

But wait...What is this? My God Gary Bettman, you are a genius! The Green Men have been replaced with a nice set of creamers!


You've won me over Bettman...I'm all in with you asshole! I'll take nice cans over Green dudes doing hand-stands any day!
