The Movie George Lucas Wants Us to Forget...

But I won't...I can't...How could you forget such a classic...Especially a guy like me, from Cleveland...

The Movie I'm talking about...Howard the Duck....
-
-
I gotta figure Tim Robbins, and Lea Thompson would like to forget about it...Bad story...Bad acting...Just all around bad...
-
If you don't know what this silly little tale is all about, let me enlighten you...
-
Some douche bag scientist in Cleveland is messing around with some laser, and brings Howard the Duck down to Earth with it...Because apparently there are a sh!t-ton of walking, talking, ducks out in space...
-
Then some evil "Dark Overlord" comes down from space and takes over the scientists body...Apparently there are a lot of those in space too....Go figure, some dummy in Cleveland screwed up again...
-
Now it gets intense...Howard falls for Lea Thompson...And she falls for him...By the way, she is a crappy musician, in a crappy band...This was the eighties...Everyone wanted to be a rock star, and Cleveland was selling itself as the home of Rock & Roll...It's hard to sell the home of closing steel mills...
-
Tim Robbins becomes Howard's best buddy...And Howard must save Earth from the "Dark Overlord." It's just plain silly...
-
It's no wonder Lucas doesn't bring it up when talking about all his classic films...But that's why I'm here...To bring you the important stuff...
-
Check out this classic scene....

-

And you can't forget this classic ending....

WOW! That stinks!

Later, The Beeze.

Yes. But we all love it, in a sick perverse kinda way!
I always remember thinking about Lea Thompson's hair, that it was amazing she could crimp it that much... it still amazes me...

Wow, what a blast from the past. That movie was so bad it was entertaining when I was a kid.

I think I'm going to rent it for my kids to today to help warp their little minds like mine was when watching this B-MOVIE classic.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane it gave me a good chuckle first thing this morning.

I'm so glad I'm not alone!

That hair was awesome!

Thanks for reading.

I am so old, and such a comic book geek that I remember reading the Howard the Duck comic books. Those were great. The movie was clearly not.

Did you know that Howard the Duck is a comic book? That is the kind of stuff you learn when yo marry a nerd. My sister and I were just talking about how we want to show it to the girls. It is a classic you can't deny that. Whether good or bad it's still a classic.

I knew it was a comic, but I never read those...They had to be better then the movie...But all of us with children should pass this master-peice on to them...It's for the good of mankind!

Yeah it is a classic. A classic POS. It is right up there with Battlefield Earth, Waterworld, and Gigli.
