So word came down, Switch-hitting Catcher, Victor Martinez has signed a 4 year deal for about $50 million, with the Detroit Tigers...I'm scratching my head, wondering who is going to catch for the Sox...
Maybe they can get Big-Sloppi, David Ortiz to catch, since they thought picking up his $12 million option for this season was smart...
They do have Jarrod Saltalamacchia, who is also a switch-hitting catcher, but he has yet to produce consistently, the way Martinez has over his career (career .300 batting average)...While battling a couple injuries last season, Martinez still managed to hit .302, with 20 home runs, 79 RBI, with a .351 on base percentage...Saltamacchia has a career batting average of .248, and in his 3 seasons has only managed 95 RBI...
The Sox could always re-sign old faithful, Jason Varitek...Why not, he struggled to hit his own weight last year, and his arm gets weaker by the day...

Good luck with!
Later, The Beeze.
